LOVE VS HATE !!

Me-Maw Thoughts
Number 400
October 30, 2018//

First may I say thank you to all of you who take the time to read this each week. I pray that it is an encouragement and help along this journey called life. It is amazing to me that this is number 400!!!!!! I have shared 400 Me-Maw Thoughts. Wow, you probably know how I think by now. My hearts desire is that each of you walk in close fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

I know all of you are aware of all the hate that is spreading into every part of our country and our world. In our society we have embraced the idea that we cannot disagree without getting hateful, hurtful and even carry out vengeful acts.

Where does this evil come from? It comes from the devil, satan, the enemy of all that is good. (just as a side note: every time I type satan in a word document, the spell check alerts me that it should be capitalized. NO, WAY!! But we are doing that in our society. We are capitalizing evil.)

We know satan and all his forces are evil and bent on destruction. But the problem is that as a society we have forsaken the God this great country was founded on and we have embraced the lies that are destroying good.

But there are people, an army of believers, a group of God Loving, and devil hating Christians who are rising and wielding their weapons of the Power of the Living God, against evil.

This army is praying, sharing, spreading the Good News that Jesus has a better way. This army is dressed in the Armor of God and are more determined than ever to defeat the enemy of our souls and of all that is good.

The word gives us some powerful scriptures along this line. May I share some of these with you?

2 Corinthians 10:4 (KJV)
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

Ephesians 6:13-18 (KJV)
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

We are to fight evil with the weapons of the Spirit of the Living God. We are to go out each day, clothed with God’s armor, knowing, people are not our enemy, it is the forces of hell that use people as weapons of destruction.

When we are clothed with the armor of God, not only can we fight and defeat our enemies, but also the enemies of others.

Then Jesus gave the most powerful commandment to add to our armor!

John 15:17 (KJV)
These things I command you, that ye love one another.

I have shared this statement before: “Don’t curse the darkness, light a candle!”

Understand that Love is stronger than hate and Good is stronger than evil!

A little love cannot go along way to peace in the world we live in. With that in mind let’s look at an acrostic of the word LOVE!

L – Laugh/ with not at others. (we are all created by almighty God)
O – Overlook/ let go of hurtful or ugly things people say and do. (pray for them)
V – Visit/ reach out to others wherever you meet them. (just talk to others, be nice)
E – Encourage/ be one who roots people on to be their best, speak good things)

Just think with me of all the people you encounter in a week. What would happen if each born again Christian would take to heart this acrostic. We would see people relax and not take themselves so seriously. We would be communicating and encouraging and in doing so will see a change begin to take place all around us.

The other major thing we as Christians can do to change the atmosphere around us is to PRAY!

2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
___________________________________
Father forgive us for making idols out of so many things in our lives. Forgive us for not praying, loving and caring. Forgive us as a nation for rejecting the Lord God of our Fathers and all this nation was founded on. Hear our prayer and heal our land! Let our walk be one of Love and Compassion! In the name of Jesus, I pray! Amen!

CHRISTIAN

Me-Maw Thoughts
Number 399
October 23, 2018///

To be a Christian means to be Christ like, or Christ representative here on earth. The attributes of Jesus, of Love and Compassion, are supposed to be guiding our lives in a very real and tangible way.

What that means is that when people look at a Christian, they should see the same countenance and action that the people saw when Jesus was here in an earthly body.

Jesus tells us in the gospel of John that He always did the things that pleased the Father.

John 8:29 (KJV)
And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.

Looking at that raises the question I want us to think about this morning. As a Christian, do I always do the things that please the Father?

That, my readers, is a loaded question. We understand that Jesus came to ultimately die for the entire human race, but on the way to the Cross, Resurrection, and Assentation, He taught us how to live.

May we look at other scriptures:

John 5:30 (KJV)
I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.

John 5:19 (KJV)
Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

John 8:28 (KJV)
Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.

Jesus taught His disciples that he was going but another part of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, would be sent to dwell in them, and therefore in each of us who are born again. This Spirit of God dwells in us to guide us into all truth and in the way of righteousness.

