Last week I wrote about a God wink showing God’s love to us!
Today I want to expand some on God’s Love because I believe during this time in our world there are so many that believe they are not worthy of Love!
I want to take apart a verse from the 136th chapter of Psalms. This is a chapter of 26 verses that all start with the same thing and then list all the different things we should thank the Lord for and that His mercy endures forever! Reading the whole chapter will lift you up but I am going to use just the first verse!
Psalm 136:1 (KJV)
O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good:
For his mercy endureth for ever.
All these definitions are from websters dictionary!
GIVE: To convey to another.
THANKS: An expression of gratitude
LORD: One having authority over others.
GOOD: Doing good deeds.
MERCY: Divine favor or compassion.
ENDURES: Remains Firm! Continuing in the same state!
FOREVER: For limitless or for all time
May we take a minute to rewrite that verse?
OH! CONVEY AN EXPRESSION OF GRATITUDE TO THE ONE WHO HAS AUTHORITY OVER US: FOR HE IS DOING GOOD DEEDS: SHOWING DIVINE FAVOR AND COMPASSION CONTINUIOSLY AND FIRMLY FOR ALL TIME!
This is describing the true and Living God who some declare is harsh and unforgiving!
However, this entire chapter conveys a Savior who will Love us forever even when we reject Him or just ignore Him or blame Him for bad things!
Think with me of your children or others you love. Even when they ignore you or your advice you do not quit loving them. Most parents (all should) love unconditionally!
I know there is nothing my children or grandchildren or great grandchildren could do to stop my love for them. I may not like what they do! I may see the choices they are making are not the best! They may not listen when I try to tell them the good and right way, but nothing, absolutely nothing can stop my love for them.
So be assured that the God who is pure Love, will never, ever, ever stop loving you!
Look at two other translations of the first verse of that chapter!

Thank God! He deserves your thanks.
His love never quits.
Don’t you just love that phrase! “HIS LOVE NEVER QUITS”!

Let everyone thank God, for he is good, and he is easy to please!
His tender love for us continues on forever!
I want you to understand that your creator loves you unconditionally and do not believe any lie that says otherwise!
I love the saying: “IF GOD HAD A REFRIGERATOR MY PICTURE WOULD BE ON IT!”
Give thanks to the Lord for He is good!

Father, thank you for your Love! May each person who reads this understand that you are good and love them with a love that will not quit! I ask in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Amen!
