“CHANGE!”

November 11, 2025//

The weather here in Georgia, went from beautiful to freezing in less than 24 hours. The 75’s turned into 27’s and we had to deal with it!

Some saw it a little warmer and some colder. Some saw a little snow accumulation and some saw flurries and some saw neither of those.

But there was change for all of us! We dressed warmer as the winds made the windchill temperature fall dangerously low and some stayed inside as much as possible.

But change, we did!

Life is like the weather! Changes are a part of living. Some changes are good, and some are bad, but they all require a response to what we do.

Most of us do not swim in an outside pool in the winter. We do not wear heavy coats in the summer, and I could continue but I think you get the point!

In our daily life, we adjust our plans to accommodate the things that happen unexpectedly! We get a call about a loved one in the hospital or a sick friend needs us to run an errand or any number of things.

At various times we find ourselves in circumstances that alter the course of our future such as the death of a family member, a car accident or a doctor’s diagnosis!

What to do? We adjust just as we adjust to changing weather.

After the death of someone close we get into what many call a new normal realizing that things will never be the same as they were!

When our children are grown up with children of their own, we adjust. When we no longer can see well enough to sew, we adjust! When we cannot do our own yard work we adjust and pay someone to do it.

Changes in this life and in our surroundings and in this world are going to happen and sometimes it is hard to adjust to the changes!

But I have good news, there is something that has never changed and will never change and that is the Love of our creator God!

His desire for our good and His help if we reach out to Him is surer than anything we can see or touch!

James 1:17 (KJV) Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

When our foundation is built on the truth of God’s Love and Jesus Christ gift of salvation, we do not need to fear change!

When we are secure in who we are in Him, we can walk in His guidance and make the changes necessary in our lives without fear and worry and fretfulness!

Matthew 11:29 (KJV) Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

Matthew 11:30 (KJV) For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

We can rest in every change in our lives when we are walking with our Savior, the creator of the universe, and we can change with the peace of God in our hearts!

We have no fear for the one with whom all things are possible is with us and will guide us through every change in our lives. Good or bad, large, or small, He is with us and fills us with peace that the world cannot give nor understand!

Change comes! Find your security in our Creator God!

 ***********************************************

Father, thank you for the truth that we can trust in you, and we can navigate every change with the confidence that you will never leave us nor forsake us. You are our comfort, our strength, and our guide! You give us peace even in the middle of the storm! May each of us lean on you and let go of all worry and fear! Amen!

I want to share with you an article that I saved from years ago. Please read it to the end and you will agree the point it makes is priceless.

It leaves me wondering what we value!

__________________________________________

A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art.

When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son.

About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands.

He said, “Sir you don’t know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet stuck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you and your love for art.”

The young man held out the package. “I know this isn’t much. I’m not really a great artist, but I think your son would want you to have this.”

The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture.

“Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It’s a gift.”

The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home, he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected.

The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection.

On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel. “We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?”

There was silence.

Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, “We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one.”

But the auctioneer persisted. “Will somebody bid for this painting? Who will start bidding $100, $200?”

Another voice angrily. “We didn’t come to see this painting. We come to see the Van Gough’s, the Rembrandts. Get on with the real bids!”

But still the auctioneer continued. “The son! The son! Who’ll take the son?”

Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. “I’ll give $10 for the painting.” Being a poor man, it was all he could afford.

“We have $10, who will bid $20?”

“Give it to him for$10. Let’s see the masters.”

The crowd was becoming angry. They didn’t want the picture of the son.

They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections.

The auctioneer pounded the gavel. “Goins once, twice, SOLD for $10!”

A man sitting on the second row shouted, “Now let’s get on with the collection!”

The auctioneer laid down his gavel. “I’m sorry, the auction is over.”

“What about the paintings?”

“I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate, including the paintings. The man who took the son gets everything!”

God gave His son 2000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: “The Son, The Son, who’ll take the Son?”

Because you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything.

FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON THAT WHO SO EVER BELIEVETH SHALL HAVE LIFE…THAT’S LOVE!

***************************

Meditate on that for a while!

Thank you, Jesus, for your sacrifice for us. We choose you, the SON, and we are free indeed!

Love, MeMaw!

