Psalm 136:1-9 (KJV)
¹ O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
² O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.
³ O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.
⁴ To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever.
⁵ To him that by wisdom made the heavens: for his mercy endureth for ever.
⁶ To him that stretched out the earth above the waters: for his mercy endureth for ever.
⁷ To him that made great lights: for his mercy endureth for ever:
⁸ The sun to rule by day: for his mercy endureth for ever:
⁹ The moon and stars to rule by night: for his mercy endureth for ever.

¹ Thank GOD! He deserves your thanks. His love never quits.
² Thank the God of all gods, His love never quits.
³ Thank the Lord of all lords. His love never quits.
⁴ Thank the miracle-working God, His love never quits.
⁵ The God whose skill formed the cosmos, His love never quits.
⁶ The God who laid out earth on ocean foundations, His love never quits.
⁷ The God who filled the skies with light, His love never quits.
⁸ The sun to watch over the day, His love never quits.
⁹ Moon and stars as guardians of the night, His love never quits.

Mercy is Love and His Love endures or never quits.  This 136 Psalm goes on in the next 16 verses expressing the things God had done for Israel ending each verse with “His mercy or love never quits.”  The final verse says:

²⁶ Thank God, who did it all! His love never quits.

This morning as my heart overflows with thanks and gratefulness for who God is and all His Blessings I want to paraphrase the middle 16 verses with the things we should praise Him for ending each with “His Love Never Quits”.

¹⁰ The God who gave us a way to Him by Jesus death on the Cross, His love never quits.
¹¹ And rescued us from a life of destruction, His love never quits.
¹² Took our lives in his powerful hand, His love never quits.
¹³ Kept us from and in sickness and problems, His love never quits.
¹⁴ Led us into His perfect will, His love never quits.
¹⁵ Dumps all our mistakes and blunders in the sea of forgetfulness, His love never quits.
¹⁶ The God who Blessed us with family: both spiritual and physical, His love never quits.
¹⁷ Is Smashing the enemies’ kingdom right and left, His love never quits.
¹⁸ Gives us strength for each day, His love never quits.
¹⁹ Provides everything we need, His love never quits.
²⁰ Blesses us with Favor with all we meet, His love never quits.
²¹ Uses us to encourage others, His love never quits.
²² Heals the deepest hurts in us. His love never quits.
²³ Saves and keeps our children, His love never quits.
²⁴ He gives us Praise for heaviness, His love never quits.
²⁵ Takes care of each of us in time of need. His love never quits.

I end with:
²⁶ Thank God, who does it all! Nothing is too hard for Him! His love never quits.

Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, I come to you.  I am so amazed that your Love Never Quits. Your Mercy Endures forever.  I sit in your presence and bask in your Love and thank you that you know me best and love me most.  There is no pretense in our relationship. I receive all the good and all the Love you have for me.  I am the apple of your eye and you sing over me with unequaled Love and Care.  My Father, creator of the universe, my deep desire is for all who read this to have an amazing wonderful relationship with you.  I desire each person realize that in spite of what the enemy has done to try to destroy their lives, joy, and peace, you are there…..your Love endures…..you Love us in spite of us.  You created us and your eyes are always on us and when we allow it you are in control of our lives.  Amen
