“I BELIEVE!”

“I believe”!

What do we do when the people and the things we have prayed and believed for seem to never change and never happen!

“We keep on believing”!

We believe, not because of what we see but because of the promises made by the Creator of the Universe, Almighty God, maker of heaven and earth and giver of life!

We keep believing and calling the things we see not as though they are because we are viewing those things and those people with Spiritual Eyes!

2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV)
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

2 Corinthians 1:20 (MSG)
Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus. In him, this is what we preach and pray, the great Amen, God’s Yes and our Yes together, gloriously evident

The question we must then ask ourselves is, do we believe Gods word is truth or lies? Do we trust that He is on our side no matter the circumstances?

I have no clue why our prayers are not always answered when we feel like we are walking in Faith and Victory, but I know God is on our side and is fighting our battles and surrounding us with His love and care in the most difficult of situations!

I know that nothing can separate me from God’s Love and no matter what I see with my physical eyes, He is always working in the Spirits of myself, those I am praying for and is working all things for my good and His Glory!

Ephesians 1:19 (KJV)
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Do we really trust God in every circumstance that comes our way? Or does the situation cause us to look at the negative and not God’s promises? How do we stay in Faith when what we are seeing does not line up with the promises or how we interpret the promises?

2 Corinthians 4:13 (KJV)
We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

Do we speak what we believe or what we see with the natural eye? Paul tells us that we have the mind of Christ if we are a follower of Him. We have the provision to see with spiritual eyes, may we use it.

IN Mark 9, Jesus was beseeched by a father to heal his son who was demon possessed. In verses 23 and 24 is Jesus’ declaration and the father’s confession and request.

Mark 9:23-24 (KJV)
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

We have all been where that father was! We believe but need Jesus to help our unbelief! We sometimes just need to confess to the Father, in Jesus name that we are trying but seem unable to fully believe!

The scripture goes on to tell us that Jesus delivered and healed the young man. Jesus honors our honesty with Him and will help us to speak the word and receive it deeply into our spirit.

In the sharing of the ruler of the synagogue who came to request Jesus come and pray for his daughter we see the admonition to not be afraid. This was after word was brought to the ruler that a bad situation had turned worse. The child had died.

Mark 5:36 (KJV)
As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

So, what is the answer? How do we keep believing when we see the opposite happening, or find fear edging in?

Give up! Let Jesus take over! Release to His Lordship, in words and confessions of scripture, everything and every person and every circumstance and situation in our lives! Spend time in His presence and let His love fill you to overflowing! Speak out the promises in His Word!

Declare that: God is for us so who can be against us! No weapon formed against us will prosper. We cast all our care on Him for he cares for us! The battle is the Lord’s not ours! He is Faithful and will not withhold any good thing from us!

I could go on, but you get the picture. Speak His Words! They are powerful and the more you say them out loud the deeper the truths will be embedded deep in your Spirit!

God is on your side! Never let that truth go!

Lord, I believe, help my unbelief! Touch me with trust in you that says, I believe and release all things in my life to you knowing your will is best! Help me do my part to pray, declare the promises from you an know that whatever happens, we are all in your Loving Care! Thank you that I am Blessed and highly Favored of you, Father! In Jesus name I Come! Amen

Habakkuk 2:3 (KJV)
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Let’s look carefully at what this verse is telling us! The vision you have is for an appointed time. The appointed time is of course God’s plan but also your willingness to receive, believe, and step out in Faith and go forward with it!

I want to point to some instances of visions that have tarried for various reasons!

Moses was a Jewish baby who was rescued by Pharoah’s Daughter in Egypt when all the boy Jewish babies were being killed. His mother was called upon and paid to care for him! (Read the entire account in Exodus chapters 1-3)

When Moses had grown up, (being taught by his real mother), he saw how badly the Jews, his people, were treated. They were slaves and the Egyptians treated them awful. Moses felt the burden to help his people.

One day he went to where his people were being used as slaves and saw an Egyptian beating one of the Jews. When Moses thought no one was looking he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. On another day he saw two of his Jewish brothers arguing and confronted the one in the wrong only to be asked if he was going to kill him as he had killed the Egyptian. Busted!! He was found out!

Moses fled to Midian, married, and had children. The vison of helping his fellow Jews had died. He had taken things in his own hands and messed up totally. It was gone! To late!! Moses was approximately 80 Years old; it was over!

Then he was commissioned from a burning bush to deliver the Jews from Egypt’s bondage!