October 28, 2025///

Have you ever had a day that started off great and then began to unravel and you found yourself getting frustrated and upset?

This was that day! My quiet time with the Lord, in the word, and in prayer was amazing!

Then the thing that pushes my frustration button, computer issues, began!

If you have ever been in a frustrating situation, you understand when I say that one frustrating thing led to another. The peace and joy that was filling my heart was gone!

What to do? Leave the frustrating problem for a while and cast all that agitation on the Lord Jesus!

If the enemy of all that is good can keep us frustrated, then we are doing exactly what he wants. But when we stop, change our focus and get in the rhythm of God’s Grace we have defeated the enemy at his game of deception!

When we stop, drop to our knees (even if just inside), and turn our hearts to Jesus, we understand that whatever happens in the situation that has us so out of sorts is nothing in light of eternity!

When we begin to consider that we have a Heavenly Father with all Power and Glory, with whom nothing is impossible, our focus changes!

If we allow ourselves to realize we are formed and created for Loving God and others and bringing God’s kingdom to earth, the problem we are encountering loses its frustrating power!

The truth that we can ask the Father and He will fill us with wisdom and show us the way to continue to walk in Faith and Victory in every situation gives us the joy that the world cannot give!

It reminds me of a picture that was worth a thousand or more words that I showed once (maybe twice) when teaching.

A little Girl was holding on to a teddy bear and Jesus was kneeling in front of her and reaching out His hand. Behind Him was a huge teddy bear as big as a person!

When we release the problem and situations and even our possessions to Jesus, He gives back so much more! He blesses us exceedingly abundantly above all we ask or imagine!

But when we hold on to our frustrations and situations and possessions, we block the abundant wisdom and provisions He has for us!

Jesus was giving us a solid foundation for living when He declared:

1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Matthew 11:28 (KJV)Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Mark 10:27 (KJV) And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible.

Why do we doubt? Those scriptures are directions and promises to each of us and yet we struggle with the answers rather than come to Him!

Jesus came that we would have life and life abundantly and we live so below His plan that it is pitiful!

The God we serve is not limited in what He can do and when we live with an eternal perspective the things of the earth grow dim and hold no sway over us!

Join me in praising on this day of Victory, Power, Joy, and Peace as we defeat every plan of the enemy!

__________________________________________

Father, forgive us when we make you sad that we do not come to you immediately when frustrating situations show their ugly head! You are so full of Love for us, and you are our guide, our wisdom, our protector, and you have good and perfect gifts for us! We come and rest in you and the power of your might! Help us to live with an eternal focus! I ask in Jesus’ name! Amen!

“INFECTIONS!”

Me-Maw Thoughts

October 21, 2025///

Being the season of colds and flu, this is my subject for today!

When our sinuses are infected, and/or it moves to our chest or is just in our chest, we deal with (It’s gross but stay with me!) snot type stuff.

It gets in our nose and stuffs it up and gets coughed up from our chest and is just absolutely gross.

Not only that, but your body also feels heavy, and you just feel rotten!

You may know where I am going with this but let’s look at the spiritual comparison!

When we allow the cares of the world and the problems around us to build up in us and do not spend time in prayer and releasing them to Christ, they get in our spirit like an infection in our body and start producing spiritual snot and coughing and congestion that takes away our energy, our joy and our effectiveness for Jesus Christ.

We sometimes start taking over the counter medicine to help our physical infections but most of the time we end up having to get an antibiotic.

In our spiritual walk we sometimes try to get rid of the junk we have picked up from our walk in life with entertainment or rest which is not really rest because our spirits are restless and desire something else.

We can eat good food, exercise, go on trips, but until we spend time in the presence of the Creator God through prayer and reading the word, we cannot get rid of the snot that continues to build up and plague us!

Jesus came to give us Life and Life Abundantly and that includes keeping our hearts clean and pure and open to Him.

We cannot live in this world and not be affected by the things we encounter daily. So, we need time daily to be cleansed inside of the junk that we may have picked up.

The result of letting the things we pick up in the world remain will result in a bad attitude, anger, depression, blaming everything wrong on others, worry, speaking negatively about life or about others and we find no real satisfaction in the things we try as remedies.

