“Weak Place!”

So, I want to share with you something that came to me a few days ago.

I have this weird habit of tearing into pieces every paper, etc. that I put in the trash can.

I have no clue where this habit comes from and at times it has caused me to have to fit together some pieces of paper because I realized I needed something on it.

If it is a piece of paper, depending on what is on it, I may tear it into several pieces, but when I go through the mail, opening even the ones I know are junk, I just tear the envelope and what was in it into two pieces!

Yes, that is weird!

A few days ago, as I was going through that process, something was happening that had happened many times before but the truth of it at that point hit me!

When I am tearing an envelope with some papers, I sometimes cannot tear it where I first try, because it is too strong at that point. I may try more than once before I find the spot weak enough to tear!

The truth of how that applies to our lives hit me right in the heart! We have strong points, and we have weak points. Things in our lives happen that we can stand strong and face it and defeat in victory!

Other things that happen bring us to our knees or to despair. At those times life hit us in our weakest point!

Think about your everyday life, not some out of the ordinary day or happening!

I am strong when it comes to dealing with issues of daily life in the areas of duties or decisions and encouraging others in their problems.

But one weak area I must work on is frustration when my computer does not work right, and I cannot figure it out and/or cannot reach the phone help I need. May I tell you I have shed tears of frustration over this type of thing!

I am better now than I used to be because I know that is an area I must be careful in and pray and receive patience from the Lord God Almighty!

When we recognize our weak places and put on the armor of God’s love and care, we will be aware when an attack comes and can stand strong because we have understood our weaknesses, confronted them, and recognize when those situations arise!

Just as we need to confront our daily life weaknesses and deal with them, we also need to deal with the sudden, out of order situations that arise.

The middle of the night phone call bearing shocking news. The Doctors report that is not good or a thousand other suddenly things.

How will we handle those? Is our Trust in our heavenly Father who Loves us with a Love that will never end going to sustain us as we lean on Him? Or are we going to fall apart and let our flesh take control and sink to despair!

I will share a few verses from the Bible that puts all this rambling I have done in perspective!

1 Peter 5:8 (KJV 1900)

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

The enemy of all that is good is looking for our weakest place in our lives!

Ephesians 6:10 (KJV 1900)

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

It is our Trust in and leaning on the Lord Jesus that makes us strong is all situations!

1 Peter 5:7 (KJV 1900)

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

We can give all our cares, fears, and situations large or small over to His Lordship!

Luke 1:37 (KJV 1900)

For with God nothing shall be impossible.

The truth is our God can handle anything, and we just need to believe and receive!

Father, I come in Jesus’ name and thank you for helping each of us recognize the weakest parts of our lives. Each of us have weak spots that you will help us with if we just ask! Help us let go and let you show us how to confront and conquer those weak places in our daily lives and we walk in Faith that with you all things are possible! Amen!