This tells me if we will let the Spirit of the Living God have control of our entire mind, will, emotions, spirit and body, we will do only the things that please the Father.

John 12:50 (MSG)
And I know exactly what his command produces: real and eternal life. That’s all I have to say. What the Father told me, I tell you.”

Yes, I understand that we will not be perfect, thus may not always please the Father until we are taken to be with Jesus forever. But may I tell you that far too many times that is used as an excuse for letting the flesh rule our lives

How many of us have used the phrase: “well I am only human”? God has transformed you into a new creation and our goal should be to portray His will and His desires on the earth and in our lives.

We should not only be praying but be living this phrase:” Your Kingdom come, your will be done, ON EARTH as it is in heaven”!

What part of that do we not understand. The Father’s will is for us to bring Heaven to earth. When our flesh rules, this cannot happen. It is when we are directed by the Spirit of the Living Lord God Almighty in every area of our life that we will see some of Heaven begin to be manifest on this earth.

John 14:10 (KJV)
Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Jesus sends us to be a light in darkness just as the Father sent Him.

John 20:21 (KJV)
Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.

He will live in you and speak through you! God looks at the heart. When our heart is toward Him and our desire is to please Him in everything we say and do, he will help us in our weakness and even though we may stumble He will honor our faithfulness.

Matthew 10:20 (MSG)
the Spirit of your Father will supply the words.

_____________________
Father, when I am weak you are strong. When I am discouraged you are my encouragement. When I need direction, you are my guide. When I speak, you fill my mouth. Whatever I do you help me do all to your Glory. I decree and declare all who read this will begin to let your Spirit fill them and guide them and be all they need. I decree and declare it in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen

May the words of your mouth and the meditation of your heart be acceptable in His sight. Love, MeMaw

“FALLOW GROUND”

Me-Maw Thoughts
Number 398
October 16, 2018///

Many of you have heard the statement “Faith prepares for what it believes”.

Pastor Rick has been known to say, “If you are praying for a car, clean out your garage”.

The outside of our house is getting a badly needed paint job, and the precious guys working on it have had to pressure wash it. They have pulled off some old boards that needed to be replaced and replaced them. They have caulked and done all kinds of preparation for actual painting.

Years ago, I sewed a lot and there was measuring, cutting and marking before I ever put the material under the sewing machine needle.

The preparation makes the final product right. If there is no preparation, there is a sloppy job and in the case of sewing an unusable item.

We all know that farmers prepare the ground and soil before planting. The better the preparation, the more harvest they can expect.

This brings me to a scripture I want to share today.

Hosea 10:12 (KJV)
Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

Hosea 10:12 (AMP)
Sow for yourselves according to righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God); reap according to mercy and loving-kindness. Break up your uncultivated ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, to inquire for and of Him, and to require His favor, till He comes and teaches you righteousness and rains His righteous gift of salvation upon you.

Hosea 10:12 (MSG)
Sow righteousness, reap love. It’s time to till the ready earth, it’s time to dig in with GOD, Until he arrives with righteousness ripe for harvest.

Webster describes fallow as:
To plow, harrow, and break up, as land, without seeding, for the purpose of destroying weeds and insects.

Some commentaries tell us that Fallow Ground is slightly ploughed ground. Breaking up the Fallow Ground is to deeply furrow the land until it can be of use.

May we each look deep in our hearts today at the ground of our Spirit and ask God to show us clearly the weeds and insects of life that have invaded our ground.

May we each check how deep within us we have let the righteousness of Almighty God dig. Is our spirit slightly plowed and we are not ready for the seed of God’s word to penetrate every part of us?

Do we need to let the Power of Almighty God plow deep within us to root up all the weeds and insects and fit us with righteousness that is good ground for being God’s hand extended and bringing Heaven to Earth?

I submit to you today that if the people of God will allow the plow of the Holy Spirit to break up our slightly plowed ground and release all our junk and baggage to Him, we can see revival in our land.