We need to consider what we allow to cling to our mind, our will, and our emotions!

Praise and a positive attitude and freedom will rule in our hearts and lives when we realize and understand, real life, the good life, comes from His Presence.

In His presence there is peace, freedom, love, joy, and power! We need to pursue this and put it into action every day!

The old Hymn says, “Oh what peace we often forfeit, oh what needless pain we bear. All because we do not carry, everything to God in Prayer.”

Matthew 11:28 (KJV ) Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

1 Peter 5:7 (KJV) Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

Do we really believe that? If we do let us take action and come to Him!

Oh! How He Loves us! If we could only comprehend His unfailing, unconditional Love, how different our life would be!

Get rid of the spiritual snot and congestion build up! Breathe deeply and walk with the one who knows you best and loves you most!

_____________________________________

Father, forgive us when we forget who you are and who you are in us! Forgive us when we try to find relief from the stress of life in anything other than our relationship with you! May we each one who reads this lean on you and understanding you fight our battles and guide us into seeing with eternal values the things around us! Forgive us when we whine! In you we are more than conquerors! I ask it the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Amen!

“OUR LIVES!”

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 757

October 14, 2025///

Today is a special day in the lives of our family. Today my husband Ronald (or Ole Pop as some of you know him) celebrates eighty-six years on this earth!

I am eighty-one and at our awesome mature ages every day is a blessing from the God who made us and has seen every good, bad, or in-between day in our lives!

The changes we have seen have been phenomenal, but the bigger issue is what kind of effect we have had on others: good, bad, or none!

OOPS! That last one (none) does not count! Each person on this earth has an effect of some kind on others!

Ronald has made my life better and has affected our children and grandchildren and great grandchildren in good and positive ways.

When Jesus walked this earth, He affected everyone He met! As He called the 12 disciples, He had such a presence of the Holy Spirit on Him that all He had to say was “Come follow Me”!

Nicodemus came to Him by night wanting to know more but feared the other Jewish Leaders! Zacchaeus desired to see Him so much, he climbed a tree and the lady with the issue of blood knew He could heal her!

He angered the Religious Leaders and perplexed Pilot! He made kings tremble and Blessed the Children!

But you do not find Jesus anywhere that He was not having some kind of effect on those in His presence and beyond!

It is the same with us! Be it anger, love, kindness, desire for Jesus or desire to be a better you, we all affect others, every day of our lives in some way!

Our witness for good can change someone’s life! Do you not think the presence of blind Bartimaeus who became seeing Bartimaeus changed the lives around him?

When Jesus turned the tables of the money changers over in the temple court, I am sure it effected a lot of people! Some with anger and some with awe and some wanted to know this man who came in with such authority better!

My point is that every day of our lives we are affecting those around us and as Christians our goal should be to affect others for good and show them the Love of Jesus!

We have all heard others say or maybe have said it ourselves: “It is not going to hurt anyone but me”! Oh! How wrong that is! The word tells us we do nothing just to ourselves!

Romans 14:7 (KJV) For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.

We are responsible for how our life affects others!

Luke 6:45 (KJV) A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

The key then to affecting others for good is in the condition of our heart!

The only way our heart can really be good is if we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord! As we let Christ goodness guide us, we will show others His Love!

The enemy may be telling you today that no one cares what you do and/or there is no reason for you to be alive, but may I tell you that you are “CREATED ON PURPOSE AND FOR A PURPOSE”, and you affect others every day you live!

You are important! What you do is important! You can show others a better way to live!

May each of us realize we are not an island and live each day from an eternal perspective!

_____________________________________________

Father, thank you for the reminder to each of us today that it does matter what we do, and it does matter how we live, and we can show others your love and your way through our lives! Anoint each of us with the knowledge that you created us on purpose for a purpose! Amen!

“WISDOM!”

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 756

October 7, 2025///

Have you ever been frustrated and caught in a situation where you just did not have any idea what to do or which direction to go?

Every day of our lives we need wisdom as we make choices, we need understanding in various situations, and knowledge to complete our daily task.

What do you lean on to guide you in your daily walk?

Your education, on the job training, internet, facebook, friends, or thousands of other places? Your GPS may get you from one place to another, and a user’s manual may help you navigate a computer program.

