I want to express my gratitude for a God who knows exactly what we need! If you have been a Christian for any length of time this is something you know and experience, but sometimes it just comes to you at a time when you are not expecting it!

This morning I got up and my whole body felt weak, weary and in a fog. I was walking into the kitchen to start a cup of coffee without thinking anything except thank you Lord that I am on my feet.

As I went to the desk in my home office where I have my time in prayer and in the word in the mornings, I decided instead of praying first, as I do most of the time, I would get some of the Word of God, the Bible in me. I know there is strength in the word.

I have several places in the Old and New Testaments that I read or better still let them read me. Some of the Old Testament is not the greatest read, but I do not want to skip any of it. As I looked at where I was in one place in the Old Testament, I took a breath and said “Lord, just show me something in here, I know no part of your word is without value.

I was reading in Ezekiel. Ezekiel was a prophet who spoke and did what the Lord told and showed Him, but a lot of what is in the book is judgement of Israel and Judah’s rebellion, and later judgement on their enemies and restoration of Israel and Judah!

As I went to where I was in the book, I have to admit I was just going to be on the lookout for a nugget in the writings. But God!

As I opened to Ezekiel 37, I was in such a fog that my mind did not register what I know is in Ezekiel 37. I looked at the little header on the chapter and I saw:

“The resurrection of dry bones!”

Joy filled me and I began to laugh out loud. I knew what truths I was about to read and the Joy of knowing that the Lord God almighty knew exactly what I needed at this moment overwhelmed me.

If you are not familiar with Ezekiel 37, I suggest you read the entire chapter. I will refer to some verses, but the point of this writing is that God knows when we need that special touch or word, and His word is powerful and alive, and so are the dreams, desires and life He has placed in us!

Ezekiel was transported in a vision to a valley filled with dry bones, representing the Israelites who had been taken into bondage.

Ezekiel 37:3 (KJV)
And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord GOD, thou knowest.

Let me tell you that there are some things in our life that only God knows what will happen, and He is able to do what He needs to do!

These were bones that had no flesh or skin, on them. Nothing left.

How many of us have life and dreams, and desires and visions that we have let go into a pile of bones. We call them dead!

Ezekiel did what God told him:

Ezekiel 37:4-6 (KJV)
4 Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the LORD.
5 Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:
6 And I will lay sinews upon you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and ye shall live; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

As we read on, we find that the bones came together, sinews, flesh, and skin came upon them. Then God had Ezekiel prophecy to the winds of the earth representing the life-giving Spirit of Him, the mighty God, to blow or breathe on those bodies and life came into them. The people rose up like a mighty army.

I say to you today that we need to prophesy to the things in our life that we think are hopeless! We need to declare wholeness and the breath of God over and in them. Whether it be in us or someone else we have the power and authority to speak life and breath in the name of Jesus and these dreams and desires happen, and people who are not walking with Jesus, change!

There are so many truths in this chapter, in both this vision and the second one recorded in this chapter, but because of time I cannot cover even a little of it.

I encourage you to read Ezekiel 37, asking God to make the truths in it, that you need to apply to your life, real! Then read with your spiritual eyes wide open!

“CELEBRATING!”

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 598

September 27, 2022///

Sunday we will be celebrating Joshua’s Place (the church we are part of) Twenty-Two-Year anniversary.

We celebrate birthdays, marriages, graduations, births, sports team wins, and many other various things.

May I say that heaven is glad when we are happy, gather with others, etc., but what heaven celebrates and the angels rejoice about is when one person comes to realize who Jesus is, and the price He paid for us on the cross, and receives it!

Jesus tells us about that rejoicing twice in one chapter of Luke!

Luke 15:7 (KJV)
I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth,

Luke 15:10 (KJV)
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

The wisdom book, Proverbs tells us over and over again that true wisdom comes from the Father, Creator God, Lord of all!

In Proverbs 11 we are told one way we show we are wise!

Proverbs 11:30 (KJV)
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

What just came to your mind when you read “He that is winning souls show you are wise”?

