“PRIORITIES”

MeMaw Thoughts
Number 426
May 21, 2019///

What is the most important thing in the world to you?

What do you spend the most time on?

What would you grieve most if it were gone?

Is it your job, your family, your relationships, your possessions?

We strive for things or possessions, sometimes to the neglect of the more important things.

Jesus said in Matthew:

Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

We all know what first means. Before anything else, before anyone else. First is the position in our life that the Lord God Almighty should have.

Right next to that is our relationship with our family.

And following that our relationships with others.

Making money and acquiring things should be way down the list of our priorities.

What do you Love?

Mark 12:30 (KJV)
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

And yet we may run out the door in the morning without giving God a thought and without praying and lifting our family and friends up to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Whether you have much or little money and possessions, many or few friends or acquaintances, they can take first place above the Lord God Almighty.

Luke 12:15 B (KJV)
for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.

If you think honestly you will agree that we spend our time, money and effort on those things we love!

May I say that the way the enemy gets us tripped up is in the necessity to have a place to live, food to eat and to take care of our families. How many times has someone excused their busy schedule with the statement “I want good things for my family”, or “I have to take care of things”?

May I ask you if we really believe Jesus meant what He said. Did He really mean if we seek Him FIRST, He will ADD all other THINGS???

As I convey what is in my heart this morning, I am convinced if we really believed what the WORD, THE LIVING WORD OF GOD says, our lives would look different.

Nothing would keep us from nurturing the relationship with the Lord Jesus and then the relationships with each other.

How many children have all the things money can buy but have no relationship with their parents? May I tell you, things will fade away but the time you pour into relationships, including the one with the Lord God Almighty, will last forever.

Yes, we must work and provide but what place does that take in our life? Where is our relationship to God and our family on our priority scale?

If we really walk in the confidence that God is who He says He is and His promises are true, we will seek His kingdom first knowing He will handle everything else.

LORD HELP OUR UNBELIEF!!!!!

Father, thank you for you word. I ask you to stir up within each of us the truth that the key to life is in “Seeking your kingdom First”. Your word is truth and I decree and declare that truth is made real deep in each of our spirits. You created us, you Love us, you will fight our battles and you will provide not only our needs but our desires when our heart is toward you and we make you the number one priority in our life. Thank you for the close relationship with you that Jesus provided. You are real and you are Loving and Kind. I am yours. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

Examine your priorities,

“SEEING!”

Among several things our son and his wife gave me for Mother’s Day was a cute covered mug. When I was opening gifts in front of the family, I was maybe like you are when people are all looking at you open gifts for various occasions.

I always feel like I must continue and not examine the gift as closely as I do later with no one looking at me. I promise myself each occasion that I will not do that next time but take the time to look carefully.

So, what I discovered when I examined the covered cup more closely is that it is a triple insulated cup that will keep things cold for 9 hours and hot for 3 hours. This cup is dishwasher safe and has a non-slip base and a shatterproof, spill resistant lid.

There is much, much more to this cup than a quick look revealed. I was looking but not seeing!

Why am I telling you about a covered cup? Because I received a couple of good life lessons from this that I want to share with you, so read on!!

FIRST: We are so prone to read the Word of Almighty God without really seeing the truth and instruction contained in the portion of scripture we read.

We say “that is a good scripture and it Blessed me”, but if we examine it more closely we will find it will set us free and pour strength into our Spirits and our Bodies and will instruct us in the way to live our life.

We will have light shined on things in our hearts and lives that we need to confess, quit doing, or let go of. We will find a deeper trust in the Lord God Almighty as we look closely at all His Word is saying.

Psalm 18:30 (KJV)
As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.

Proverbs 30:5 (KJV)
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

Romans 10:17 (KJV)
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

We must take the time to slow down and let the Word of God sink deep into our Spirits, so we see the deep truths!!

SECOND: We are so quick to look at others without really seeing them. We look, we speak, but we rarely take the time to see the unique individual that God created.

We don’t see really see. Every person we meet has disappointments, dreams, hurts, desires and confusion. We just see on the surface and go on by. Maybe this person needs someone to look deep into what they are going through and just listen.

We all have our agenda and we think we must stay on track. But may I tell you that there is much ministry and good in the interruptions of our life.

How much can we show the Love of the Lord Jesus if we just take the time to really see those whom we are blessed to cross paths with.

May I tell you that Jesus is so concerned about the one that we read in
Acts 8: 26 – 38 that Philip was instructed to leave a great revival that was going on and go to a divine encounter with one man who was seeking the answer to what he was reading in the scripture. This resulted in the man being saved and baptized.