Have you found yourself looking up something on the internet and finding several different directions or opinions! That can be frustrating but there is a better way!

Where do real wisdom, understanding and knowledge come from?

The Bible, God’s written word, gives us the answer!

James 1:5 (KJV) If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

James 3:17 (KJV) But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

Consider the past few days! Where have you turned to each day with the situations you face or even the normal daily task?

We have an unending source of wisdom that is just a whispered prayer away!

“Father what do I do? I need your guidance and wisdom to do this right or make the right choice (or whatever else you are facing). Give me the knowledge and understanding!”

Paul the apostle, writing to the Corinthian church, declared what the wisdom from other sources amount to:

1 Corinthians 3:19 (KJV) For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.

All the experience and book learning we have gained from this worlds culture, is nothing but foolishness in God’s sight! His wisdom and guidance give us real life and days of peace and joy deep inside!

Look back at James 3:17. The wisdom from God gives peace not turmoil, is gentle and kind to others and gives mercy to those around us.

What a difference our world would be if even just those who claim to be Christians walked in wisdom from above daily. The atmosphere all around us would begin to change because we have the understanding, knowledge, and wisdom that the world systems cannot give.

We get so caught up in what others think or what the world systems tell us is the way to go, we find ourselves walking with attitudes and actions that are not of God and do not spread His Love!

My prayer today for each of you is found in Ephesians 1:17!

Ephesians 1:17 (KJV) That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

______________________________________________

Father, in Jesus’ name I come! I decree and declare that each one who reads this understands how much you love them and how much you long to fill each of us with, the wisdom from you, with understanding, and with knowledge. We need your wisdom in this world system that has lost the truth that you are real, and you will help us love each other and walk in unity! May each of us walk in the truth of your will, your way, and your word! Amen!

Love, Memaw

We all see cars of different colors and shades. We see black and white, grays, and blues, reds, oranges, and on and on!

Yesterday, driving home from some work at church, we met a car coming in the opposite direction that was painted like I had never seen before.

One side of the car was black, and one side of the car was white. It was divided right down the middle.

The Holy Spirit quickened my heart that this is how good and evil are split in this world. There is a line between good and evil.

And I wonder which side are you on. Are you on the side of right or has your right been turned to gray where sometimes good is right and sometimes evil seems ok?

May I remind you there is a battle between good and evil. God our creator and Jesus our Savior gives good things and is always good. Satan and all the evil forces are behind the evil things, and it is truly is war!

Or maybe you are someone who believes all things are ok. Just do what you want to!

If you do not believe there are evil forces in our world you have not looked around nor kept up with the news that reports daily, not just murders but mass murders and injuries.

My admonishment to you to is the same as Joshua in the Bible told the Israelites.

Joshua 24:15 (KJV) And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

We can choose other things to surrender to but if we are wise, we will serve the Lord!

We as believers should march as a mighty army into the enemy’s territory and defeat evil. We are to know and use God’s word, the Bible, as the weapon of our warfare!

We are to surrender to our Lord and walk in Love and Compassion and stomp our hate and hurt!

Our children need a people to rise up and say: “Good and our God will prevail”.

When we think of surrender, we understand it means giving up our self and our selfish desires to something or someone else.

When we raise our hands in prayer or praise, we are demonstrating that we are surrendering our will to our Lords will. May I declare, His will is always better than ours!

Surrendering to our creator God means committing our lives to be ruled by another. His Spirit guides us, and His will is the goal. We should show the attitudes, words, thoughts, and actions that Jesus did.

All of us want peace and we want good things for our family and health, strength, success, and joy always, if it were possible.

We are all human and live amid frail humans and so this world is not perfect.

However, we can find peace and joy deep in our innermost being by surrendering our lives to The Lord Jesus Christ.

As He guides your days and your decisions you will find your attitude is one of Loving others and defeating evil with good.

I challenge you this week every time you read or hear or experience some evil happening, do something good in response. Make a call, give a smile, write a letter or card of show kindness to one who looks depressed.

May each of us who are on the side of right and good march forth with the determination to overcome evil with good.

