“FAMILIAR”

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 744

July 15, 2025

The word that is on my mind this morning is familiar!

Most of us like at least some familiar things in our lives and some of us want the familiar the majority of the time.

We may like adventure periodically, but the familiar is where we want to dwell!

One of the definitions in Websters dictionary for familiar is, “Being free and easy”!

As I told you last week, we are not in our house right now because it is being repaired from storm damage and I Praise God they are almost through! It took them a long time to start but they have worked like crazy since starting!

A week ago, when we were first in the place where we are staying, everything was different! Things could not be placed in the most convenient ways.

Shower and even water pressure was different! It took longer to get dressed, etc. than at our house where we had things arranged a certain way and they and the process of doing everything was FAMILIAR!

The close quarters make even Prayer and Bible reading different than where I have what I need for my time in the word around me!

What I have noticed is that as the week went on things became more FAMILIAR!

Each day it seems a little easier to do the things needed. The items needed in the bathroom are arranged in a usable way and just the routine of getting dressed and everything else is quicker and easier because it is convenient!

I began to think about how we get familiar with things that are not honoring God or making us a better person in the same way. The unfamiliar becomes normal the more we do it.

Jesus tells us in His word to not conform to this world. In other words, do not become familiar in this world’s ways and live in the way the systems of this world dictate!

To change our thinking and our actions may be unfamiliar at first but as we continue to make decisions that Glorify God our creator, they will become as familiar as our next breath!

The more we pray and commit everything to the one who is able to do all things, it just becomes the cornerstone of our lives!

The more we are reading the Bible and letting the Bible read us, it takes root in our hearts and becomes as familiar as our next words!

The more we make sure we are in Church on Sunday with an open heart ready to receive strength and power from our Heavenly Father and fellowship with others, we will not miss if possible and find strength for this journey of life!

When we walk with others in mind and let a kind spirit flow through all we do, that just becomes who we are! Love and kindness begin to flow automatically from us!

I encourage you today to examine those things that are familiar to you and ask God to help you change the familiar things in your life that do not honor Him!

Change is not easy, it is easier to continue in the familiar things and not examine how we are living each day or why we do things.

We only have one life to live, let us live it for Jesus and allow Him to lead us into the unfamiliar territory of His plan for us!

Comfortable! Familiar! Free and Easy!

We all prefer that! The religious leaders of Jesus Day did not want to change and receive the Messiah, Jesus Christ, and the better way He offered! They were comfortable in their familiar ways and rules!

May we get out of the familiar and walk into the awesome plan our Creator God has for us!

What is deep in your heart to do but is out of the familiar? Blessings await when we say, “Yes I will”!

__________________________________________

Father, in Jesus’ name I ask you to guide each of us as we examine our lives. Show us the familiar things that are not part of your plan for us. Give each of us courage to take your hand and step out of the familiarity into the Blessings and Joy that awaits obedience to you and your word! Fill us full of YES! Amen!

“PROCESS!”

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 743

July 8, 2025///

As I share with you this morning, we are finally having the repairs started on the damage to our house back in May! Could it be any slower? I am not sure!

I believe that as I have been told, it will be quick now!

The preparation that had to be done with estimates and schedules and many other things was a process. As that process was in progress, I felt like I was in a process of patience.

We are all in the process of being formed. Some of the formation is for good and some will be not for our good or anyone else’s good.

Every day of our lives we are being formed in some way: we spend time in prayer and the word, and we grow closer to our savior, and realize how blessed we are, or we walk in frustration at delays and roadblocks to things progressing as we think they should.

We listen to all the bad news and negative comments around us and become one of those spreading doubt and fear and the more we are part of that the more we take it to heart and walk with defeat and no Joy!

We get caught up in the culture of this world and find ourselves walking in compromise and dealing with the guilt of it.

We are absolutely influenced by those people and things around us, so it is important to commit our day, our way, and our life to the Lordship of Jesus every day and allow His presence to lead us in the right thoughts and actions.

But we must also remove ourselves as much as possible from situations and people that bring us down. In situations such as the workplace where that is not possible, we need to guard our minds and hearts by meditating all day and/or night on the promises in the word and allow the word to not only protect us but affect those around us!