God has divine encounters for us with people who need encouragement, prayer, love, a smile, a listening ear and the Word of God.

But we must be willing to really see people. We must be willing to allow the Love of God to flow through us to them.

Proverbs 16:24 (KJV)
Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

Colossians 3:12 (MSG)
So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline.

1 John 3:18 (MSG)
My dear children, let’s not just talk about love; let’s practice real love.

Will you join me in my determination to really see people and really hear what God’s Word is saying to me? Just like the cup, there is much more there than a quick look will reveal.

_____________________________________________

Father forgive me for all the times I read your Word but do not see! Forgive me for the people I see but do not really see! I ask you to touch my heart with the determination to see past the outward person and really see. Allow each of us to encourage and uplift each other by really seeing the great qualities each of us have. Allow each of us to be strong in your Love and Power by really seeing the Word of the Living God and letting it rise from the pages of the Bible and imbed deep in our Spirit. I ask this in the name of Jesus, the name above all names. Amen

“SPRING!”

Me-Maw Thoughts
Number 424
May 7, 2019///

Have you noticed all the green and blooms and life in the trees and plants all around?

The winter is gone (at least here in Georgia) and with the warmth comes new life into those yards, fields, flower and trees that looked like no life existed in them..

The beauty of green grass and flowers blooming always brings a smile to my face and joy to my heart. It reminds me that just as there is life in natural things even though we cannot always see it, there is also life in ourselves and all those around us even if it is hidden.

Just as fall and winter rob the trees of leaves and the flowers of their blooms, the harsh & hard situations of life may rob us of our smile and zest for life for a while.

But, may I tell you that as a child of Almighty God, victory is ours and we win. No matter what difficulty we may find ourself in at this moment, we are loved and cared for by the one who takes care of the birds and the flowers.

Matthew 6:26-28 (KJV)
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

Matthew 10:29 (KJV) Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

Today I want you to look at yourself and those around you and instead of seeing failure, sickness, hurt, confusion and despair, see success, health, forgiveness, joy and peace.

These things will come forth as we keep walking faithfully with the Lord God Almighty and understand that it is His presence, His ability, and His touch that brings life to those dead dreams, confused minds and sick bodies.

Jesus came that we might have life and life abundantly even in the turmoil of life.

Paul tells us that though we may not see it on the outside our inner man is renewed day by day, and that gives us life and life abundantly.

2 Corinthians 4:16 (KJV)
For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

Just as the flowers and trees show new life in the spring, the dreams and desires of our heart are still there and will spring forth at the right time and season as we put our trust in the one who created us and placed those dreams and desires within us.

The answer to every perplexing problem we face is in Him. We can trust Him to guide every decision and order every circumstances and situation for our good.

But satan, the enemy of all that is good, causes our situations to look so big and out of control that we fall into the mind set that things will never change. He always makes things look bigger and worse than they are.

Think with me a moment. Have you ever had a tooth that needed a filling and when you felt the place with your tongue it felt enormous, but in reality if you took a mirror and looked at it or the dentist looked at it, the hole was very small.

May I remind you that, just like the tooth, the enemy of your soul is a liar and will blow the difficult situations of your life out of proportion.

But our God, our amazing Creator of the Universe, knows us and Loves us and will handle every problem as we bring them to Him and Trust Him.

Genesis 18:14 (KJV)
Is anything too hard for the LORD?

The Lord, the Lord of host, will fight for us. We will trust, we will believe, and we win because He is Victorious!!!!!

Know that there is new life in every area of each of our lives.
_________________________________________________________________
Father, thank you that you care for the birds of the air and the flowers in the field and you care for me. I submit every care and concern of my life into your Loving hands and rest in the assurance that not only are you able, but you are faithful to watch over and care for us in all things. With you, Lord God Almighty, all things are possible. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I pray. Amen

Let the life of Jesus Christ flow through you.

“MORNING!”

Me-Maw Thoughts
Number 423
April 23, 2019///

Morning will come!!

It does not matter that it stormed all night or that you cried buckets of tears about some one or some situation in your life, morning will come.

Whether you live to see it or not, morning will come. Morning is as sure as the God we serve. It may come as a rainy day or a day filled with storms and disasters.

It may come as a day filled with sunshine and joy. It may come filled with grief or it may come with sickness and disease.

It may come with a new life born or a life that has ended here on earth to be continued in eternity.

However the night went, you can rest assured, morning will come.