Father, thank you that when we surrender to you and let you lead us daily, we can be part of the force of good and right. May we decide to serve you with all with are and all we do and get out of the gray areas of our life. Love through us, touch through us and speak through us. I ask it in Jesus’ name! Amen

The story I am going to share with you has an unknown author but a lesson that we can all use!

Put yourself in this situation!

_______________________________

“Wishing to encourage her young son’s progress on the piano, a mother took her boy to a Paderewski concert. After they were seated, the mother spotted a friend in the audience and walked down the aisle to greet her. Seizing the opportunity to explore the wonders of the concert hall, the little boy rose and eventually explored his way through a door marked NO ADMITTANCE.

When the house lights dimmed and the concert was about to begin, the mother returned to her seat and discovered that the child was missing. Suddenly, the curtains parted, and spotlights focused on the impressive Steinway on stage. In horror, the mother saw her little boy sitting at the keyboard, innocently picking out Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.

At that moment, the great piano master made his entrance, quickly moved to the piano, and whispered in the boy’s ear, Don’t quit. Keep playing. Then leaning over, Paderewski reached down with his left hand and began filling in a bass part.

Soon his right arm reached around to the other side of the child, and he added a running obbligato. Together, the old master and the young novice transformed a frightening situation into a wonderfully creative experience. The audience was mesmerized.”

___________________________________

May I look at a couple different ways we can look at this!

I was reading Romans 12 this morning, and Paul was writing about the gifts we are each given in our lives. Each of these are to encourage others and show our Saviors Love!

Just as the Piano Master took the opportunity to mentor a young boy by coming alongside him to help not to discouraging him, we can do the same to so many in our lives.

We can use the Love and abilities God has given us to save others from hurts and fears and turn what evil means for bad in their lives for good.

Instead of always telling those in our lives what they should do, we should be showing and exemplifying what they should do.

Who knows what would have happened if the Piano Master had acted with a request for him to leave. Maybe the young man would have been so embarrassed he would have given up piano completely.

Our actions have so much influence over each person we encounter! We must walk in the Love and Compassion of Jesus!

The second lesson in this story I want to share with you is looking at us in frightening situations.

Maybe we have passion for the talent and abilities, and ministry God has given us and find ourselves picking out our way, step by step just as this boy was picking out “Twinkle, Twinkle little star”, and others are watching, and the situation becomes a scary place.

Then Jesus is right there saying “DON’T STOP”! “KEEP DOING WHAT YOU CAN,” AND I WILL FILL IN THE REST”!

You are enough! You can do what God has placed you on earth to do!

It may be helping the youngest of us all or the oldest of us all do the simplest things. It may be feeding the hungry or praying for others or teaching, giving, smiling, speaking a word in season, or touching a child with your love and a “DON”T QUIT”!

I encourage you to read the 12th chapter of Romans and let the word encourage you in the things you can do, so we can all show the compassion and love of Jesus!

___________________________________________________

Father, you help us in our time of need and encourage us with your word and your presence. May each one who reads this determine to help and encourage others in the difficulties of life! We can affect others for good even when we may be struggling ourselves. Lead us to overcome evil with good everyday of our lives! In Jesus name I pray! Amen!

“CONFIDENCE!”

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 753

September 16, 2025///

I sometimes see on the television a commercial about a GMC Truck.

The lead to the commercial is “Confidence does not come from within.”

Oh, I want to scream at the TV that confidence is absolutely from within!

Our confidence or lack of it comes from the belief (wrong or right), deep within us about who we are!

Are we pretty, are we smart, can we do what we desire, are we loved, are we good enough?

Some of that comes from the way we were raised, and some comes from the environment we are in, and that what others say is important. All that affects who we are deep inside!

But about a week ago we saw confidence in who he was, in action as Charlie Kirk shared and listened and debated on a college campus. Charlie Kirk lived and shared with a confidence of who he was in Christ and who Christ was in him.

You see it is only in understanding who we are created to be and taking on the mantle the Heavenly Father places on us, can we walk in true confidence that comes from knowing the truth that sets us free to be all we are created to be!

Charlie Kirk had surrendered who he thought he was to who he knew he was in Christ Jesus. Jesus makes us new inside and invades us with peace and joy and the confidence that our next breath could be in the presence of Jesus.