Our Heavenly Father is the Potter, and we are the Clay and when we allow it, He will lovingly mold us into a beautiful vessel to be used to bring others to the best life which is life surrendered to Jesus Christ!

We are all in process and we are all influenced by something every day. If we are being influenced by the Bible and our relationship with Jesus, we can then be the influencer to all those we meet, work with, etc.!

We should pray this prayer from Psalm 19 every morning and then allow it to manifest as we go through our day!

As we fill our minds with the truth of the Bible, we stand fast in the Power of His might!

Psalm 19:14 (KJV)

Let the words of my mouth,

and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight,

O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

WILL WE BE THE INFLUENCER OR THE INFLUENCED TODAY!

__________________________________________________

Father in Jesus name I come asking you to strengthen each of us in the truth that is in your word and as we meditate on it, we can show those around us the best way to live! Forgive each of us when we get frustrated or begin to look at circumstances all around us and change us from the inside out! Amen!

“TODAY”

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 742

July 1, 2025///

Today is the first day of July but it is also the first day of the rest of our life!

My thoughts go to this day, who will we have helped at the end! Who will we have helped at the end of this month, or the end of this year, or the end of our lives, which could happen any time!

What will be the most important thing those around us have learned from us at the end of this day, this way, and our lives!

I am sure I have addressed this thought before, but it is what is in my heart today! We are not an island! We are not in a bubble so that what we do does not affect those around us!

Are we living in Faith and Victory, teaching others by example that Jesus is the way, the Truth, and the Life!

You may be reading this thinking that what you do does not affect others, but may I tell you it does!

What you say lifts others up or put them down! What you do shows integrity and honesty or just a life lived for self and what will benefit you!

Oh, I am sure none of you have the intention of guiding people wrong, but our lives touch those we may never know, see how we handle each day and each situation!

If you feel like I have written along this line before just know I have but daily I see and hear of others who live as if they are an island. Then I observe the life of ones who desire to live good lives and will help others anyway they can!

As we have heard many times in our church, our victory starts in our minds. When we release our thoughts and minds to the Lord God Almighty, we think different than the world.

The Bible tells us that we can have this mind(thoughts) in us which is in Jesus!

1 Corinthians 2:16 (KJV) But we have the mind of Christ.

Whatever you do affects others!

Romans 14:7 (KJV) For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.

As I read the verse above, I think of things that I have done that affected others both in the negative and the positive and ask the Lord deep in my spirit to help me always live to affect positively!

I know this is a shorter me-maw thoughts than most but was what is on my mind today as we prepare to attend a memorial service for a dear child of God!

May I remind you of this scripture as I close!

Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

AND YOU CAN TOO!!

May we use our hands to soothe trembling hearts, our ears to hear the hurting cries, our eyes to see trying situations, and our feet to go where needed, and our mouth to pray comfort and peace, and our hugs to show love!

______________________________________________

Father, our creator God, I come in the precious name of Jesus’! I want to thank you that your word keeps reminding us that we are the only Bible some people read, and we affect lives more than we realize! Touch each of us with the desire to honor you in all we do and show others that your way is the best way! Amen!

“WHAT IF!”

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 741

June 24, 2025///

“What if this had happened?” or “What if I had done this?”, or “What if I had done this instead of this or this had happened this way instead of the way it did?”

I have spent a lot of wasted time wishing I had done something different, but we cannot go back. There is no back button nor delete on the things that happen in our lives!

I have spent time just thinking about what could have happened if I had done something different. Many of those are regrets but more of them are praise for what the Lord did in the situation!

The praises are protection and delays which resulted in protections and blessings that cannot be measured time after time! The times God turned around what I thought was bad and made it work for my good and His Glory!

I ask you today to think about how much time you may have wasted thinking about how things could have been different!

What if David had gone to battle with his troops instead of walking on the roof top of his house and seeing Bathsheba and desire her so much, he had her husband killed?

What if David as a young boy decided the Giant was too big and did not fight and the Philistines won?

What if Mary said no way or Joseph refused to obey?