Time: days, nights, seasons will come and go regardless of what happens.

The apostle Paul in the book of acts says:

Acts 20:24 (KJV)
But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

What moves you. Paul was saying that no matter what happened to him, his focus was on finishing his life with joy. Paul suffered much but was so focused on the call of God to spread the Love of Jesus, that none of these things moved him.

It would be great to be able to say that no hurts, sickness, situations, people move us. But honestly although I am trying to walk in that, I am moved by things that happen to respond in ways that are less than true trust in the one who loves me most.

Worry is one thing that we should never be moved to do. Anger at others and despair in situations are things that should never move us.

Although I feel I am keeping my eyes on the goal of fulfilling my destiny, I know I sometimes succumb to the humanity of life.

Maybe you are the same, but I have good news. Even when some things do move us, the Love and Care of the creator God never changes.

In Philippians this same Paul tells how he lets none of his failures move him:

Philippians 3:13-14 (KJV)
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Paul understood that perfection was impossible but forgetting all the failures, he was pressing on toward that destiny God had for him. He knew that no matter where he found himself, morning would always come. Jesus would never leave him, and God would send myriads of angels to minister to and through him, to fight for him and to guard him,

Do we understand that “If God is for us, who can be against us!”. We are on the winning side.

No matter how dark or stormy your night is right now keep holding to the hand of the one who gave His life for you. Understand the morning will come, both in the world and in your life.

The bottom line is in order to live life in the none of these things move me sphere, we must understand the Love of Father God and that we can truly trust His nature even when and where we cannot see His hand.

Then none of these things will move us and we will understand that the morning will surely come and with God on our side…. Joy Comes in the Morning!!

Father, what Love sent Jesus to the Cross. What a plan to redeem mankind and make communication with you possible. That is the kind of Love we can walk in and know that regardless of situations, morning will come, and we will overcome. Help each of us recognize the beauty in each day and in each phase of life and just let your Love and your care flow through us and out to others. Amen

I pray none of these things move us!!

“HE IS RISEN”

Me-Maw Thoughts
Number 422
April 16, 2019///

As I think about Easter, I like to call it resurrection day. It is the single most important day in the Christian Beliefs.

Paul said in 1 Corinthians:

1 Corinthians 15:14 (KJV)
And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.
1 Corinthians 15:14 (MSG)
And face it—if there’s no resurrection for Christ, everything we’ve told you is smoke and mirrors, and everything you’ve staked your life on is smoke and mirrors.

If the event we celebrate in our Churches this time each year is not real, then salvation is not real, and we have no hope.

You cannot leave the resurrection out of the equation. Jesus defeated the enemies of death, hell and the grave and came out victorious.

Because He is risen, we can walk in new life. We can walk with no fear of death because he calls it only a valley and shadow in the 23rd Psalm and promised to walk right there with us.

Because He is risen, we can walk each day with confidence that He is in control and if we just keep our hand in His we will never stumble.

Because He is risen, we know that as in tells us in Romans, He is making intercession to the Father God for every need and desire we have.

Romans 8:34 (KJV)
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Romans 8:34 (MSG)
Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us.

Because He is risen, we can know we need not fear what man can do to us, and we can know that all things are possible with the Lord God Almighty.

Because He is risen, we can do all things and we understand that He is doing a good work, in and through us.

Christ on the cross was beaten beyond recognition, taunted and ridiculed, and yet He chose to complete his destiny and because He did not choose the easy way and say forget it, we are free to live in victory and without condemnation.

There are those who say that Jesus was a good man and maybe even a Prophet and those people must deny the resurrection. But there are positive proofs of the resurrection of Jesus and historical records to prove it.

However, may I tell you that the proof we need that He is Risen indeed, lies in the change believing and receiving what He did makes in the human heart and lifestyle.

When we receive and accept the price Jesus Christ paid, God the Holy Spirit comes alive deep inside us and we understand what the new birth means.

Words cannot describe it but when it takes place you know it is real. It is at that moment you understand the truth in the words in an old hymn….

“You ask me how I know He lives! He lives, within my heart!”

What an amazing truth. You can argue the point of history and the old and new testaments in the Bible. You can argue that logic says it is not real. But the reason a true Christian will never be swayed from believing Christ died and rose again and is seated at the right hand of the Father making intercession is……………………………… He lives in our hearts!

May I encourage you today if you do not have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ that you pray and ask Him to forgive your doubt and to come in and dwell with you and be your very best friend.