What are the weeds and insects in our lives that the plow needs to go deep to rid us of? It is different for each of us but some of the major things may be:

Unforgiveness, bitterness, abuse, negative words that have taken root, fear, despair, gossip, religious spirit vs relationship, past wrong actions or choices. The list could go on and on, but the truth is that if we give the Holy Spirit the plow, and open our hearts to Him, He will be digging up the things we know and the things we may not even realize are keeping us from His Best!!

I challenge you today! Join me in a quest to let God have control of the plow, and release all that needs to go, and let the plowing begin.

Our lives and our world will be better for it!
___________________________________
Father, I release to you the plow that I may have been trying to control. Take hold of it and dig deep down in my Spirit and dig up and destroy everything that is not of you. May each person reading this allow your Lordship of all that may be buried deep within. Set us free, Lord God Almighty, from every stronghold of the enemy and everything that keep us from you best and being your hand extended. I ask this in the name of Jesus, the name above all names. Amen

Go with God and change your world!!

Unless you just like trouble, I am sure you are as tired of the fighting going on in politics as I am. The actions, words being spoken, and hate are almost beyond reason.

This brings me to remind you of the two commandments Jesus said were the greatest of all:

Matthew 22:37-39 (KJV)
37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
38 This is the first and great commandment.
39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Now as we look at this more closely may I remind you that it was Jesus Christ the Savior of the World who said this.

Maybe you are saying “Can loving and treating others the way Jesus would really change things?” I truly believe that is what the world needs.

However, what I see is that instead of showing the lost world the Love of Jesus there is much bickering, slander, discord and hurtful talk going on among those who call themselves children of the most high God.

When the Churches or the people even within each church cannot Love one Another despite their differences, what chance does the world have to show respect and care for each other.

The world is blinded to the truth, but the Christian is supposed to know the truth and the truth should set them free from such things that stir up jealous and envy and roots of bitterness.

May we take it further and look at our homes. How can we Love one another in our churches when our homes and families are places of discord and strife?

We should take great care to treat those closest to us as Jesus would. We should treat those in our house and our families as we would a respected and revered friend. I truly believe our spouses, children and those in our household should be the breeding ground for the Love that surpasses understanding.

As Love invades our homes it will then flow from us to our churches, then to our work environments and then on to the entire country.

We are the light and the only way the Love of Jesus will penetrate the darkness is through us.

May I make clear that I am not talking about agreeing with evil. Nor am I talking about being your children’s best friend and allowing them to do whatever they want.

No, a thousand times no. I am talking about speaking the truth in Love. I am talking about Loving despite wrongs and showing a better way. I am talking about showing others the Grace that God Almighty showed us.

I am not talking about burying your head in the sand and ignoring evil and wrong, but I am talking about having a heart that has spent time before the throne allowing the Holy Spirit to invade us with such Love that we look at others with compassion and even tears and help them.

Jesus condemned the religious leaders for judging and yet He did not ignore sin but had such Love and Compassion for the sinner, that the sinner was drawn to Him.

My desire is that todays Christian will spend the time it takes in the presences of Almighty God to be filled with the kind of Love and Compassion that will change the entire planet.

Love nailed Jesus to the Cross. May we understand that we are unique individuals created by the Lord God Almighty. May we understand we will not all think alike but if we Love the Lord God with all our Heart, Soul, and Mind we can change the world though Love.

May we understand that we are not perfect and therefore should not expect others to be perfect. May we not hesitate to say I’m sorry, even to our small children or teens when the situation calls for it. May we correct our children in Love and show them the way of Christ Jesus.

May we as the body of Christ vote and pray about our elections and things that will affect our Nation and State and Local regions.

Can we strive to be Love walking around in human form. I believe that Love can break down walls and barriers that have been erected from hurts, abuses and words of bitterness and destruction.

The person who is tough because they refuse to be hurt again is looking for real Love, the God kind of Love. May we be that Love and break down those walls.

Let Jesus Love through you!!!

Words: We all grew up hearing the saying:

“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.”

May I tell you that is a bigger lie than most of us comprehend!

Most all of us have heard teachings, sermons, and stories that help us to truly know that we need to speak positive words and not negative.

We have all heard how God created the Heavens and the Earth with words and we should speak positive things.