What if you took a different route to work and found yourself in a major wreck?

What if you were born in a different place and were educated further than you are?

What if you had taken the time to tell that person who is now with Jesus how much you Love them?

What if your conversation with someone had taken a different turn?

I could continue but the point is the past is the past! The enemy of all that is good wants to prompt you to live in the “WHAT IF?”, world.

Dreaming of the future with a vision for what God wants is moving forward! Walking is the “What If?” world of the past is being stuck!

The Apostle Paul was probably tempted to regret with “What if I had not persecuted believers but listened to them?”

Or “Why was I so against Christians and Jesus Christ?”

But instead, Paul gave us the key to going forward instead of living in “What If?” world!

Philippians 3:13–14 (KJV) Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, 14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:13–14 (TPT) I don’t depend on my own strength to accomplish this; however I do have one compelling focus: I forget all of the past as I fasten my heart to the future instead. 14 I run straight for the divine invitation of reaching the heavenly goal and gaining the victory-prize through the anointing of Jesus.

The Apostle Paul wrote much of the New Testament! He planted churches and ministered mainly to the non-Jews!

This would not have been possible if he had lived in past regrets and “What Ifs?”

The apostle Peter also chose to go forward not dwelling on the fact that he had denied Jesus three times and decided to go back to fishing. Bur through God’s recommissioning Peter was a strong warrior and soul winner!

What about you? Are you going forward or looking backward? Are you looking ahead to the future God has for you or looking in the review mirror at what was before?

We cannot go back. Come to God sincerely and declare you receive forgiveness if you did something that needed forgiveness and declare you are laying all regrets and “What If’s” aside and will walk forward into the future God has for you!

Let us not let the enemy rob us of our future by accepting his invitation to stay in the “What If?” regret zone!

I declare each one who reads this in going forward as mighty sons and daughters of the most high God!

______________________________________

Father, forgive me when I let regrets crowd my mind and hinder my forward march toward your high calling for me! Let each one who reads this be aware of the “What If’s?” of the enemy! May we all go forward to the goal of being like Jesus! Amen!

“DADDY!”

Me-Maw Thoughts

June 17, 2025///

Many reading this in the season of celebrating Fathers, did not have a father who was present, or a father who loved Jesus, or a father who showed you love!

You may be one who does not know who your father is!

On the other hand, you may have had a great father and celebrated with him this weekend!

Grief surrounds some of you who have a father who has left this world!

I am 80 years old, and my sweet daddy left this world to be with Jesus when I was 22 years old! As the years have gone by, memories have become sweeter.

So, I was surprised Sunday morning (Father’s Day), in church when I was suddenly overwhelmed with a desire to feel my dad’s hugs, see his smile and hear his laugh.

As tears filled my eyes, I had an intense longing to hear him say everything would be ok! I felt a desire to hear him preach the message of a savior who came to set us free to be all we are created to be!

Yes, my daddy was an old-time preacher man, and I learned so much from him! He has been gone a long time but the timeless lesson he taught me not just by words but by his actions live on in my heart!

As the praise songs were lifted to heaven, the desire to feel my dad’s hugs were replaced by the overwhelming presence of my Heavenly Father, the one who created me and knows me best!

Our Father in Heaven filled me with the warmth of His Love and the knowledge that everything would be all right because He was in control and guiding all that affects myself and all my earthly father’s descendants!

Our prayers and the way we live our life, effects not just now but generations to come!

Whatever your daddy circumstances are today, I have good news!

You are Loved unconditionally by the one who gives you every breath you breathe and desires to guide your day, your way, and your life, if you allow Him to!

He is the Father who is present, who shows us love every day, our defender, and our safe place!

No matter how precious and wonderful an earthly father may be none are perfect!

But our Father God, our Abba Father, our Daddy God, is perfect in all He does! He loves with perfect love and all good and perfect gifts come from Him who never changes!

James 1:17 (KJV)                Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

James 1:17 (TPT)                 Every gift God freely gives us is good and perfect, streaming down from the Father of lights, who shines from the heavens with no hidden shadow or darkness and is never subject to change.

