Me-Maw Thoughts

Do you remember when you were in elementary school the games that would have teams. Red Rover, different kinds of ball teams, school plays or even debate type teams?
As we grew to middle school age, study groups or sports team players would involve being chosen.
Beauty pageants and promotions involve being chosen.
We all love being chosen. Many a child has had to be held as they cried because they were chosen last or not chosen at all.
Many in later years have been so hurt by not being chosen for a sports team or pageant winner, or promotion, that it has produced despair or anger.
This subject came to mind this morning in my dedicated time with the Lord as I was reminded of the scripture in John 15:16!
John 15:16 (KJV)
Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
John 15:16 (TPT)
You didn’t choose me, but I’ve chosen and commissioned you to go into the world to bear fruit. And your fruit will last, because whatever you ask of my Father, for my sake, he will give it to you!
I want you to let that truth get deep in your spirit, your innermost being!
YOU ARE CHOSEN! I AM CHOSEN!
God desires all people come to Him and He has chosen that all who come bear fruit and fulfill the plan they were created and place on this earth to do!
We choose to say yes to that choosing as we come to Him and yield to His Spirits drawing. He has chosen to commission us to bring the kingdom’s truths to this earth.
It is important that we pray for those we encounter and even those we do not know that they will yield to the truth of the Cross and all Jesus did for us!
Read that verse again. We are chosen for a purpose! Just as in a game or on a team, we have a purpose. We have a special assignment, and that assignment will show people a better way to live.
Living a life that bears fruit for the kingdom.
We are all created with talents and abilities and when we use those for the kingdom of God, the fruit, or characteristics of a new life in Jesus Christ will shine through!
Galatians 5:22–23 (KJV)
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance.
Galatians 5:22–23 (TPT)
22–23 But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions:
joy that overflows,
peace that subdues,
patience that endures,
kindness in action,
a life full of virtue,
faith that prevails,
gentleness of heart, and
strength of spirit.
This is what we are chosen for. When we allow Jesus to help us walk in these attributes, we will change the world around us. The difference will remain, and the kingdom will be shown to others!
Chosen, we are special, we are chosen. We are not chosen last, but we are loved and chosen first. Yes, each of us is the number one chosen vessel. God can have many number ones, He is God!

Father, thank you for choosing me just as you have chosen all who read this. Then we choose if we will respond. May each one who reads this respond to your call and step out as the chosen one to bring your kingdom more and more on earth as it is in Heaven! Oh! How much you Love each of us and desire we show forth the fruit of the spirit in our lives that will point others to Jesus. We say yes to your choosing and follow you with our whole heart! In Jesus’ name I pray this! Amen
YOU ARE CHOSEN! Love, Memaw
