Psalm 119:130 (KJV)
The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.
Today’s topic is how powerful it is when we know and speak God’s Word!
As I was reading Psalm 119 this morning, which is all about the word, this verse caught my attention and my heart!
Let us look at the beginning! In Genesis 1, verses 3,6,9,11,14.20,24, God said, and it was so. God created by His words!
If we have received Jesus as our Savior, the Spirit of the Living God lives inside us! Therefore, when we speak His Word, it is powerful and can cause people and circumstances in our lives to change!
Mark 11:23 (KJV)
For verily I say unto you, That whosoever SHALL SAY unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which HE SAITH shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever HE SAITH.
We can speak to mountains of fear, doubt, lack, distress, etc.
Here are a few examples of Jesus speaking the word! There are many, many others!
Luke 13:12 (KJV)
And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.
Mark 5:41 (KJV)
And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.
Luke 7:14 (KJV)
And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
Matthew 8:13 (KJV)
And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.
Sometimes Jesus touched or did other things, but He always said!
Peter said and things happened:
Acts 9:34 (KJV)
And Peter said unto him, Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately.
Acts 9:40 (KJV)
But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up.
Please notice that Peter understood it was not in his power he was speaking but it was speaking in faith in Jesus Christ. It is never in our power that words work but in the power of the risen Lord!
When we speak the word or the truth of the word, even when we do not see things happening yet, things are being handle in the spirit realm.
May I tell you that our prayers and declarations should be speaking the word and praising God for moving on our behalf by quoting what He has promised or the truth of those promises and who He is!
The enemy of all that is good trembles when we speak the word. Jesus showed us how to overcome every temptation when He was tempted in the wilderness!
Matthew 4: 4, 7,10 Jesus responds to each temptation with “IT IS WRITTEN”!
Whatever we face, we can face it with scripture of the promises of God that never fail. Make the enemy shake and tremble by using the powerful, creative word!
Pray and Praise using the WORD and TRUTH OF THE WORD!!

Father, in Jesus’ name I come! Thank you for your word that sets us free and gives us authority over the enemy and all his tricks. Touch each person who reads this and give them a desire to “Hide Your Word” in their heart! Amen