Did some of these thoughts immediately come to you:

  • I cannot go on a mission trip to wind souls!
  • I work every day and have a family to care for, how can I go to help at a homeless shelter or do street ministry!
  • I am shy and just cannot start telling people how bad they need Jesus!
  • I am a failure in that area because I do not want to make people mad!
  • My fellow workers or neighbors will think I am crazy if I start talking about hell and heaven, the devil vs Jesus!
  • I am not a preacher, nor do I have a voice to sing the gospel!
  • These thoughts can go on and on because the enemy of all that is good will supply them.

How did we get so wrong in our thinking about evangelism.

Yes, there are those called to preach, those called to sing, to go to the prisoner, or to the homeless or to the streets. Some are called to go around the world through mission and some are called to send those and pray for them.

But we are all called to share, and that puts fear in some who think of the recognized evangelistic outreaches as the ways to win souls.

We are influencing people daily with our lives. The way we live, love, and respond to situations shows a person who is depending on the world’s wisdom, the wisdom from God above.

We need to just walk every day in fellowship with the Father and being so full of love for Jesus that we shine for Him in our homes, our neighborhoods and our work or ministry places.

Love people! Began to be friendly and talk to them and live before them.

Read the story in John chapter four starting with verse one about Jesus and the women and the well. Also read in Luke chapter 10 starting at verse 30 about the one we call the good Samaritan!

Both of these give us examples of evangelism. Jesus began talking to the women at the well about water, which she knew about. She was there to draw from it. But he brought the conversation around to what she really needed. The good Samaritan shows us that just reaching out and caring is showing Jesus!

I want to stress to you that some are to go, some are to be, but all should be letting the Love of Jesus flow out from them. In each season of life our evangelism will look different!  We should not fret about it, nor think we have to check off our sharing endeavors on a list.

There is so much more to say on this, but I will just say that the main thing is that we have a living, loving relationship with Jesus and the rest will flow.

I encourage you to start everyday with asking the Father to help you walk that day with the Love of Jesus flowing through your mouth, hands, feet, attitude, and actions.  Then go forth with your day just Loving Jesus and others.

Father, help each of us to walk each day in the place we are, showing Love through our very being and caring. I pray this in Jesus’ name. Live through us, Love through us, touch through us! Amen

Love, MeMaw

What person or persons occupy our thoughts?

For most of us we think about the people we love the most! Our spouse, our children, our dad and mom, our grandchildren, friends and on down the line!

Have you ever considered what the God of the universe thinks about? Have you every asked yourself what is important enough for the God who created it all to have on His amazing and wonderful mind?

May I tell you it is you and I!!

Psalm 139:17 (KJV)
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!

Stop and think about this for a moment! You and I occupy a place in the Lord God Almighty’s thoughts.

I have a hard time comprehending that! What about you!

The one who Loves us and created us is also thinking good thoughts toward us!

Psalm 40:5 (KJV)
Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

I am just sitting here trying to wrap my finite human mind around the fact the God cares enough about me that He is thinking good thoughts toward me and has good plans for me! His thoughts toward me are more than can be numbered?

I am now asking myself, what is He thinking when He thinks of me?

Isaiah 55:8-9 (KJV)
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Go back and read that last scripture passage again. His thoughts and His ways cannot be explained or understood!

As much as we yield ourselves to the Holy Spirit, His thoughts and His ways are higher, better, and more wonderful than we can comprehend or imagine!

Our thoughts about those we Love are sometimes accompanied by tears because they may not understand our love or that God’s ways are better. Or maybe they are going through a really rough time and our heart is aching for them.

I believe God also weeps, just as God in the flesh, Jesus, wept over Jerusalem. When we decide we can run our life better than He can, he weeps. When we hurt, He weeps and sends the comforter, the Holy Spirit, to minister comforter.

He thinks of His children who are of a different country than earth and are marching to the truth instead of the lies of society and He Loves us and will guide us to victory in every situation if we will release our entire lives to Him!

Just as we find in ourselves or our children, we sometimes have to experience the result of our own way before we realize His way is always best!