God brought the Jewish people from Egypt, led by Moses, and headed them toward the promised land!

Do you feel that way about your Vision today? Did you mess up? Did you decide to take things into your own hands? Do not despair! With God it is never too late! Wait for your burning bush encounter that is filled with the fulfillment of your promise. Though it tarry, wait for it, pray and trust in the one who is able! God’s not through with you yet!

As the Jewish nation was being led through the wilderness toward the land flowing with the good things that God had promised, Moses sent out 12 spies to search out the land of Canaan. Joshua and Caleb came back with the report that they were will able to take the land.

But the other 10 spies said there were giants in the land and though it was a good land, they could not take it. The people believed the ten spies and because of their unbelief the people wandered 40 years in the desert!

Joshua and Caleb probably felt that the dream was gone. Caleb had even picked out the mountain he wanted, but all was lost because of others unbelief.

But after 40 years, Joshua was the one who was chosen to lead the children of Israel into the land God had promised to them.

Maybe like Joshua and Caleb your vison or dream has been smashed by the unbelief of those around you! You believe and desire to move forward but those around you are stopping forward progress by their fear of giant problems! God will bring it to pass! Though it tarry, wait for it!

Scripture is filled with incident after incident of those with visons or dreams that had them crushed for a time and for reasons of their own mess ups, God’s timing, or other people’s actions or unbelief. But never forget that God’s calling is never rescinded!

Romans 11:29 (KJV)
For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Whatever has stood in the way of your dream and vision, know that when the timing is right and we are ready and obey, it will happen! Don’t let the past failures or delays cause you to give up what you know God placed within you!

Romans 8:25 (KJV)
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Between the Old and New testaments were 400 years but: Galatians 4:4 (KJV)
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

“Though it tarry, wait for it! Never give up, never despair, God’s not through with you yet!”

_________________________________________

Father, in Jesus’ name I come! Discouragement is a tool of the enemy of our Soul! May each person who reads this let the visions and dreams they called dead for whatever reason, live! Assure each of us deep in our innermost being that though it tarry, wait for it. In the waiting may we pray and ready ourselves for the doors and opportunities you will bring! May we praise you in the waiting! Amen

Grow in Him in the waiting! Love, Me-Maw

Colossians 2:10 (KJV)
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:

COMPLETE:

1having all necessary parts, elements,

2TOTALABSOLUTE

3complete renovation

4: Made complete by the inclusion of

Based on the definition of complete we should read Colossians 2:10 this way!

And we have all necessary parts, and elements in Him for a victorious life! We are absolutely whole and have had a complete renovation in Him because He is the head of all principalities, power, and has made us complete by including us in redemption!

We are complete not because of what we do but because of what we believe and who we trust!

1 John 4:9 (KJV)
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

1 John 4:15-16 (KJV)
15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

We are complete, not perfect, but with a heart turned and tuned to God and His Love that is shed abroad in our hearts!

We like completeness! We want a complete dress or shoes or a complete house or apartment or a complete car! We desire a complete meal and a complete glass of water or tea!

We desire complete respect from our children, and we want a complete book!

You see the picture! We do not want part of anything in the natural and yet settle for incompleteness in our Spiritual walk because we do not realize that whether we acknowledge and walk in it or not, we are complete in Him.

When we are believers, God only sees us as complete! The problem is we need to allow God to show us what He sees!

You have all heard “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder”!

I say that our completeness is in letting our eyes behold the lamb of God (Jesus) that takes away the sin of the world and behold ourselves complete in Him.

A complete item works well and functions as it was made to do! As we are complete in Him, we will function as we are supposed to without worry or striving but letting Him live through us!

It is really so simple but difficult! It is just a matter of trusting, receiving, and letting go! It is difficult because as humans created with a will of our own, we want to control and our humanity fights giving that control to another!

But oh, how awesome to walk with Him and Talk with Him and know that we are His and He has completed us! He gives us everything we need to Glorify Him as we are ultimately created to do!

Our lives become one of Praise and Honor to Him as we understand we are complete in Him and as long as we allow it, He will Lead, Guide, and Direct our lives. He will fill us with the Peace that passes understand and Joy that does not depend on outside circumstances!

We have a little plaque in our hall bathroom that says it all! I want to leave you with this thought!

“LET GO AND LET GOD!”

