Me-Maw Thoughts

Do I realize I did not do MeMaw Thoughts last week…YES!
Is there a reason I did not do MeMaw Thoughts last week…YES!
After being up most of the night before, my words would probably have made no sense!
My husband Ronald was awakened late Monday night with severe arm pains running through his arm and into his chest and was transported to the hospital via ambulance. He was there until Wednesday and seems to be doing fine now but will have another test on his heart tomorrow because of on-going artery problems.
When I got to the hospital shortly after the ambulance did, I was stopped at the door and informed I could not go in because I was not there to be treated.
I knew the pandemic we are experiencing had hospitals in a “no visitor” stage but thought they might let me into the E.R. room with Ronald.
But it was not to be. I could only get information by phone! I waited outside and in my car for a couple of hours until they decided they were keeping him.
Why am I telling you this? I have a truth to share that became even more real during these days of separation and frustration of trying to get information about what they were doing or concluded.
Psalm 91:1-2 (KJV)
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
May I tell you that when you receive Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord you dwell in the secret place of the Lord God Almighty. This is the place of security in His care no matter what is happening to you or around you. You see God is our refuge and when we place our trust in Him, we need never fear nor will we ever be alone.
The presence of the Most High God and the security of His love gave me and Ronald a peace that the world cannot give.
Hebrews 13:5 B (KJV)
for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
The thought of Ronald in the E.R. with a bunch of strangers, was a little unsettling but the truth that we are never alone settled in like a warm blanket!
The truth that God was in control and there is no distance or time that can take us from under the secure wings of His love is so amazing!
The truth that He wants to relieve us of all our cares, set my heart to worship the one who has no boundaries and who knows no time!
1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
The word is truth and the truth sets us free. Free from the pressures of life that would drag us down to fear and despair.
Faith that we are under His wings, in His care, and loved beyond measure allows us to cast all our cares on Him.
The verse from 1 Peter does not say cast some or most of your cares, but it tells us to cast them all!
What has you stressed and worried and concerned right now? Those things may be fact, but the truth overcomes fact. The truth is with God you can walk in Faith and Victory no matter the circumstances.
When you stay under the shadow of the Most High God, you can walk in security, peace and feel His arms and presence continually.
How do I know? Because that is where I dwell and where my security is!
The Apostle Paul said: “In Him I live and move and have my being!”.
I do not want to travel this journey called life without Him!
How about You?

Father God, Lord of all, I come with a grateful heart that you are real, and your presence is as real as my breath. To have your presence constantly with me is the most powerful thing on earth. May each person who reads this dwell in that shelter and abide in you. What a privilege to know we are in the palm of your hand. In Jesus name I come, invade every readers heart! Amen