I ask you what I asked myself earlier in this writing. What is God thinking about you!

Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV)
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

God is good! God does good all the time! When we cannot see His hand at work, we must trust His loving and caring nature. Trust the one who redeemed us and set us free from the bondage of sin.

His thoughts and ways are higher than ours and we just need to Trust and walk in Faith and Victory!

Let this truth sink deep into your Spirit; You are on God’s mind!!!

Father, in Jesus’ name I come! What is man that you are mindful of us? Who are we that we would be in your thoughts and on your mind? We cannot phantom that kind of Love and care, but we can receive it. I ask you to fill each of us with the security and truth that you Care and Love us, have out best at heart and will fight every battle. We surrender our lives, our cares, and our worries to you, Father, knowing you care for us! Amen

God is thinking of you! Love, MeMaw

“WHERE YOU GONNA GO!”

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 596

September 13, 2022//

Where you gonna go?

When the world seems cold and crazy and our leaders seem to have lost their minds, “Where you gonna go”!

When your personal life is falling apart and nothing is going right, “Where you gonna go?”

In John six the disciples were faced with that question!

John 6:67-69 (KJV)
67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68 Then Simon Peter answered him, LORD, TO WHOM SHALL WE GO? THOU HAST THE WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE.
69 AND WE BELIEVE AND ARE SURE THAT THOU ART THAT CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD.

Peters answer for all of the twelve should always be our answer. There is no place to run to! Are you going to run to your money, your success, the national and world leaders?

Are you going to run to the numbing of drugs, alcohol, excessive buying, fun, parties, or an open bedroom? “Where you gonna go”?

Are you going to lose yourself in exercise, outward beauty treatments, clothes, or work?

When you are in turmoil inside and your health is failing and your friends let you down and your spouse just walked out, “Where you gonna go”?

When you just buried your child or the person you have loved and been with for 60 years, “Where you gonna go”?

It is good to have friends to talk to about our situations. It is good to have Doctors to help our bodies to heal, and it is good to have family we can depend on! But none of these can fill that need of a connection deep inside to the one who created us and knows us better than we know ourselves!

Where can you get that emptiness filled, that despair turned into hope and that need turned into abundance? Go to the Rock Christ Jesus!

Psalm 61:2-3 (KJV)
2 From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3 For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.

“Where you gonna go?”

Psalm 94:22 (KJV)
But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.

Have you ever said something like, “No one understands what I am going through”, Or maybe you know something is not right in your body and no Doctor seems to be able to pinpoint the problem, or maybe you hurt so deep, or your dreams are so deep you cannot even voice them to others?

Have you ever felt no one cared for you or what you think? May I tell you there is one who knows, who cares and who can fill that need deep inside, guide you to the answers on the outside, and heal the hurts and loneliness, and bring the dreams and desires that are deep down to pass!

“Where you gonna go?”

Some lines from and old, old song are:

“Are you weary, are you heavy laden, tell it to Jesus, tell it to Jesus.                         Are you grieving over joys departed, tell it to Jesus alone!”

“Do the tears flow down your checks unbidden, tell it to Jesus, tell it to Jesus.”

It continues and then the Chorus says:

“Tell it to Jesus, tell it to Jesus, He is a friend that’s well known.                                     You have no other such a friend or brother, tell it to Jesus alone.”

He is always there, He is always listening, and He is always full of Love and compassion!

The last part of the answer Peter gave Jesus is the key to being able to fully Trust Him and cast all our cares on Him and tell Him everything. I repeat it here:

LORD, TO WHOM SHALL WE GO? THOU HAST THE WORDS OF ETERNAL LIFE.
69 AND WE BELIEVE AND ARE SURE THAT THOU ART THAT CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD.

Do we really believe Jesus is who He says He is? Do we believe He is the Christ the Son of the Living God? Do we lean on His everlasting arms and receive His Love?

That is the key! Know who Jesus is and tell Him all your cares, dreams, fears, and disappointments and He will lift you up and never put you down!

“Where you gonna go?”

“CHANGES!”