May I encourage you today if Jesus is your Savior, that you understand how special and precious the time set aside (easter) to celebrate His resurrection is and even now begin to think on all He went through for you and all He defected for you.

He is loving you and taking care of you!!

The resurrection! Never forget all it means!

I say to you as the angel said: HE IS RISEN!!! HALLELUJAH!!!
______________________________________________
Father God, in Jesus name I come. I thank you for the plan of Salvation that frees us from guilt, shame and regrets. I thank you for the resurrection that gives us life and life abundantly and I Bless your Holy Name. May each person who reads this be freshly touched by you power and have a renewed sense of the victory in the resurrection! Amen

HE IS RISEN!

“THOUGHTS!”

Me-Maw Thoughts
Number 421
April 9, 2019///

Wake up with Jesus!!

What is the first thing that enters your mind when you wake up. When you are aware that a new day has dawned with bran new opportunities and challenges?

In addition to that, if you are like some of us more mature (not older) individuals who make trips to the bathroom all during the night, what crosses your mind during those times?

Very likely our day will follow those first thoughts! Sometimes we may begin to list in our mind the multitude of task that are expected of us or a situation that seems out of control, or a need that we just cannot seem to get met.

May I tell you that the more you think about the problems or situations, the larger they will grow in your mind.

As children of Almighty God, the Creator of the Universe, we have the promise of Peace that passes understanding but it starts with your thoughts.

The Bible, the guide book of life says:

Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Philippians 4:7 (KJV)
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:15 (KJV)
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

We cannot worry and have peace at the same time. We cannot fear and have peace at the same time. If we are to walk in the peace that Father God promised, we must understand who Jesus is and who we are.

We are the beloved children of the God who spoke all things into existence and who has declared that he will not only provide our needs but our desires when we seek Him and His ways.

Jesus declared that we can live life in peace regardless of the circumstances or situations when He informed us that He had overcome the world.

John 16:33 (KJV)
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

John 14:27 (KJV)
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Jesus is assuring us in these verses that there is nothing we face that He has not overcome for us and He will move mountains and send angels and order circumstances in everything we face.

But, do we truly believe that. Do our first thoughts in the morning or our thoughts throughout the night reflect the fact that we understand deep in our Spirit that Jesus really overcame the world.

Do our thoughts center on who He is and therefore who we are. He was victorious and we are victorious. But in order to walk in this peace out first thoughts should follow Paul’s instructions to the church at Philippi.

Philippians 4:8 (KJV)
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

The bottom line is, if you want the Peace of God to guide your day, your first thoughts should be of His Glory. Declare His Glory not only invades your life and your family’s life, but the whole earth. Think on the Love that sent Jesus to the cross and thank Him for that.

Thank Him for salvation and that you have another day to serve Him. Think about the positive things in your life and the people who you know are for you. Thank God that you are precious in His sight. Declare that with God all things are possible and with Him on our side, we can walk through our day with great Peace.

Choose Peace, choose Victory!!

________________________________________

Father, in Jesus name I come to you. Thank you for the Peace that you give that can fill us regardless of what is going on in our lives. Thank you for infusing us with the truth that you are for us and if you are for us who can be against us! Let us understand you are real, and you are powerful, and you will work thorough the natural and the supernatural to give us all good things. Amen

Walk in Peace! Love MeMaw

Dear Friend,

How are you? I just had to send a note to tell you how much I love you and care about you.

I saw you yesterday as you were talking with your friends. I waited all day, hoping you would want to talk with me alss. As evening drew near, I gave you a sweet sunset to close your day and a cool breeze to rest you—and I waited. You never came. Oh, yes, it hurts me—but I still love you because I am your friend.

I saw you fall asleep last night and longed to touch your brow, so I spilled moonlight upon your pillow and face. Again I waited, wanting to rush down so we could talk. I have so may gifts for you! You awakened late and rushed off to work. My tears were in the rain.

Today you looked so sad—so all alone. It makes my heart ache because I understand. My friends let Me down and hurt Me many times too, but I love you.

Oh, if you would only listen to Me, I love you! I try to tell you in the blue sky and in the quiet green grass. I whisper it in the leaves on the trees and breathe it in the colors of flowers. I shout it to you in the mountian streanns and give the birds love songs to sing. I clothe you with warm sunshine and perfume the air with nature scents. My love for you is deeper than the ocean and bigger than the biggest want or need in your head. Oh, if you only knew how much I want to walk and talk with you. We could spend an eternity together in heaven.

I know how hard it is on this earth. I really know! And I want to help you. I want you to meet My Father. He wants to help you, too. My Father is that way, you know.