_________________________________________

Father in Jesus name I come with a grateful heart that I am in you and you in me! I can rest securely in the completeness you bring to my emotions, my spirit, my will, and my entire life and all that concerns it! I rest in you and in the power of your might! I decree and declare that all who read this will let go and give you control! This will result in completeness in every way! Amen

You are complete in Him!

ANTS!

Have you ever had a problem with ants?

About a week ago I walked in our kitchen early one morning and behold, there were little ants all over the counters around the sink.

I began to use wet paper towels to wipe them and the water flowing from the faucet to drown them. (I know, it sounds cruel)

After that when I went into the kitchen, I would see a few and get rid of those.

The next morning, I went through the same process and a third morning.

Meanwhile I called our exterminators, and they were sending someone, but it would be this week. Actually, this day. Meanwhile we kept fighting!

We got raid, sprayed and no more on the sink.

But alas, Sunday morning as we were preparing for church they appeared again in a different spot in the kitchen, coming from the top and coming down the wall.

They looked exactly like an army marching to battle!

Ronald sprayed that area with raid, and they did not come there anymore.

This day, the exterminator showed up and I do not think we will have any more problems.

I had told the ants the other morning that I was going to win this battle!

Why on earth am I talking about our ant problem? Because the Holy Spirit taught me some things through this that I want to share with you.

The devil who is the enemy of all that is good, is persistent just like those pesky ants. He does not come, most of the time, with huge temptations! He knows most Christians would not even consider doing some outrageous evil!

He comes with the petty things. He puts little things in our path and then more trivial things and more little things, just like there was multitudes of ants, there will come multitudes of irritations or compromises.

Just imagine if we had not dealt with the ants as they invade, they would have taken over our kitchen and everything in it.

If we do not deal with the little irritations or temptations in our lives, they will soon take over.

There are ways to deal with them.

Just as I did with the ants at first you can do it in your own power. Stand against them and think they are gone. But they return!

Second you can ask the Holy Spirit to help you and he will help just as the Raid stopped the ants. Then they reappear and we ask the Holy Spirit to help us again and he does.

The best and final answer to the irritations and temptations in our live is to turn it all over to the Lord God who made everything. Just as the exterminator has finally finished the job, we must release every problem, irritation, worry, and temptation in our lives to the Lord Jesus and He will handle them.

We cannot defeat even the small things in our life that comes against our walk in the Lord. We must let the Lord of Glory fight for us!

Until the total answer comes keep fighting the good fight of Faith!

Ephesians 6:12 (KJV)
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Deuteronomy 3:22 (KJV)
Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you.

Maybe today you have petty things in your life that you are trying to defeat yourself! May I encourage you to turn every small and large thing over to Jesus who is well able to handle every situation, circumstance, and problem in your life.

May we say to the enemy what I said to the ants, “I will defeat you,” but add onto it “through Jesus Christ”!

I know I took a little leeway with the ant comparison, but you get the picture!

We are victorious because Jesus is victorious! Turn it all over to Him!!!

_________________________________________________________

Father, I come in the name of Jesus! I thank you that you will fight our battles as we release them to your Lordship! We are not able, but you, Lord, are well able to fight every battle, large or small. How foolish we are to think we can do it on our own! My joy bubbles over when I consider that I am cared for and watched over by the creator of the universe! Thank you Lord God Almighty, that no weapon formed against anyone who reads this will prosper. The enemy is defeated, and we are victorious! Oh! What a Savior! Amen!

Let Him fight your battles! Amen!

“BEHOLD THE MAN!”

“BEHOLD THE MAN!”

John 19:5 (KJV)
Then came Jesus forth, wearing the crown of thorns, and the purple robe. And Pilate saith unto them, Behold the man!

Jesus had been beaten, scourged, mocked, and ridiculed. Pilate brought Him before the people and said: “BEHOLD THE MAN!”

My thought for you today is what do you see when you behold the man Jesus!

Do you see a beaten and seemingly defeated Christ who is not able to meet all of you needs, inside and out?

John 20:19 (KJV)
Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.

Or do you see the resurrected Savior who speaks peace in each of your situations, but like the disciples in the post resurrection appearance of Jesus, you doubt what you see?

How do you see Jesus?

Do you see Him as John saw Him on the Isle of Patmos; Glorified, Powerful, strong, and mighty. This Jesus is greater than any enemy or problem in our lives and can deliver and defeat with just His words. Words we cans speak in power!