September 6, 2022

The weather changes, the political leaders change, hair styles change, clothing styles change, music changes and work and home lives change! Technology changes faster than we can keep up with it and our bodies change!

Today I turn seventy-eight years old. I have seen major changes in my lifetime! Some cause me to be amazed, and some cause me pray harder against evil abounding!

But the one thing that has never changed is the steady Love and security of the Lord God Almighty, creator of heaven and earth!

His Mercy, Grace, Provisions in every way and His evidence in our lives everyday never changes!

James 1:17 (KJV)
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

The sun rises and sets, and the seasons come and go but always He is there whether we recognize Him or not. If we trust and come to Him through Jesus Christ, we can walk in the assurance that we are never alone, and He will never leave us!

I trusted Jesus as my Savior at age nine and in the years since there have been hills, valley, griefs, tears, and sorrows. There have been good and bad times. There have been times when life was flowing great and times when everything was falling apart.

There have been mess-ups, blunders, and major mistakes that I wish I could erase, but through it all the Love of God sustained me and helped me, and I got through to the other side of the situation and had grown stronger in Him!

Hebrews 13:8 (KJV)
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

I realize every day, that we are strangers in a foreign land, and we are here to make a difference, but our real citizenship is in heaven worshiping the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

In Hebrews the 11th chapter, which is known as the hall of Faith, it is said of Abraham:

Hebrews 11:10 (KJV)
For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

But in this land that we are journeying for a short life span, we are never alone and are guided and protected as we allow the Lord God to have preeminence in our lives!

Hebrews 13:5 (KJV)
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

I am so thankful that I do not have to walk this road of life along. I have the presence of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit with me at all times. I can call on Him, Praise Him, rest in Him and cast all my care on Him, at any time of the night or day in any place I happen to be at that moment!

What an Assurance, what a Joy, to be able to lean on the everlasting arms of the one who created me and knows me better than I know myself!

The more years I am on the earth, the surer I am of the promises that:

Mark 10:27 (KJV)
And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Romans 8:28 (KJV)
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

John 14:27 (KJV)
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

I encourage you to walk in Faith and Victory and the assurance of who you are and whose you are!

Father, in the name of Jesus I come. I thank you for the Peace you give that even we may not understand, but we rest in it and let it overflow every area of our lives. I ask you to touch each person who reads this with the ability to allow you first place in their lives and walk in the assurance that you are always with them and ordering circumstances and situations for their good and your glory as we release these to you! Fill us with the understanding of your incredible Love that cannot be explained only felt! I praise and worship you! Amen!

Walk in Peace and Victory!

“ROOTS!”

Me-Maw Thoughts

August 30, 2022///

After surgery in the hospital, I received a beautiful container of Flowers! After I came home someone brought by another container and late last week, I received another.

They brightened my day, my hospital room and house and encouraged me and gave me joy! Each flower shown with vibrant color and the combination of colors showed the glories of Gods variety of beauty He created for us!

But alas, the first ones wilted, died, and had to be disposed of. The second ones are still surviving but are beginning to fade and will soon meet the same fate. The last ones are still looking great, but it is only a matter of time before they to will have to be destroyed.

On the other hand, we see flowers growing in flower gardens, on bushes, or in yards that though they may lose their vibrance through certain season will bloom when it is time and beautify the world around them. These live on year after year!

Why? Because they have roots planted deep in the soil where they draw life, season after season. They stand the test of time and even in a yard all grown up with weeds, thorns and bristles you may see a flower of beauty, created by the Lord God Almighty push up through the junk to shine.

As believers in the Lord Jesus our roots should be planted deep in the soil of our relationship with Him and be drawing the water of the life giving, refreshing word of God through those roots!

Psalm 1:1-3 (KJV)
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

When we delight and meditate on God’s Word, our roots grow deep and strong and we bring forth the fruit of the spirit that is within us and we bloom in our season, and we are blessed.

Through the good and the bad of life we stand strong because our roots are deep, steadfast, and sure and we are unmovable.