Just call Me—ask Me—talk with Me! Oh, please don’t forget Me. I have so much to share with you!

All right, I won’t bother you any further. You are free to choose Me. It’s your decision. I have chosen you, and because of this I will wait—because I love you!

Your Friend,
Jesus

Jeremiah 31:3 (KJV)
The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

Jeremiah 31:3 (MSG)
GOD told them, “I’ve never quit loving you and never will. Expect love, love, and more love!

John 3:16 (KJV)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

John 3:16 (MSG)
“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.

My desire in sharing this letter that I came across years ago is to instill in you the knowledge that you are Loved, important and desired. Let Jesus be your very best friend!!

I pray this touched you with Love!!

“TEMPLES!”

Me-Maw Thoughts
Number 419
March 26, 2019///

There are many Temples in our world.

There are Buddhists, Taoist, Hindu, plus many other temples.

A couple of the definitions in the dictionary for Temple are:
 a building for religious practice
 a place devoted to a special purpose

Even though our Christian Evangelical Churches do not look like some of the temples mentioned above they are buildings devoted to worship the TRUE AND LIVING GOD!

We should be gathering with other believers to join our worship on a regular basis.

However, this morning I want to call your attention to a temple of a different kind:
YOU!

Let us look at what God’s Word says!!

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (KJV)
19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

When we receive Jesus as our personal Savior, the Spirit of the Living God is raised up within us and we are a Temple of the Creator God Almighty.

Our body should be devoted to lifting the Lord God Almighty in all we do!!

Our life should be one that portrays Love and devotion to the God of the Universe. All we do from large to small should reflect whose Temple we are.

Deep inside we should be full of the Joy and Peace that dwells in the temple of the Almighty!!

But may I tell you that sometimes our Temples become corrupted the same as those in the Bible. Like in the old testament when the enemies of God came into the Temple of God and destroyed and carried away the sacred things.

In the New Testament, the Temple was there but it was filled with rules, regulations and deception.

In the future the antichrist will occupy the Temple in Israel and declare He is the one! Then Jesus will appear in Victory and right our world.

Every evil thing that happened in the Temple is the result of God’s people allowing compromise and other god’s into their lives. They felt like they could worship Israel’s and the pagan god’s and their own desires and still be protected by the Creator God.

Whose Temple are you???

Who dwells in your body? Who is on the throne of your heart?

Have you allowed the gods of this world and the deceitfulness of the devil to help you think you can worship, money, fame, success, family, talents, abilities, etc. and continue to be a pure and holy place for the Lord God Almighty?

Just as the enemy destroyed the Temple or invaded the Temple of Israel because they forgot whose they were, the enemy wants to steal your Peace, Joy, Power, Love and so much more. The enemy wants to fill you with desires that are contrary to God’s better plan.

I have learned that satan, the enemy of all that is good is very patient when it comes to deceiving people. Little small things. As a Christian I am appalled at how inch by inch morality has taken a backseat in the United States of America that was founded on the principals of the Word of God.

A little here, a little there and all at once, we see evil destruction everywhere. It did not happen overnight. Patience from the enemy causes slow infiltration.

I admonish each of us today to guard our Temples. Guard our minds, actions and deeds!! Know the Bible and we will see the subtle tactics of the one who wants to destroy, steal and kill.

1 Peter 5:8 (KJV)
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Whose Temple are you!!!!

______________________________________________________________________________________

Father God, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and I thank you that your Holy Spirit dwells in those who trust you. Give us wisdom to keep these temples of our bodies whole and pure before you. Stir up within each of us to commit our minds, wills and emotions to your Lordship and the courage to let you rule in everything we do. May we understand Ordinary daily task become worship when we commit all to you. A-Men

Be a true temple of God!!

“LIGHT DISPELS EVIL”

March 19, 2019//

In light of the evil that is rampant in out world I felt that I should reprint an Me-Maws Thought from October 2017 just after the Las Vegas Nevada shooting. It is still true and still applies today.

Me-Maw Thoughts / Number 348 / October 3, 2017

As most of you are, this morning I’m thinking about the people in Las Vegas Nevada.

The enormity of this massacre is more than most of our minds can comprehend. However, for the Christian we know that as

Romans 5:20 (KJV) says in part:
But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

Romans 5:20 (MSG) says in part:
But sin didn’t, and doesn’t, have a chance in competition with the aggressive forgiveness we call grace. When it’s sin versus grace, grace wins hands down.