God is good all the time and is the perfect father! We can snuggle up to Him and draw strength from His presence!

2 Corinthians 1:3 (KJV)                  Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

He is our comfort, joy, and peace!

Hebrews 13:5 (KJV)                        Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

We can rest in His Love and know He is always there!

I encourage you to let Him love you and guide you in all you do! You choose to honor Him and let Him fight your battles or ignore His care for you and do it yourself!

Like me, you may have had a great Daddy, but no one loves you like the one who created you and placed you on earth for a purpose!

_______________________________

Father, thank you that you are our heavenly father who loves with a perfect and unconditional love! I pray that those who did not have a Daddy who loved God and who do not understand the love of a father will open their heart to your perfect love and walk in the light of who you are and who you are in us when we allow it! Touch all who read this and be very real to them! I ask this in Jesus’ name! Amen!

‘TEARS!”

We all are aware we are in a season of unrest in the weather, and it seems like storm after storm continues to be a possibility.

As I looked out the window of my kitchen this morning, I noticed how fresh everything looked after last night’s rain!

The thought occurred to me that our back yard looked like it had been restored to life from tears from heaven (rain)!

Some of you have shed buckets of tears lately for a loved one gone on to be with the lord, for a situation in your family or with your children, or a serious Doctors report!

I want to encourage your heart today that God sees every tear and He puts them in a bottle, and He will turn your mourning into Joy!

Jesus wept over Jerusalem and at the death of Lazarus!

Jesus followers wept, Mary, Martha and others wept, but their weeping turned into Joy!

The women with the Alabaster box worshipped with her tears and Jesus honored that sincere praise!

Psalm 56:8 (KJV)

Thou tellest my wanderings:

Put thou my tears into thy bottle:

Are they not in thy book?

Psalm 56:8 (TPT)

You’ve kept track of all my wandering and my weeping.

You’ve stored my many tears in your bottle—not one will be lost.

For they are all recorded in your book of remembrance.

Do you think God wept as He had to turn His back on Jesus who was being crucified for all the wrongs we have done or will do?

What if the torrential rains we have are God’s tears of hurt over the rebellion of the world systems and people calling good bad and bad good?

What if the refreshing of the calm rain is God saying I see your tears and will turn all things for your good and my glory?

The thing we do know is that God is aware of every tear and understands our grief and pain and we will look back and say surely the Lord walked every step through this valley with me!

May we turn our tears into worship for who He is and that He is with us and will guide us each moment of every day!

Rest in His Love and cling to the promise that He will turn our mourning into dancing!

Psalm 30:11 (KJV)

Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing:

Thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;

________________________________

Father, thank you for understanding our grief and our pain! May each of us rest in you and cast all our care on you! May you fill each one who reads this with your peace even in the midst of tears. We worship you even through our tears and we never forget you are on our side. We will come to you, and you will give us rest! Amen!

“SELF + WHAT”!

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 738

June 3, 2025///

Today my prayer is that you walk in the sunshine of the Love of Jesus and let your life be an example of His compassion and Love!

I just want to compare some similar words and some similar but different words this morning!

Selfish and selfless are descriptions of what drives our lives and our decisions.

For a selfish person, life is all about them and what they can get or be or succeed at. The other people around them are less important than they are!

Oh, they may not consciously decide to be selfish, but they let their personal desires and feelings come first before others, so their thinking is directed in the way to push themselves or receive for themselves.

It is interesting to me how at beauty pageants or awards programs, the runners-up or those who lost, congratulate the winner. That is how it should be but most of the time they are really felling like, “That should have been me.”

That is human nature but for those who want to live a better life, we need to let our hearts be changed to the opposite of selfish!

The opposite would be selfless.

The selfless person makes the self in their lives LESS than others. Their mindset is being aware of other people’s needs and desires and doing all we can to help in every situation.

Have you ever seen or had happened to you a person who was going to comfort you in grief or help you with a problem but ended up centered on their own grief or their own problems? This is a selfish person!

But that person who just opens their arms, their heart and their ears and listens and lets the Holy Spirit speak encouragement and comfort through them is a selfless person!