1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV)
Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

If our roots grow deep, we will not be moved by every negative thing around us. We will not look at the march of the enemy but will know who we believe in and Trust Him in every situation and stand firm in the power of His might!

Acts 20:24 (KJV)
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

However, if we are rootless and temporarily draw water from around us, we will soon fade and whither. We may be rejoicing on the outside, say all the right things and even bring joy to those around us. But this is temporary, and we sway with the situation in our life and are moved to despair when we observe the evil in this world!

Those whose roots do not grow deep are on the mountain top today and in the valley tomorrow. They show beauty in the lord and then are wilted and down!

A line in an old hymn says, “The things of this earth grow strangely dim, in the light of His Glory and Grace”!

When our roots are strong, we look at everything with an eternal perspective!

We must keep our roots strong in the Lord by not only reading the Word but letting the Word read us. Meditate on what it means in our life, our situation! We also need to keep our relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ vibrant and growing, and fellowship with other believers and be planted in the house of the Lord!

Psalm 92:12-13 (KJV)
12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
13 Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.

To truly make a difference in our world and those around us we must have roots that reach deep in the word and be planted in His house and live with an eternal perspective!

_______________________________________________________________

Father, in Jesus’ name I come and ask you to stir up within each of us the desire for our roots to grow deeper and deeper. Let us mediate on you and may our influence on those around us point them to the Cross of Calvary, where we were set free from the bondage of the enemy. May each of us open our spirits to receive truth! Amen!

Check your roots! Love, MeMaw

Psalm 40:7 (KJV)
Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,

Think with me about the times you may have been reading an early toddler a book or watched someone reading to them. There are some things that sweet boy or girl do that we can learn from.

As we begin to turn the pages and read, the toddler decides he/she wants to be in charge and turns to the next page. We get a few words out and there they go again turning the page before we are through with that page. The next page draws them.

May I tell you that God has written your story from the beginning of time. Your times are in His hand and His plan is so amazing we cannot imagine.

Jeremiah 1:5 (KJV)
Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Psalm 139:16 (KJV)
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

However, as He begins to unfold His plan in our lives, we decide to take charge!

What a picture! God is trying to guide us, and we decide we just want to move on and turn the next page. God is trying to teach us and train us, and we just want to move on to the next thing.

A toddler will also turn back pages, going in the opposite direction of the story and another thing they do is just decide to get down from our laps and go do something a little more interesting.

At some point they may come back and continue to control the turning of the pages!  We open our arms and hug them and continue to try to teach and train through reading the story!

How many times have we taken the page of our life God has us on, and we revert back to the past. You cannot go forward if you are looking back or turning back to yesterday’s pages.

Philippians 3:13 (KJV)
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before
,

We spend much time jumping from the Father’s loving arms, while He is showing us a picture of the next steps of our life, and just go do something that draws our attention elsewhere.

But may I tell you that when we come back to the Father, He will open His arms, lift us up and attempt again to guide us. Our detours from what His plan is for us does not change His ultimate plan and He will bring that page of our story and the next and the next in its timing when we give Him control!

As the toddler grows, he/she begin to understand that the story has a direction, and they listen enjoy and at some point, even began to read the story for themself.

1 Peter 2:2 (KJV)
As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

Wow, that is so packed with imagery! As we grow in the Lord, we begin to understand His love for us and His plan for our good and sit in His presence, listen, and learn!

2 Peter 3:18 (KJV)
But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

As we mature in the word and fellowship and obedience, we begin to see in our Spirits the story and plan for the next step or steps we are to take. We rest in the Lord and in the season or page of our story we are in!

May we understand His way is always so much better than our way and His yoke is easy and His burden light. We just need to walk with Him through the seasons and story of our life and understand it is never too late to get back on the right page!

I believe God uses children to teach us many lessons and I ask you to ponder what I have shared and rest in the season God has you in! Let go and let God!

Father, in Jesus’ name I come! I desire to walk out the story you have written for me! I give you complete control of my times and my seasons, and I rest in you and trust you with the pages of my life I cannot yet see! I Love you Jesus! Amen

As a lot of you know, I had surgery last Wednesday on a hiatal hernia that turned out to be giant sized. I returned home on Saturday and am adjusting to getting my digestive system working correctly.