However, this morning may I take all we know about positive vs negative speaking a little further.

Have you ever heard the phrase “Word Curses”?

For a moment let’s change “Positive vs Negative” to “Curses vs Blessings”.

I am reading a book that is a true story of one who was deceived and strayed from God and her concept of “Word Curses’, prompted me to dig deeper into this truth.

There are so many scriptures on Blessings and Curses that we will just scratch the surface of this truth, but I want to guide your mind in the direction of how powerful our words are.

When we say something negative to another person, or about another person, or gossip about someone else the seed of a Word Curse has been sown. This seed can find soil already torn up with hurt and confusion and begin to grow into a major stronghold.

When we speak about or over someone things we see wrong or things we perceive that are negative/Word Curses we direct their lives and attitudes and they become what we are speaking.

When we or others speak Word Curses over us, we grab hold of those and begin to act like and become what they or ourselves are saying.

If you hear that you are ugly and will never amount to anything, your spirit will let that seed take root and not matter how beautiful and smart you are, you believe and act like you are ugly and you never try to amount to anything.

Now, again, this is deeper than negative and positive speaking. You are either speaking life or death to yourself and others and others are speaking life or death to you.

When you say or hear “Blessings/Positive” words, the same happens. The seed is planted and finds root and begins to grow. We or others then become what we believe about ourselves, through the words that give life or death.

Matthew 12:37 (KJV)
For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
Matthew 12:36-37 (MSG)
36 Let me tell you something: Every one of these careless words is going to come back to haunt you. There will be a time of Reckoning. Words are powerful; take them seriously.
37 Words can be your salvation. Words can also be your damnation.”

Ecclesiastes 7:21-22 (KJV)
21 Also take no heed unto all words that are spoken; lest thou hear thy servant curse thee:
22 For oftentimes also thine own heart knoweth that thou thyself likewise hast cursed others.

Deuteronomy 30:19 (KJV)
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Matthew 5:44 (KJV)
But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

What do we do if we have spoken Word Curses about someone else, even in just a conversational way? We begin to Bless that person, even if they wronged us. We begin to speak truth and the life of God for them into the atmosphere.

Speaking Blessings negates the curses. Undo the damage by calling forth the person you know God wants them to be. Let the forgiveness that the Savior gave you come forth in the Blessings you call forth into their life, body, and spirit.

What do we do when others have spoken Word Curses over or about us? We begin to speak Blessings over our self. We begin calling out the person God created us to be. We begin to call forth the truths that are in the Word of God for ourselves and our family. And that breaks the stronghold of the curses that may have been spoken over or about us.

James 3:10 (KJV)
Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

Please pray the prayer below with me and use it to form your own prayers of Blessing. This is a short version because there is so many Blessings you can declare over others.
_____________________
Father God, I decree and declare that all who read this are strong, and healthy. I decree and declare that each one of us are kind and show the love of God to all around us. I decree and declare that our minds are brilliant, and our spirits are filled with your love. I decree and declare that we are all making decisions that line up with your Word. I decree and declare we are all finding favor everywhere we go, and Blessings are chasing us and running us down. I decree and declare our minds, wills and emotions are lined up with the spirit of you the living God. I decree and declare every stronghold in our lives that does exalt itself against the knowledge of you is pulled down and cast into hell. I decree and declare this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

I call forth the Life of God and all he created you to be to manifest itself in your life!!

“HIS VOICE”

Me-Maw Thoughts
Number 395
September 25, 2018///

I want you to go with me this morning to the greatest nation on earth.

The land of IMAGINATION.

Let us picture a vacant lot in the middle of a group of middle-class houses and ten or twelve 8 to 10 years old’s playing a game of softball. They are totally into the game and are paying no attention to anything else.

Then through the air comes a voice calling from the front porch of one of the houses: Brettttttttttttt!. The game continues with excitement except for one young man; Brett!!

His head looks around, he waves to the others and takes off toward home. Why? Because he recognized his name and the voice that called it. It did not move the other boys and girls because it was not their name and it was not called out by a voice of the one they belonged to.