Revelation 1:14-16 (KJV)
14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

Do you see Him as the one who forgives and cast your sins as far as the east is from the west and never condemns? Is He the one who you know Loves you fully and unconditionally?

John 8:11 (KJV)
She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

What do you see when you Behold the Man, Jesus?

Do you see Him with such a countenance, that He can say “Follow Me”, and people follow without delay?

Matthew 9:9 (KJV)
And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.

Do you see Him as the one who will never forsake you and is always with you and desires to fight your battles as we let go and let Him?

Hebrews 13:5-6 (KJV)
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Or do you see Him as all of these? Jesus, the one who suffered and died for our salvation! Jesus, who defeated, death, hell and the grave and came forth to speak Peace to each of our hearts and every situation in our lives! Jesus, the glorified and powerful, strong, and mighty force in our lives and the world! Jesus the one who forgives the deepest and darkest of sins and sets us free to live a different lifestyle in Him!

Jesus who with one look into those loving, powerful eyes, says to us “Follow Me” and we obey!

Jesus, who is always with us and fighting for us!

May I declare that He is all of these and more! He is our Shepherd, our Provider, our Joy, and our Guide!

He is more real than anything we can see with our natural eyes and yet we see Him all around us in a baby’s smile, a child’s laugh, a parent’s love, and the wisdom of age! We see Him in the flowers, trees, and all nature!

What do you see when you “BEHOLD THE MAN”!

________________________________________

Father, thank you that in the earthly appearance of Jesus we see your Love, Forgiveness, and Freedom, manifest! Help each of us to understand that because Jesus lives, we can live in victory and overcome all the weapons of evil! Oh! How I praise and honor the King of Kings and Savior of the World. May each one who reads this declare, “I will follow”. In Jesus Name I pray and declare He is all I need! Amen!

Live fully in Jesus! Love, MeMaw

Words: We all grew up hearing the saying:

“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.”

May I tell you that is a bigger lie than most of us comprehend!

Most all of us have heard teachings, sermons, and stories that help us to truly know that we need to speak positive words and not negative.

We have all heard how God created the Heavens and the Earth with words and we should speak positive things.

However, this morning may I take all we know about positive vs negative speaking a little further.

Have you ever heard the phrase “Word Curses”?

For a moment let’s change “Positive vs Negative” to “Curses vs Blessings”.

I am reading a book that is a true story of one who was deceived and strayed from God and her concept of “Word Curses,” prompted me to dig deeper into this truth.

There are so many scriptures on Blessings and Curses that we will just scratch the surface of this truth, but I want to guide your mind in the direction of how powerful our words are.

When we say something negative to another person, or about another person, or gossip about someone else the seed of a Word Curse has been sown. This seed can find soil already torn up with hurt and confusion and begin to grow into a major stronghold.

When we speak about or over someone things we see wrong or things we perceive that are negative/Word Curses we direct their lives and attitudes and they become what we are speaking.

When we or others speak Word Curses over us, we grab hold of those and begin to act like and become what they or ourselves are saying.

If you hear that you are ugly and will never amount to anything, your spirit will let that seed take root and no matter how beautiful and smart you are, you believe and act like you are ugly and you never try to amount to anything.

Now, again, this is deeper than negative and positive speaking. You are either speaking life or death to yourself and others and others are speaking life or death to you.

When you say or hear “Blessings/Positive” words, the same happens. The seed is planted and finds root and begins to grow. We or others then become what we believe about ourselves, through the words that give life or death.

Matthew 12:37 (KJV)
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

Matthew 12:36-37 (MSG)
36 Let me tell you something: Every one of these careless words is going to come back to haunt you. There will be a time of Reckoning. Words are powerful; take them seriously.
37 Words can be your salvation. Words can also be your damnation.”

Ecclesiastes 7:21-22 (KJV)
21 Also take no heed unto all words that are spoken; lest thou hear thy servant curse thee:
22 For oftentimes also thine own heart knoweth that thou thyself likewise hast cursed others.

Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV)
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Matthew 5:44 (KJV)
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

What do we do if we have spoken Word Curses about someone else, even in just a conversational way?  We begin to Bless that person, even if they wronged us. We begin to speak truth and the life of God for them into the atmosphere.

Speaking Blessings negates the curses.  Undo the damage by calling forth the person you know God wants them to be.  Let the forgiveness that the Savior gave you come forth in the Blessings you call forth into their life, body, and spirit.