This person may have grief and problems, but they are centered on helping someone else feel hope in a hopeless place!

Jesus talked about the way to be selfless.

Matthew 23:11 (KJV)

But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

Colossians 3:17 (KJV)

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

There is the secret to a Selfless life. Doing everything as unto the Lord Jesus!

Therein is a combination of words! If we receive the LOVE Jesus pours out on us, we have true LIFE!

And if we walk in that true life, we can Love as Jesus Loves and put others before ourselves!

Romans 12:10 (KJV)

Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.

John 15:17 (KJV)

These things I command you, that ye love one another.

The Love Jesus gives lets us love as we should!

________________________________

Father, I come in the name of Jesus’ and thank you that the Love of you Father, and Jesus Christ our Lord fills us with the ability to Love Others and give up rights and show your love and compassion in all situations! May each of us let go of selfishness and walk in great selflessness! Amen!

God’s little nuggets would be the title for this if I had one!

Most of you know that two years ago last January, we had a tree come through the window side of our garage. In addition, we had 10 trees down in our yard that did not touch the house!

You would think the tree problem was solved, right? Well, read on!

Last Wednesday morning when a confirmed tornado came through South Atlanta and one article says on our road, we had a very tall, big tree fall right on our roof over the great room.

It was raining monsoons, so rain poured in on electronics and other stuff, pictures were knocked off the walls wet and ruined.

Limbs were hanging through the ceiling, and it was and still is a royal mess. The tree was removed and a tarp put on the roof by the contractor; wet carpet cut out and among other things an engineer is being called out by the insurance company to check the structure. There are cracks in the wall.

Yesterday the tarp did not do what it was supposed to do and the room got flooded again. It will be a long process!

One surprise was that our electricity stayed on the whole time! Go Figure!

Your probably wondering what God’s little nugget is!

So yesterday morning I sat here at my desk, which is not in the damaged area. As I was praying and reading in the sections of the Bible that I follow, one of the places I read was in Isaiah! I was somewhat discouraged about the whole tress episode!

I know the message in Isaiah was for the Israelites, but it became mine and touched and blessed me and brought me to tears as I praised God for His promises!

Isaiah 61 starts off about the anointing of the Lord and the Good News of the Lord!

Then I got to the part that said God was giving “beauty for Ashes” and a “Garment of Praise for the spirit of heaviness”!

Then I reached verse 7 in that 61st chapter and even though I do not have shame, I grabbed hold of the rest of that verse!

Isaiah 61:7 (KJV)

For your shame ye shall have double;

And for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion:

Therefore in their land they shall possess the double:

Everlasting joy shall be unto them.

Everything within me became Praise! I truly received a garment of praise for the heaviness I was feeling!

I Praise God that we will receive double for our trouble and that promise is mine. Those of you who were in the Circle Maker small group will understand I began to pray a circle of prayer of those promises around us and all this damage problem!

I had been declaring that God was going to use it for our good and His Glory and now this new promise was added!

As I close, I want to encourage you today to find God’s little nugget for your situation and begin to claim it for your own!

God honors His word prayed in Faith by His beloved sons and daughters!

_______________________________________

Thank you, Father, for being real and true and with us at all times and in every situation! May each of us stand firmly on your promises and let your word give us life and restore joy to our spirits! Amen!

“WHO ARE YOU PLEASING!”

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 736

May 20, 2025//

(Today I am reprinting a MeMaw Thoughts from May 2023 – I pray you are Blessed.)

Me-Maw Thoughts// Number 630// May 9, 2023

“You can please some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time, but you cannot please all of the people all of the time!”

I am sure some of you have heard that all your adult life, but it is true in our lives and in our churches.

How many of us spend our lives trying to please someone else. We worry what others will think and depend on other people for deciding our worth.

We let the opinion of others guide us instead of following what the Lord God Almighty says and leave the results to Him.

Jesus did what the Father would do. He communicated with the Father and paid no attention to the expectations of others.

We wear ourselves out trying to please everybody. We get frustrated because we cannot get everything that people want us to do done.

How many are working so hard to please their employer, they neglect God and Family.

