FREEDOM

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 330

May 23, 2017

John 8:36 (KJV)
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Galatians 5:1 (KJV)
1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

I AM STILL WEARING THE SLING TO KEEP MY ARM IN PLACE.  SO ONCE AGAIN I AM TYPING THIS WITH ONE HAND. TOMORROW I GO TO THE DOCTOR AND I AM EXPECTING TO BE FREE FROM THE SLING AND BE ABLE TO MOVE AND USE MY ARM.

I declare to you that this sling and not being able to use that arm and not being able to lay on that side is the most irritating thing I can think of. Everything I do takes a lot more effort than it would if I could use both hands and arms.

Therefore I feel like I am in bondage to this thing. I am looking forward to being able to move freely.

In the same way we are in bondage to the sinful nature we are born with until we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior. Then we are set free from the sinful nature and are given a new nature.

So let’s say that I go to the Doctor tomorrow and he says I can ditch the sling and move my arm freely. But what if I then say: “I am used to this sling so I just want to keep wearing it.  It’s not so bad.”

You, along with the Doctor would think I had lost my mind!

May I tell you, that is what many of us do in our Christian walk! We have a Savior who has set us free from the traps of sin! He has provided all we need or desire and yet instead of receiving the good and walking in a new and better way, we want to hold on to the old because it is familiar!

Galatians 4:9 (KJV)
9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

How sad that we who know Jesus as Savior sometimes choose to walk in bondage rather than build a vital relationship with the one who set us free and walk in and enjoy that freedom.

WHAT ARE WE SET FREE FROM? Here are just a few of the bondages from which Christ set us free!

>condemnation

>worry

>fear

>anger

>mistrust

>unforgiveness

>lack of self-worth

>thinking like the world system

>hate

>prejudice

>acting like those who do not know Jesus

Instead He fills us with, faith, love, peace, confidence, forgivness, etc.  But we must allow Him Lordship in our lives and then we can walk in divine freedom. We must trust Him with our entire being.

Do we trust the Creator God enough to give Him control?  What a fellowship, what a joy divine when we are leaning on His Everlasting Arms!

———————————————————–

Father thank you for freedom from the mold of the world system! Thank you that it was for freedom that Jesus lived, died, and rose again. Help me never to return to the bondage the world tries to place on each of us. Bless each person who reads this with the understanding of true freedom! In Jesus name I pray! Amen

My desire is that each of you walk in truth and freedom!

THE HEART!

Me-Maw Thoughts

Psalm 31:24 (KJV)
24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Proverbs 3:5 (KJV)
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

For those of you who may not be aware of why there were no Me-Maw thoughts last week I will give a quick update.

On Saturday May 6, I entered the hospital emergency room very sick and proceeded to be told my heart rate was at 27 and I was critical (should be 60 to 100). The nurse told my daughter-in-law later that they did not think I would come back from that.

After all the shots and emergency measures: they put into my body a temporary pacemaker.  My own heart was not beating enough to keep me alive so the pacemaker was doing the work.

This was followed by a permanent pacemaker on Monday.   So last Tuesday morning instead of sending out Me-Maws thoughts I was still in ICU.  I was released Tuesday afternoon.  I am wearing a sling on my left side where the pacemaker is so that I will not raise my arm or move it much.

I will wear this until next week when I return to the Dr. So I am typing this with one hand.

The Dr. has indicated there are issues with a heart valve so I have no idea what all that means however I know who holds tomorrow and I fully Trust HIM.

I decree and declare that I am healed by the stripes of Jesus.

I say to you this morning that prayer works!  I am able to type this today because prayer works!

This day’s writing will be shorter because I am using one hand but there is a thought I want to leave you with.

If the human heart is not working or stops working it does not matter how great the rest of your body is.  Your arms, legs, kidneys, lungs, etc, may be perfect but if your heart is not working you will die. The heart is the seat of life.

May I tell you that it does not matter what the rest of your life is like, if your heart is not right with God, you are spiritually dead!

The spirit of man is the life of man! Take care of it. Give complete control to Jesus.

Please continue to pray for complete healing in my body. God still has much for me to share.

Father thank you for life, breath, and peace!  May we take care of our spirit man and release all to you.   Amen

Think On Good Things!!

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 328

May 2, 2017

Philippians 4:8 (KJV)
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Philippians 4:8 (MSG)
8 Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse.

Philippians 4:8 (AMP)
8 For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].

What are you thinking about right now?  What are you dwelling on this day? What is causing you to lose your peace?

Philippians 4:8 sums up what we should be thinking about.  I have put three versions of this above and each one is clear that we are to be thinking about the good and not the bad and ugly.