What do we do when others have spoken Word Curses over or about us?  We begin to speak Blessings over our self. We begin calling out the person God created us to be.  We begin to call forth the truths that are in the Word of God for ourselves and our family. And that breaks the stronghold of the curses that may have been spoken over or about us.

James 3:10 (KJV)
Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

Please pray the prayer below with me and use it to form your own prayers of Blessing. This is a short version because there is so many Blessings you can declare over others.

Father God, I decree and declare that all who read this are strong, and healthy.  I decree and declare that each one of us are kind and show the love of God to all around us. I decree and declare that our minds are brilliant, and our spirits are filled with your love. I decree and declare that we are all making decisions that line up with your Word. I decree and declare we are all finding favor everywhere we go, and Blessings are chasing us and running us down. I decree and declare our minds, wills and emotions are lined up with the spirit of you the living God. I decree and declare every stronghold in our lives that does exalt itself against the knowledge of you is pulled down and cast into hell. I decree and declare this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

“THE LORDS SIDE”!

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 585

June 28, 2022///

“WHO IS ON THE LORD’S SIDE?”

I have never before seen our country divided as now!

Joshua in the bible was the one who led the Israelites into the promised land after Moses died. The Israelites like many of us today had their difficulties following the Lord.

When Joshua was one-hundred-ten years old and was about to die he gave this challenge to those whom he had led for many years.

Joshua 24:15 (KJV)
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: BUT AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE, WE WILL SERVE THE LORD.

If Joshua were addressing us today, he would say “Are you going to serve the God of those who came to America so they could serve God fully and be free from tyranny. Or will you serve the gods of self, evil, and anything goes! BUT AS FOR ME AND MY HOUSE WE WILL SERVE THE LORD”!

We hear a lot about the have’s vs the have nots. I want to discuss the believer’s vs the unbelievers!

I have lived quite a long time and have heard as far back as I can remember that there would come a day when the middle ground of “either way,” would be gone and the battle lines would be clear between good and evil.

May I say, we are in such a day!

Gone are the days of bible reading, prayer, and in many cases the pledge of allegiance to the United States before school begins!

Gone are the days of many public displays of celebration of the Birth or death of our Savior, Jesus Christ!

Gone are the days of widespread respect for our Pastors, Christians, and the office of leadership in our government.

We see corruption, sin and evil in every area of the world we live in. Our government is mistrusted more than ever. Evil has crept into our schools and yes even in our churches.

Our nation and the world are calling good, evil, and evil, good. We read a warning about this in the Old Testament prophets.

I believe in this chaotic time we are in there is no place for apathy or middle of the road thinking or living. We must decide who we will serve, and we must serve with all our heart!

Our answer to the question of who we will serve should be answered in sincerity as the people answered Joshua!

Joshua 24:24 (KJV)
And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey.

Each of us must settle this question and prepare through prayer and fellowship and study of the word, to stand strong in the Lord and in the Power of His might!

How do we serve the Lord fully in the present world we are in? How do we change the environment around us and influence others to come to Jesus, who Loves them more than they know?

Psalm 100:2-5 (KJV)
2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.

The Bible tells us that where sin abounds, grace does much more abound! I do not know about you but sometimes when I hear of all the evil going on, I just want to hibernate and wait on Jesus to come.

However, we are the light and our light shines in the darkness and the darkness must flee. How can we shine our light? Look at the things we are told in the Psalm above!

We do whatever we do with gladness and singing. We understand that God made us and understands us and will guide us! We enter with thanksgiving and go deeper with Him in praise! We are thankful for His provisions and presence and we Bless His name! We acknowledge that His mercy is everlasting, and His truth will endure!

When we follow this pattern, whether we feel like it or not, we will be empowered to walk in this world with boldness and the knowledge that truth and right will prevail! And our light will pierce the darkness!

“ARE YOU ON THE LORDS SIDE?”

____________________________________

Father, we fully give ourselves to you! We will be the light in the darkness, as we are empowered to be all you have called us to be. The world needs our light, may we be bold and courageous and show the Love of Jesus in all its life changing Power! In Jesus name I pray! Amen!

Serve Jesus and the Lord God Almighty. Love, MeMaw

“FEAR NOT!”

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 584

June 21, 2022///

What do you fear most? Think about that for a moment! What brings you great fear and causes you the most concern?

It could be the fear of your children being harmed in school or anywhere else. Is it the fear of a doctor’s report or the fear of getting the dreaded call that a loved one has been in an accident or has dies!