Let us now leave the land of Imagination and Travel to the time of the real and true resurrection of Jesus Christ.

We find in John 20: 11-16 the story of Mary Magdalene as she wept out side the empty tomb. Turning from the tomb she saw someone she did not recognize but thought was the gardener. She asked him to tell her if he knew where Jesus body was and then she heard it……….MARY!!!!

At that moment she realized who she supposed to the be the gardener was the Risen Christ. She knew His voice and she knew Him when He called her by name.

John 20:16 (KJV)
Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master.

Mary was looking and searching for a dead body and Jesus showed her the very alive Savior of the World. Mary was not expecting to see a living Jesus so did not even recognize Him. But she knew her name and she was looking for Him!

May I tell you that Jesus may not appear the way we think He is going to. May I tell you that we may be looking to see the unmoving Christ and He does not seem to be around. But may I shout to you that if you seek Him and Listen He will…

CALL YOUR NAME.

If you know Him and seek Him, you will recognize His Voice. If you have been changed from the inside out as Mary had, you will hear Him when He Speaks.

John 10:27-28 (KJV)
27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

We sometimes have such preconceived ideas of how Jesus will appear to us and how things in life or in worship or in church services should be. Let us understand that all we need to do is listen for that voice that speaks our name and tells us what to do.

Even though it came in an unexpected Blessing, Mary knew His voice and she obeyed His instruction.

John 20:17-18 (KJV)
17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken these things unto her.

Notice that Mary heard, she listened, she obeyed and spread the truth that Jesus Lives!!!!

Let us listen, Hear that awesome voice, obey, and spread the Truth that Jesus Lives and because He Lives we can Live Also!!

John 14:19 (KJV)
Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
_____________________________
Father God, thank you that I belong to you and I hear your voice. May each of us realize if we will listen you will speak. Thank you that you know each of our names and all that is going on in our lives and in our hearts. Guide us with your loving voice that we can know and recognize. Touch every person reading this with the desire to seek and to listen and to obey. In the name of the Savior of the world Jesus Christ I pray.

God Created: The Heavens and earth!

God spoke into being the cattle, animals, fish and all that we see in nature.

And then Genesis 2: 7 tells us:
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

May we take time to really look at that verse and all it means.

Mankind was formed by the hand of God. We were not spoken into existence like all other creatures or things of beauty all around us.

God took His hands and molded us into His likeness!

Genesis 1:27 (KJV)
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Then He breathed His breath into the image of Himself He formed!!!!

Pause!!! As the Bible sometimes tells us SELAH…..take a moment to think about that.

You are formed by the hand of the creator God, not by the words He used to create other things, but He got His hands dirty with dust and formed you!!! Made you in His image.

Have you ever wondered what God looked like? We are formed with His Hands to look like Him!! What a thought. God has eyes, ears, head, neck, arms, legs, etc.!

And then God knelt and put His mouth over the nose of the image of Himself He had created and breathed HIS breath into the image and the image became alive.

That thrills me beyond measure! I am the image of God and His breath is flowing through me!!!

Every time you breathe, I want you to think this phrase: “I am taking in the breath of almighty God!!

Sadly, Adam and Eve, the first Man and Woman, disobeyed God and although man’s body continued to function, and he continued to breath the lifegiving breath from God above, the Spirit that had been breathed into His innermost being lay dormant and as good as dead.

Then Jesus walks into this worlds mess and changes everything. His death, burial and resurrection bridged the gap to the Father that disobedience had brought.

Jesus was the bridge to bring the Spirit deep within us once again alive as it was breathed into us.

When we received for ourselves what Jesus paid for on the Cross. When we realize it is that relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ that makes us in right standing with the Father and brings true life alive in us, we become alive, truly alive.

When we are truly alive inside and living in this earth He Created, we are His representative to show the goodness of God to those around us.

Romans 12:2 (KJV)
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

The more we allow the renewing of our mind, the more we will become like the image we were created to be.

We must renew our minds with the truth of who we are. We must realize we were formed by the hand of the Creator and have His breath in us. We are special, we are loved, and we are cherished as the apple of the Creator God’s eyes.

