“PERSPECTIVE”

Me-Maw Thoughts

The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof!

I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence cometh my help, my help comes from the Lord above!

The Joy of the Lord is my strength!

In His presence is fullness of Joy!

Let God arise and His enemies be scattered!

With God nothing is impossible!

These are a few encouraging scriptures from the Word of the Living God, to keep in mind as we go through what seems to be a long tunnel of a virus out of control and groups of people declaring acting like “good is evil, and evil is good”!

What I find true every time is that in the presence of the Lord God Almighty our perspective changes.

As we spend our energy on spending time concentrating on His promises, sitting in His presence, and listening to the impressions deep within us, we look at life with an eternal perspective.

No matter how long this virus and chaos stays around, it is but a vapor (like our lives) in eternity.

Nothing Can replace the Joy, Peace and Security found in His presence.

We need to come to Him with our entire being.  I want to point out the things we need to do that the woman in Luke 7 did.

Luke 7:37-38 (KJV)
37 And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment,
38 And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

This woman who was known as a far from perfect person, did four things we should take note of!

  1. She washed His feet with her tears, as a sign of repenting, and recognizing Jesus as the Savior of the World! We would do well to understand repentance is a continual process in the life of a Christian. We must keep clean hands and a pure heart. At someone’s feet is a true place of humility. How long has it been since you just bowed at the feet of Jesus and wept over your own failures and the condition of our world?

  1. She wiped His feet with her hair. We are taught in other scriptures that a woman’s hair is her glory. This woman took her glory and used it for Jesus good, to wipe away her tears!  We must give all Glory to Jesus and the Glory replaces our tears!

  1. She kissed His feet as an act of adoration, maybe not fully aware that those feet would be pierced for all the wrongs she had done. We need to adore and give honor to the one who walked the road to suffering for us.

  1. Then she anointed His feet with Costly ointment. She gave the best she had to anoint Jesus or pour out her praise on Him.  We must give our best praise and adoration and pour out our praise of understanding who Jesus really is.

If we will indeed repent with tears giving God Glory and pouring out our Praise on Him, our perspective will clear up and become one of eternal value.

You! Yes you! Are on earth to make a difference and when our perspective is on who God is and what Jesus Christ did for all our sin, we can carry out that commission!

Father, in Jesus name I come!  I ask you to clarify our vison and invade us with a desire to make a difference wherever we are.  Fill us with an eternal perspective and may we bow at your feet and pour our praise and glory on you! Fill us with understanding of your Love, and provision of all we need.  May we be a light in the darkness that is trying to overtake hearts and minds and our light will prevail.  Amen

Spend time considering an eternal perspective!

Love, MeMaw