Does the fear of not being able to pay your bills, provide for your children or losing or not finding a job haunt you?

Some fear getting old and not being able to care for oneself or the dreaded old age memory diseases!

You have heard lately a lot of teaching on fear because we are living in a day ripe with the opportunity to fear!

I want to share some scriptures about fear and how to apply them. I believe we can never get too much encouragement from God’s word!

Hebrews 13:6 (KJV)
So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.

Your words are powerful! “BOLDLY SAY” aloud that the Lord is your helper! Repeat it over and over and let Him help you!

Luke 12:7 (KJV)
But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.

Do you really believe this? Understand how valuable you are to God and speak it out! Tell God that you know He will take care of you because you are His Beloved son or daughter!

Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Do we really believe God will do what He says? Do we believe God is good, or do we believe He might do it? We know He can but will He for us!

Psalm 118:6 (KJV)
The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?

These amazing scriptures show us that God is on our side! Why is it so hard to Trust that He will give us Peace that the world cannot give and will fight our battles?

I believe it is because we really do not comprehend how much we are Loved by our Creator! Our minds are tied to the Love of others that is much less than perfect.

1 John 4:18 (KJV)
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

The answer is in receiving and walking in the Perfect Love of Jesus! The above scripture shows us when we walk in fear, we have not completely understood the Love of the Father poured out through Jesus.

How I long to be filled with so much of God’s Love that fear never knocks on or ever gets entrance to my Spirit, Soul, and Body!

2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

We can know in our minds the truth that fear is not from God, but how do we get that truth deep in our spirits so we can walk in its truth daily!

Spending time in His presence in prayer and praise. As we learn to abide in His presence the truths of the powerful word of God will penetrate our earthly bodies and minds and fill us full of the understanding of who He is and who we are in Him!

As we are in His presence and repeating His words of having no fear back to Him a transformation will continue to take place.

The perfect Love that cast out fear will fill us until we overflow with confidence that He is who He says He is and will do what He says He will do!

We can then walk out 1 Peter 5:7!

1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

It is a process, but if you are prone to fear, begin to speak the Word which is Truth, and the Truth will set you free!

Fear and Faith cannot abide together! May we allow Faith to fill us, and fear will flee!

Father, thank you for your Love that cast out all fear. I ask you to fill each person who reads this with Faith that stamps out fear. Be real to each of us deep in the innermost part of us, our Spirit, and let the reality of who you are flow through our mind, will and emotions. You are God and You are real, and You give us peace and push fear all the way back to hell where it belongs. In Jesus name I pray! A-men!

Fear Not!

“THREE KEYS!”

The Spirit of the Lord was on Isaiah to Preach Good Tidings! He declared that the Lord God Almighty would give us Blessings and Joy!

Isaiah 61:3 (KJV)
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

He will give us BEAUTY, the OIL OF JOY and the GARMENT OF PRAISE in the midst of ashes, mourning and heaviness!

Psalm sixty-seven declares:

Psalm 67:5 (KJV)
Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

How can we wear a garment of praise when our hearts are heavy, how can we have Joy in the midst of mourning, how can we have ashes turned into beauty?

There are three keys: the word, prayer, and praise!

John 17:17 (KJV)
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Colossians 4:2 (KJV)
Continue in prayer and watch in the same with thanksgiving.

You who know me know I am a big believer in prayer. I want to share with you how the three keys above can be combined. The word, prayer, and praise can all be together as you come into the Lord God’s presence!

Let’s use the 23rd Psalm as an example. This is familiar to most who are reading this. Watch how you can change the wording just a bit to combine prayer and praise with the word!

This can be done with multitudes of scriptures with the provision of the Creator God within them.

Psalm 23:1-6 (KJV)
1 LORD, thank you that you are my shepherd; I shall not want for any good thing.
2 Thank you Lord God Almighty that you make me lie down in green pastures: you lead me beside the still waters.
3 You restore my soul: you lead me in the paths of righteousness for your name’s sake and I worship and adore you for that!
4 Oh, Lord God of the universe, I praise you that though I may walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.
5 You Lord, prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies: you anoint my head with
oil; my cup runs over.
6 Thank you Father, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in your house, LORD forever.  For this I Praise and Worship you Holy Name!

You get the picture! If you are not familiar with the 23rd Psalm, just open your Bible and compare it with the version above.