How about you this morning? Do you have the confidence that your last breath here will take you right into the heaven, to the presence of our Savior and Creator God!

Yes, evil took Charlie Kirk’s life, but God will take that evil and turn it around for the Glory of the Father.

Maybe you are saying to yourself “I don’t understand how that could have happened?”

When we have the confidence Christ gives, we can trust God’s loving nature even when we cannot see His actions!

The word has much to say about confidence and I will share just a few. Read them slowly and let the truth get deep inside you!

Philippians 1:6 (KJV) Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Proverbs 3:26 (KJV) For the Lord shall be thy confidence, And shall keep thy foot from being taken.

Proverbs 3:26 (TPT) because God is your confidence in times of crisis, keeping your heart at rest in every situation.

Proverbs 14:26 (KJV) In the fear of the Lord is strong confidence: And his children shall have a place of refuge.

**This fear is reverence and honor!

Isaiah 30:15B (KJV)In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength:

Ephesians 3:12 (KJV) In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

Look at Proverbs 3:26 above, in the passion translation. What should our response be as we face a crisis like we have faced this last week?

WALKING AT REST IN OUR HEARTS BECAUSE GOD IS OUR CONFIDENCE!

The confidence God gives cannot be defeat by evil!

The Apostle Paul said it well:

2 Corinthians 4:8 (KJV) We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;

Why? Because our confidence is in Jesus Christ our Lord!

In what or in who is your confidence?

_________________________________

Father, when we see evil, our hearts are moved with compassion for those who are affected. But we also, as your children, must consider why hate was in the heart of the one who carries out evil attacks. Our world needs to hear about the love of Jesus! Help each of us to walk in the confidence you give us. That is the confidence that will change the world for good! Thank you for the confidence you give! I ask in the precious name of Jesus! Amen!

I have news for you!

The good news is that the bad news is wrong.

God is real, Jesus did pay the price and was raised from the dead. And when we receive that truth, we have new life/the real life in Him.

The earth is the Lords, and life is short, and eternity is long and our Faith in God or Lack of it determines our destiny.

There are still those who live their Christianity and show their love for God by their compassion and love for others.

There are churches who teach and preach the truth and choose good over evil.

We know there are still parents who teach their children the Bible and show by example how to live the best life by living for the savior.

Each of us know those who believe it is important to gather with other believers on Sundays to focus our attention on the God who loves us like no other.

Yes, evil may be abounding, but the Bible says, where sin(evil) abounds, Grace abounds more.

ROMANS 5:20 (KJV) BUT WHERE SIN ABOUNDED, GRACE DID MUCH MORE ABOUND:

Most of us have heard the phrase “Jesus said, I believe it, and that settles it!”

I am here to tell you that “JESUS SAID IT AND THAT SETTLES IT,” WHETHER WE BELIEVE IT OR NOT!

Our belief or unbelief does not change truth. We can believe our car will crank but if it is out of gas our belief is wrong.

We may believe we can jump off a building and fly, but the truth is gravity will pull you smashing to the ground.

We can believe our goals are right and will give us true joy and lasting happiness, but if we leave Jesus out of the equation, we will see it is a lie.

My question to you this morning is: “WHAT ARE YOU BASING YOUR BELIEFS ON?”

The culture we live in for the most part, promotes lies, but God’s word is truth, and the truth sets you free to be all God created you to be.

I challenge you to read the Bible, God’s written word, which shows us truth and shows us Jesus and shows us the way to live.

If you are not familiar with the Bible start in John in the New Testament. Psalms is also a good place to read.

Open your heart as you read and the truths will be evident to you!

I desire for each person I know or meet to know the truth. The truth gives you the Joy, Peace, and life that our culture and it’s thinking cannot give!

Let God’s Truth set you free. Even as Christians we sometimes get caught up in the pull of the society we are in.

We can live real life in Jesus as we walk in His Truth!

“WHAT ARE YOUR BELIEFS BASED ON???”

Father, thank you for your word. Your word is truth, and the truth frees us from the lies of the enemy. The truth is we are enough in you and can do all things through you. The truth is you Love us like no other and will guide us every day! Help each of us to find truth in you and your word. I decree this in Jesus’ name! Amen!

Love, MeMaw!