Go forth and show the world a God who Loves them with an everlasting Love!
___________________________________________
Father God, Creator of all that is, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I thank you that you mankind was formed by your loving hands and brought alive by your very breath! May each of us understand we are special, and we have the power and ability to show all those around us your Love. Touch each of us deep in our innermost being with the touch that only you can give. Forgive us when we put down or talk negatively about your creation whether it is our self or someone else. Guide us as we endeavor to shine a light in this world darkened by evil. Amen

“THE FATHERS EYES!”

Me-Maw Thoughts
Number 393
September 11, 2018///

Among other things my sweet friends and family gave me for my seventy-fourth birthday last week, was a book written by Franklin Graham about seeing through his father Billy Graham’s eyes. I have not started reading the book yet, but the title prompted todays thoughts. The title of the book is “Through My Father’s Eye’s”.

Let’s think of the most devoted Father that you know. The love this father has for his children is nothing in comparison to the Love our Heavenly Father has for each of us. Regardless of the type of father (or not present) father you had growing up or have now, you are Loved with incredible Love by Father God!!

Have you ever watch a father’s face as he looks at a just born baby? The baby may be red and covered with stuff from the birth process. This child may even have a temporary misshapen head but through the new father’s eyes the baby is beautiful and perfect.

When we are born again by receiving Jesus Christ as our Savior, we may look much like a newborn. We may need cleaning up, time to shape up, and be taken care of but in our Father God’s eyes we are beautiful. He sees beyond all of that and Love’s us because we are His Child.

As a child grows the true earthly father loves every stage of the child’s life and each step they take toward being a mature human.

Just like that God not only Loves us no matter what stage of life we are in but sees amazing things in us.

Our Heavenly Fathers sees:

Beauty instead of bumps.
Clean instead of dirty.
Success instead of failure.
Smooth instead of pimply.
What we are created to be not what we are now.

What kind of earthly father would let a new baby and an older child on up into forever, just flounder all on their own with no one to help? One that had no love for that child.

Our Heavenly Father Loves us just as we are but Loves us too much to leave us that way. So, He keeps cleaning, and hugging, and meeting our needs in every way. He keeps drawing us to Himself and our Divine Destiny.

The enemy of all that is good, the devil, works in every way to distort our destiny and to pull us from the Father’s plans. The enemy of your soul is afraid, yes afraid, of you understanding who you are by seeing yourself through your Fathers Eyes.

Deception is his tool to keep you seeing the ugly and not who you were created to be. We must change our view and begin to see ourselves though our Father God’s eyes. Lies, discouragement and confusion: these are all tools to keep you from understanding how you look through the Father’s Eye’s.

Luke 22:31-32a (KJV)
31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not:

Jeremiah 31:3 (KJV)
The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

Zephaniah 3:17 (KJV)                                                                                                                                                                  The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.

How do you see yourself? How do you see others? May we choose to see through the eyes of the Creator of all that is, our Father God!!

I encourage you today to begin to listen to you innermost being and see yourself as God see’s you! In prayer command the blinders come down from your spiritual eyes and the stoppers from your spiritual ears so that you will hear what your Father is saying and see yourself and others as the Father sees!!!

STORMS!!

Me-Maw Thoughts

September 4, 2018///

As we were driving yesterday, I noticed the sky. In one place it was a beautiful blue with white fluffy clouds. Then there was a dark section ready to pour out rain, and past that another totally blue section with white clouds.

How like our lives that are. We can be walking through bright sunlit fields of white clouds of blessing and suddenly we are in a time of storm. Sometimes the storm is small and fast and sometimes it is severe and fast. Sometimes it is small and long and sometimes it is long and very, very hard.

But the storm passes!! I know of no where on the earth that it is storming all the time. There is a line of a gospel song that fits this so well.

It says: “keep me safe till the storm passes by”

Whether the storm is fast or long, mild or hard, as a child of almighty God we are assured that we are not alone and will come into a brighter day.