In the aftermath of this tragedy, there is emerging stories of hero’s standing strong in the middle of the action. People covering others, Law enforcement running into the area as others were fleeing, people transporting hurting to hospitals in their personal vehicles. On and on the stories go.

Then as the dawn came ordinary citizens began to give blood and do what they can to help. Organization such as the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association began sending their “Rapid Response Team of Chaplains” into the area to help the local churches pray and minister to the hurt and hurting.

Even as we saw evil acted out in the worse way, we saw the love of God and humanity come forth in a mighty wave.

As we all ponder what was going through this mans head that would do such a horrible act of violence, we all should also be asking ourselves what we can do!

As Christians we know we can and will pray for all of those involved and that is the major thing those of us that are not in the area can do.

But what about going forward, what actions can we take to spread love, not hate in a world filled with turmoil. I’m reminded of the scriptures that tell us what we are supposed to be in this world.

Matthew 5:14-16 (KJV)
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Light dispels darkness. Even a small light dispels darkness but the brighter the light the more darkness is dispelled.

We as children of the Creator God should determine that we will allow the Love of God to fill us up so that our light shines so bright the darkness of evil becomes less and less.

We who know the truth cannot walk in fear but in the Power of Almighty God and our influence can stop evil.

1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

May I encourage you today to pray and even weep for the victims of this senseless tragedy but do not despair and do not lose hope.

We have the answer: Jesus Christ! He can bring Love from Hate, triumph from tragedy, and calmness from chaos. Let us as God’s children demonstrate His Love.

May we declare what the Apostle Paul declared in Acts 20:24 and be moved without fear to show more Love and the Light of Jesus to the World.

Acts 20:24 (KJV)
24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

I leave you with this blessing:

Philemon 1:3 (KJV)
Grace to you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I come to you with a heart full of gratefulness that in the midst of sorrow we can walk in peace. I lift up to you today all those involved in the Las Vegas shooting. Those hurt, the families of those killed and those who were in the middle of it all need your comfort and your strength. I decree and declare in the name of Jesus that you are sending angels to comfort and cause them to encounter those who can give the hope from your word. The enemy slings his evil around but we can dispel evil with your light. Give us opportunities to lift you up as the light of the world. Amen
Show Love, Shine your Light, Dispel evil.

“IS IT POSSIBLE?”

Me-Maw Thoughts
Number 417
March 12, 2019///

Matthew 19:26 (KJV)
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Matthew 19:26 (MSG)
Jesus looked hard at them and said, “No chance at all if you think you can pull it off yourself. Every chance in the world if you trust God to do it.”

For some reason the part of this verse that says “WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE” has been my go-to verse this past week. In my praying every sentence or two I am declaring the fact that “With God all things are possible!”

Every time I declare this statement, I feel like I grasp it more and more. But I still have a long way to go.

What would it look like if we truly took hold of the fact that the CREATOR GOD LOVES US AND THAT THERE IS NOTHING HE CANNOT DO? He is the creator so if we need something that does not exist, He can just create it.

I know that I think I believe that but do I really? Does my action show trust in the Lord God Almighty or do I speak words of doubt and fear?

Do I say I don’t know……. (and finish it with whatever problem or situation I am facing) or do I say: Lord God Almighty, I know you Love me, and I Trust you to give me Wisdom, Understanding and Favor.

Isaiah teaches us that God said He creates things we speak.

Isaiah 57:19 A (KJV)
I create the fruit of the lips

In addition to what we are speaking, what to we feel deep down in our Spirit. Do we really know deep down that God will supply all our needs, that God will heal, and that God is Lord of All?

The word will build up our Faith, but we must allow it to penetrate our innermost being and speak out those things that we know in our Spirit.

We must also trust God enough to know He is working for our good, on our behalf when we do not see it happening. Do we trust Him to know best? Do we trust His nature even when we cannot see His hand?

Maybe you are like me and really think you Trust God and then when you do not see what you believe is God’s will coming to pass, you just start settling and deciding it will not happen!

Time is an earth way to measure things happening. We must understand that there is no time in heaven and God does not deal in hours, days and minutes. He sees my life and your life from beginning to the end and knows everything about us.

My thoughts this morning are about how to progress to a point of knowing that God Knows best and truly trusting that knowledge.

Will you join me on this quest to really walk in the knowledge that: “WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!”

Join me in repeating this in the first person every time you think about it: “WITH YOU GOD, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE IN MY LIFE AND THE LIVES AROUND ME!”

I believe that we can journey to a higher high and deeper depth with God when we really believe that “WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!”