Do not get me wrong. I believe we should work, take care of our families, do all we can for the kingdom of God.

But we need to let God lead us what to say no to and what to say yes to.

Our busy lives should never cause us to neglect the Word of God and Prayer and spending time in God’s presence.

If we are spending time in the Word and Prayer, we will have rest and direction that will cause us to accomplish much more than we can accomplish as we rush here and there neglecting the very thing we need.

Jesus said in Matthew 6

Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Look closely at that! Seek First means to put our time with Him in the Word and in Prayer, first. Then you will have wisdom and direction for everything else.

Many of us interpret that to mean go, do, try to fulfill everything that is asked or expected of us! That is not what this scripture says.

When we seek God first. He will show us the things He has planned for us.

I know people who seemingly cannot say no and end up weary, frustrated and dreading each day because there are not enough hours in the day.

2 Thessalonians 3:13 (KJV)
But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

The only way that we will not become weary in well doing and in the good things we can do is when we spend time in Father God’s presence.

Jesus, who was the word and wisdom in the flesh, took time to come aside and talk and listen to the Father!

How do we think we can run through our days and not stop and get refreshing and direction from the one whose plan is perfect.

Luke 6:12 (KJV)
And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

Mark 6:46 (KJV)
And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.

We use a GPS to show us how to get to unfamiliar places and which way is the best and unrestricted.

And yet we try to navigate this life that carries us to unfamiliar places we need guidance through, on our own wisdom and power.

May we understand the Fathers plans are amazing, but we must know His plans for this world we live in and individual plans for our lives.

Then we can walk in peace and calm and victory every day.

WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO PLEASE!

________________________________________

Father. I come in Jesus’ name and ask you to touch each of us with the desire to follow your plan and only seek to please you. Help us to understand the power of your word and time spent in your presence in our lives. and our abilities to do all you have planned for us to do. You have written our story! May we live in the way you wrote it. We trust you and follow you, Amen.

“CROWN’S!”

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 735

May 13, 2025///

This morning, I went to “Strong Rock Christian Academy, to see my great-granddaughter be promoted from Elementary School to Middle School.

As they began chapel, I watched as an auditorium filled with boys and girls from kindergarten through fifth grade begin to worship with songs of learning, like the books of the bible and the stories of old and then songs of praise that they were all into, in this time with the Lord!

The Holy Spirit impressed on my heart that these are the leaders of our world if it stands and whether they follow it or not they have been taught and know who Jesus is!

As they began to give out awards for different things you could see on each child’s face, the joy of the award they were getting.

My great-granddaughter received several awards but the most prized award she received was a beautiful trophy given each year by the founders of Strong Rock to one 5th grader, one 8th grader, and one 12th grader.

There were awards for different things and I began to think of the award of crowns that the Bible teaches us will be given when we stand before almighty God.

We will take the Crowns and worship Jesus by laying them at His feet because it is His power living in us that keeps us and allows us these Crowns.

I cannot cover all the types of Crowns that will be given but I want to show you a few verses about them!

2 Timothy 4:8 (KJV)

Henceforth there is laid up for me a CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

First of all, if we believe and receive who Jesus is we are clothed with righteousness through and through and will receive that crown!

Revelation 20:12 (KJV)

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

We will stand before God and receive crowns to lay at Jesus feet according to the way we used all that God gave us: talents, abilities, opportunities, and operating in the Fruit of the Spirit”!

1 Peter 5:4 (KJV)

And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a CROWN OF GLORY that fadeth not away.

James 1:12 (KJV)

Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the CROWN OF LIFE, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

There is more in the Bible about Crowns, but the point is what are we doing with what we have been given!

God does not expect you to do the same thing every one else is doing! He knows who you are, and He created you with a purpose and desires you live your best life by giving all you are to Him, to Bless and multiply, as you do the best you can for Him with what you have!

When we live life like that, we will one day hear that we were “Good and Faithful servants”!

Yes, we will receive crowns but we need to do our best for Him so others will see and be led to live their best lives by acknowledging Him as Lord! That is our Best reward!

We will lay our crowns at the feet of the one who made it all possible, as we worship the Lord of Lords and King of Kings!