I want to thank each of you who prayed for me and tell you that God was with me in and through everything. I appreciate your continued prayers for a speedy recovery and adjustment to foods.

Since my praise for the Lord God is overwhelming, I am going to share the words to a song that express how I feel. I am spilling out my most sincere Praise to the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and I desire to give Him my best and give Him my entire being!

Think about your life as you read this amazing event in the Bible!

BROKEN AND SPILLED OUT

VERSE ONE:

One day a plain village woman

Driven by love for her Lord

Recklessly poured out a valuable essence

Disregarding the scorn

And once it was broken and spilled out

A fragrance filled all the room

Like a pris’ner released from his shackles

Like a spirit set free from the tomb

CHORUS:

Broken and spilled out

Just for love of you Jesus

My most precious treasure

Lavished on Thee

Broken and spilled out

And poured at Your feet

In sweet abandon

Let me be spilled out

And used up for Thee

VERSE TWO:

Lord You were God’s precious treasure

His loved and His own perfect Son

Sent here to show me

The love of the Father

Just for love it was done

And though You were perfect and holy

You gave up Yourself willingly

You spared no expense for my pardon

You were used up and wasted for me

CHORUS: CHORUS FROM ABOVE

______________________

Father, in Jesus’ name I come! I bow my heart in adoration and worship and give you all my Praise! I lay at your feet my life and the abilities and talents you have place within me and ask you to use me to bring Glory and Honor to your name. I worship you Holy God and release all I am and am not to all you are! Amen!

Give it all to Jesus! Love, MeMaw

“I believe”!

What do we do when the people and the things we have prayed and believed for seem to never change and never happen!

“We keep on believing”!

We believe, not because of what we see but because of the promises made by the Creator of the Universe, Almighty God, maker of heaven and earth and giver of life!

We keep believing and calling the things we see not as though they are because we are viewing those things and those people with Spiritual Eyes!

2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV)
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

2 Corinthians 1:20 (MSG)
Whatever God has promised gets stamped with the Yes of Jesus. In him, this is what we preach and pray, the great Amen, God’s Yes and our Yes together, gloriously evident

The question we must then ask ourselves is, do we believe Gods word is truth or lies? Do we trust that He is on our side no matter the circumstances?

I have no clue why our prayers are not always answered when we feel like we are walking in Faith and Victory, but I know God is on our side and is fighting our battles and surrounding us with His love and care in the most difficult of situations!

I know that nothing can separate me from God’s Love and no matter what I see with my physical eyes, He is always working in the Spirits of myself, those I am praying for and is working all things for my good and His Glory!

Ephesians 1:19 (KJV)
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Do we really trust God in every circumstance that comes our way? Or does the situation cause us to look at the negative and not God’s promises? How do we stay in Faith when what we are seeing does not line up with the promises or how we interpret the promises?

2 Corinthians 4:13 (KJV)
We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

Do we speak what we believe or what we see with the natural eye? Paul tells us that we have the mind of Christ if we are a follower of Him. We have the provision to see with spiritual eyes, may we use it.

IN Mark 9, Jesus was beseeched by a father to heal his son who was demon possessed. In verses 23 and 24 is Jesus’ declaration and the father’s confession and request.

Mark 9:23-24 (KJV)
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.

We have all been where that father was! We believe but need Jesus to help our unbelief! We sometimes just need to confess to the Father, in Jesus name that we are trying but seem unable to fully believe!

The scripture goes on to tell us that Jesus delivered and healed the young man. Jesus honors our honesty with Him and will help us to speak the word and receive it deeply into our spirit.

In the sharing of the ruler of the synagogue who came to request Jesus come and pray for his daughter we see the admonition to not be afraid. This was after word was brought to the ruler that a bad situation had turned worse. The child had died.

Mark 5:36 (KJV)
As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.

So, what is the answer? How do we keep believing when we see the opposite happening, or find fear edging in?