The word of the creator God tells us:

Isaiah 43:2 (KJV)
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Isaiah 43:2 (MSG)
When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you. When you’re in rough waters, you will not go down. When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end—

You see the secret to walking through the storms of whatever kind that come your way is this life, is to remember that Jesus has overcome the world. Jesus has conquered the situation you are faced with.

John 16:33 (KJV)
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

John 16:33 (MSG)
I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.”

The promise of Jesus Christ is peace wherever we are, at all times. This is only possible if we are abiding in Him and He in us, by truly giving over the reigns of our lives to Him.

Many of us love the Lord God Almighty and do our best to serve Him but have yet to learn to release every decision, every concern, every day and our entire way to Him.

Somehow, we have fallen into the worlds belief that we must do it! Yes, we Love God, but we must worry, fret and figure it out, without consulting and listening to the one who knows best and can see the whole picture.

There is a saying our pastor likes to use: “while we are trying to figure it out, God has already worked it out!”

When we are able to understand that God is for us so who can be against us, and that there is nothing to hard for Him and that He Loves us with an incredible Love, we can relax in Him and be at Peace.

As we commit each task or goal to His Lordship, He can fill us with peace because we know He has us in the palm of His hands.

Hebrews 13:5 (KJV)
Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

When Jesus walked in bodily form on this earth, He talked a lot about Peace, because Peace is a place of Power. There is no way to be powerful in this life when you are always fretful, worrying and stressed.

Let the Power of Peace guide you as you walk in this amazing life God has given you!

Begin to release each care and situation to His Lordship and your load will be light even in the middle of the darkest times.

John 14:27 (KJV)
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Father, I see so many in turmoil I want to thank you for the Pease that fills me and ask you to draw others to your Peace as it flows from me. Let each one who reads this understand who you really are and how much you really Love each of us. We don’t have to earn it or work for it! You just Love us and desire to give us Peace! I am so grateful that you walk with me and help me in every way! Amen

Let His Peace enfold you!

SHINE!!

August 28, 2018//

The other day I was sitting at our kitchen table, taking my blood pressure. I was directly in line with the kitchen window that is right above the sink.

The first thing I noticed was that the window needed cleaning. It had little spots in different places on it. I think most were on the outside.

The second thing I noticed was in the place on one of the panes where the sun was shining through, you could not see the dirty spots.

May I compare that today to our spiritual walk! We may have spots of things that are not clean or perfect, mostly on the outside. But if the light of the SON of GOD is showing through, those around us will not see the dirt but they will see Jesus Shining His Light of Love!!

Jesus said:
Matthew 5:14 (KJV)
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Matthew 5:16 (KJV)
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

We are to have the light of Jesus shining so brightly in our lives that it cannot be hid, it is just flowing through us for all to see.

We are to show that light by the way we live (good works), and that glorifies our Father in heaven.

So many of us let the imperfections and the dirt we have picked up from the world blot out the light of Jesus that will draw all men to Him.

John 12:32 (KJV)
And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

If we let the goodness and power and love of God shine through the dark places in our lives, people will see the one that can change them, set them free, and shine a light in their lives.

1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Peter declares that we show by our lives the one who called us out of the darkness of fear, condemnation and criticism into the light of Love: The Love that conquers all!

How then can we let the light of His Love show through us even though we may have dirt or grime on us? Jesus tells us it is by him abiding in us and us abiding in Him.

To abide means to dwell, to settle down, to put down roots if you will.

John 15:4 (KJV)
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

There is nothing in us that is good outside of releasing our lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the redemption He bought on the cross.

As that relationship to Him Grows through time, the word, and fellowship with other believers, the light begins to shine through us all the way to the outside and is so bright, that world only sees Jesus.

John 12:46 (KJV)
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

Abide in the Lord Jesus Christ and His goodness and light will overcome all the dirt and grime. We need to be in the world but not of it!!!

Father, may we realize that there is none good no not one. But you, Father God, and your Son Jesus Christ of Nazareth, found a way to provide a light that stamps out the darkness. May each person reading this abide in that light and that light abide in us and the darkness in the world will begin to dissipate in the glow of that light! Amen

Don’t curse the darkness, light a candle!
