Me-Maw Thoughts

Wake up with Jesus!!
What is the first thing that enters your mind when you wake up. When you are aware that a new day has dawned with bran new opportunities and challenges?
In addition to that, if you are like some of us more mature (not older) individuals who make trips to the bathroom all during the night, what crosses your mind during those times?
Very likely our day will follow those first thoughts! Sometimes we may begin to list in our mind the multitude of task that are expected of us or a situation that seems out of control, or a need that we just cannot seem to get met.
May I tell you that the more you think about the problems or situations, the larger they will grow in your mind.
As children of Almighty God, the Creator of the Universe, we have the promise of Peace that passes understanding but it starts with your thoughts.
The Bible, the guide book of life says:
Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Philippians 4:7 (KJV)
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Colossians 3:15 (KJV)
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
We cannot worry and have peace at the same time. We cannot fear and have peace at the same time. If we are to walk in the peace that Father God promised, we must understand who Jesus is and who we are.
We are the beloved children of the God who spoke all things into existence and who has declared that he will not only provide our needs but our desires when we seek Him and His ways.
Jesus declared that we can live life in peace regardless of the circumstances or situations when He informed us that He had overcome the world.
John 16:33 (KJV)
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
John 14:27 (KJV)
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Jesus is assuring us in these verses that there is nothing we face that He has not overcome for us and He will move mountains and send angels and order circumstances in everything we face.
But, do we truly believe that. Do our first thoughts in the morning or our thoughts throughout the night reflect the fact that we understand deep in our Spirit that Jesus really overcame the world.
Do our thoughts center on who He is and therefore who we are. He was victorious and we are victorious. But in order to walk in this peace out first thoughts should follow Paul’s instructions to the church at Philippi.
Philippians 4:8 (KJV)
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
The bottom line is, if you want the Peace of God to guide your day, your first thoughts should be of His Glory. Declare His Glory not only invades your life and your family’s life, but the whole earth. Think on the Love that sent Jesus to the cross and thank Him for that.
Thank Him for salvation and that you have another day to serve Him. Think about the positive things in your life and the people who you know are for you. Thank God that you are precious in His sight. Declare that with God all things are possible and with Him on our side, we can walk through our day with great Peace.
Choose Peace, choose Victory!!

Father, in Jesus name I come to you. Thank you for the Peace that you give that can fill us regardless of what is going on in our lives. Thank you for infusing us with the truth that you are for us and if you are for us who can be against us! Let us understand you are real, and you are powerful, and you will work thorough the natural and the supernatural to give us all good things. Amen
Walk in Peace! Love MeMaw