Give up! Let Jesus take over! Release to His Lordship, in words and confessions of scripture, everything and every person and every circumstance and situation in our lives! Spend time in His presence and let His love fill you to overflowing! Speak out the promises in His Word!

Declare that: God is for us so who can be against us! No weapon formed against us will prosper. We cast all our care on Him for he cares for us! The battle is the Lord’s not ours! He is Faithful and will not withhold any good thing from us!

I could go on, but you get the picture. Speak His Words! They are powerful and the more you say them out loud the deeper the truths will be embedded deep in your Spirit!

God is on your side! Never let that truth go!

Habakkuk 2:3 (KJV)
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Let’s look carefully at what this verse is telling us! The vision you have is for an appointed time. The appointed time is of course God’s plan but also your willingness to receive, believe, and step out in Faith and go forward with it!

I want to point to some instances of visions that have tarried for various reasons!

Moses was a Jewish baby who was rescued by Pharoah’s Daughter in Egypt when all the boy Jewish babies were being killed. His mother was called upon and paid to care for him! (Read the entire account in Exodus chapters 1-3)

When Moses had grown up, (being taught by his real mother), he saw how badly the Jews, his people, were treated. They were slaves and the Egyptians treated them awful. Moses felt the burden to help his people.

One day he went to where his people were being used as slaves and saw an Egyptian beating one of the Jews. When Moses thought no one was looking he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. On another day he saw two of his Jewish brothers arguing and confronted the one in the wrong only to be asked if he was going to kill him as he had killed the Egyptian. Busted!! He was found out!

Moses fled to Midian, married, and had children. The vison of helping his fellow Jews had died. He had taken things in his own hands and messed up totally. It was gone! To late!! Moses was approximately 80 Years old; it was over!

Then he was commissioned from a burning bush to deliver the Jews from Egypt’s bondage!

God brought the Jewish people from Egypt, led by Moses, and headed them toward the promised land!

Do you feel that way about your Vision today? Did you mess up? Did you decide to take things into your own hands? Do not despair! With God it is never too late! Wait for your burning bush encounter that is filled with the fulfillment of your promise. Though it tarry, wait for it, pray and trust in the one who is able! God’s not through with you yet!

As the Jewish nation was being led through the wilderness toward the land flowing with the good things that God had promised, Moses sent out 12 spies to search out the land of Canaan. Joshua and Caleb came back with the report that they were will able to take the land.

But the other 10 spies said there were giants in the land and though it was a good land, they could not take it. The people believed the ten spies and because of their unbelief the people wandered 40 years in the desert!

Joshua and Caleb probably felt that the dream was gone. Caleb had even picked out the mountain he wanted, but all was lost because of others unbelief.

But after 40 years, Joshua was the one who was chosen to lead the children of Israel into the land God had promised to them.

Maybe like Joshua and Caleb your vison or dream has been smashed by the unbelief of those around you! You believe and desire to move forward but those around you are stopping forward progress by their fear of giant problems! God will bring it to pass! Though it tarry, wait for it!

Scripture is filled with incident after incident of those with visons or dreams that had them crushed for a time and for reasons of their own mess ups, God’s timing, or other people’s actions or unbelief. But never forget that God’s calling is never rescinded!

Romans 11:29 (KJV)
For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

Whatever has stood in the way of your dream and vision, know that when the timing is right and we are ready and obey, it will happen! Don’t let the past failures or delays cause you to give up what you know God placed within you!

Romans 8:25 (KJV)
But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Between the Old and New testaments were 400 years but: Galatians 4:4 (KJV)
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

“Though it tarry, wait for it! Never give up, never despair, God’s not through with you yet!”

Father, in Jesus’ name I come! Discouragement is a tool of the enemy of our Soul! May each person who reads this let the visions and dreams they called dead for whatever reason, live! Assure each of us deep in our innermost being that though it tarry, wait for it. In the waiting may we pray and ready ourselves for the doors and opportunities you will bring! May we praise you in the waiting! Amen

Grow in Him in the waiting! Love, Me-Maw