Take the promises of God from His word, combine them with praise as you pray the scripture back to the one whose promises they are. This is powerful because His Word is Truth, Praise is a weapon and the key to open abundant blessings and prayer is coming into God’s throne and communing with Him through Jesus and all He did on the cross!

The enemy of all that is good, satan, the devil, evil, would love to guide your prayer time to be powerless complaints and self-pity, or declarations of how bad the world is and a list of all our needs.

God desires to hear and meet your needs but we can combine them with praise in scripture that promises those needs are met!

What are you concerned about today? What miracle and intervention do you need? I encourage you to find the scripture that promises that need is met and pray it with praise!

I encourage you to pray Blessings and protection and guidance over your family by praying back to God His promise of blessings and salvation and protection and praise Him that it is true in your families lives by putting each of their names in the prayer!

Call people by name!

The Word, Prayer, and Praise!  Powerful Keys to Victory! May we use them!

Father, thank you that your promises are true! Your Word is powerful and amazing, and you hear use when we pray. Guide each of us as we apply your word to our specific situations and desires and dreams. May we understand that in Jesus is life and Jesus was the express image of your word in human flesh! Thank you that your grace is amazing, your mercy is free, and your blessings are abundant! In Jesus name I pray! Amen

“TRUST!”

Me-Maw Thoughts

June 7, 2022///

As I try to wrap my mind around all that is happening in our world in this day we are living in, I find my finite mind is not able to understand the things people do and the decisions they make.

In my lifetime of 77 almost 78 years I have seen major changes. Some of them good and some of the bad. But never have I seen the world in the grip of hate as it is now.

As I ponder this, I am drawn to the truth of God’s word concerning me and you!

Psalm 31:15 A (KJV)
15 My times are in thy hand:

Psalm 139:13-14 (KJV)
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

Jeremiah 29:11 (MSG)
I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.

I want us to think about this! God has our time in His hands! He has a plan for us, and He is able to bring it to pass! God is good and His plan is good for our lives as we let go and allow Him to guide us every day and in every way.

We are wonderfully made in His image, and He is still working on us to bring us into complete agreement with His plan for us!

Bad things happen to good people, and we cannot understand that. But God will take what the enemy means for bad and turn it around for good.

We have a choice to love and serve God in the good times only or serve Him and love Him in the good and bad times. As we pray and release each situation to Him, we must understand that we see through human perception.

God sees the whole picture. We must lean not unto our own understanding but lean on the truth that our times are in His hands, He created us and desires to guide us, lead us and protect us but we must allow Him to.

We must let go of the anger and frustration that circumstances and situations fill us with. Higher prices for everything in our lives, viruses that run rampant and people who have lost their mind.

Do we trust Him? Can we lean on Him? Oh, we so want to fix things, to make them right but the key to peace in the midst of chaos is to let go and let God!

The words to a Hymn that I grew up with is filling my soul this morning!

“TIS SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS,

JUST TO TAKE HIM AT HIS WORD,

JUST TO REST UPON HIS PROMISE,

JUST TO KNOW THUS SAITH THE LORD!”

“JESUS, JESUS, HOW I TRUST HIM,

HOW I’VE PROVED HIM O’ER AND O’ER!

JESUS, JESUS, PRECIOUS JESUS,

O FOR GRACE TO TRUST HIM MORE!”

This day will you join me in singing or saying the above verse and chorus, replacing Him with You! Let us sing it to Jesus telling how sweet it is to trust Him. The first lines would go “Tis so sweet to trust you Jesus, just to take you at your word”! You get the idea!

Let’s make the entire verse and chorus praise to Him. If you do not know the tune, make up your own tune!

I cannot lean on my own understanding! I do not understand the world we live in other than evil is rampant. But I trust the creator God and Jesus Christ my Savior and I can release myself and all those in my family and my life to His Lordship!

I can release myself to be the light that stamps out evil. No, we cannot shine light everywhere, but we can be salt and light where we are and to those we encounter!

My desire is to learn to walk in the truth of the song above, every hour of every day. I desire to trust Him completely and as I think about what complete trust could look like in my life; I ask you to examine your life. Can we fully and truly trust all to Him. May we make that our goal and He will help us!

________________________________

Lord, I trust you, help my doubt, Lord I believe, help my unbelief! I release my mind, will and emotions to your Lordship and lean not to my understanding but lean on your Love! I bring all my concerns and worries and place them in your able and willing hands! I also ask this for all who read this. In Jesus name I pray! Amen!

Trust! Love, MeMaw!