As you are getting ready for your day; driving your kids to school; driving to work; taking care of an elderly or sick loved one; facing a court hearing; facing an impatient and cruel boss; facing life in the real word: I ask you what are you thinking?

Maybe you are thinking: “If I can just make it through this day.” or “If I can just make it until payday.” or “Why is my husband acting this way?” or “My children need more than I can give them.” or “If this traffic would just move.” or “I cannot believe what the Doctor said, how can I tell my family?” or “I cannot take another day at my work place!” etc, etc, etc.

I encourage you today to try following the direction in the scriptures above.  Put it to the test!!  Begin thanks in your thoughts and soon they will flow to your mouth and to your life.

Begin to think on the good things.  Begin to thank God that you have a job and thank Him for patience to deal with what you face today with His love flowing through you.

Begin to thank Him for your children and thank Him that they are going to do great exploits and change their world for Him!

Begin to thank Him that you are wonderfully and fearfully made and that He will never leave nor forsake you and your family.

Begin to think about the times He has spared you from disaster and begin to think about the fact that the God of the universe sees you and knows every situation in your life.

As you face or think about each discouraging situation or impatient or ugly acting person, in your mind begin to praise God that you are able to see the situation because you are not blind and hear the hurtful things said because your ears work.

Then begin to thank Him that He is Lord and you are awesome and with Him flowing through you, you are well able to handle it.

I ask you to be aware of every thought that you allow into your mind and as you change your thinking, you will change your direction.

THINK ON GOOD THINGS!!!

GOD IS GOOD…..THINK ABOUT GOD!!!

________________________________________________

Father God, I come to you in Jesus Name.  Thank you for the Cross, thank you for Salvation, thank you for eyes to see, ears to hear, and a mind that is filled with your thoughts.  Thank you that your plan is to give us Peace, Joy and Love and to provide all of our needs.   May everyone who reads this begin to take control of their thoughts and think on good things!  Amen

I love you all dearly!

WHAT DO WE ALLOW?

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 327

April 25, 2017

“My mind is alert and my heart is receptive!”

This is a phrase of a declaration of the Word of Almighty God, the Bible, that both Pastor Rick and Joel Osteen have the congregation declare at the beginning of a sermon.

It is important that our mind is alert and our heart is receptive to the Word that is brought forth from the anointed man or woman of God.

However this morning that phrase keeps running through my mind and spirit and I want us to look at that in regard to our entire life.

As we take each step and go each place through our day I ask you: WHAT IS OUR MIND ALERT TO AND WHAT IS OUR HEART RECEPTIVE TO?

Romans 14:22 (KJV)
22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he ALLOWETH.

Titus 3:8 (KJV)
8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Colossians 3:23 (KJV)
23 And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

What are we allowing in our life that does not honor the Lord Jesus Christ and our commitment to Him?  What do we need to let go from our life so that we can be an example in word and in deed of one who has been redeemed by receiving what Jesus did on the Cross?

What is our mind alert to: the words of Almighty God that we have hidden in our heart or the words of the social systems of this world that are bent on pulling us from God’s best for our lives?

Is our mind alert to those around us and the possibility that we can encourage and lift them up and even help in tangible ways? Or do we walk through each day trying to grab all we can out of life regardless of who it hurts?

Or maybe we just get so wrapped up in our own lives and situations that we are not allowing the spirit of God within us to help our minds be alert to not allow evil to influence us to be less than God intended us to be.

Do we allow evil to infiltrate our mind by what we allow through movies or music that lifts up ungodly lifestyles rather than honor the Creator God?

We are light and salt to those all around us.  Have we allowed the standards of the world to hide our light and take the taste from our salt?

What are you allowing in your life that when examined in the light of Jesus Christ will for you, is not drawing anyone to Him?  What are you filling your mind with that is changing your mindset on what to allow in your life?

The phrase “It won’t hurt to………….” is a lie from the enemy of your soul that hates you.  We must say with the apostle Paul:

Acts 17:28 (KJV)
28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

What are you alert to and what are you allowing?

_________________________________

Father forgive us our neglect of understanding that our lives are beacons to those around us. Forgive us for letting our minds be tuned to the world’s ways instead of your voice.  Forgive us for allowing things into our lives that do harm to your kingdom and our walk with you. Fill us with a fresh determination to be careful what we allow and what we are alert to.  Renew in each of us a right spirit and a clean heart and life.  In Jesus Name I Pray! Amen

Allow God’s Best in you Life!

Royalty

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 326

April 18, 2017

1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:

I got out of bed this morning knowing that royal blood flows through my veins.  I realized as I began to move about that my Father, the Lord God Almighty Loves ME and desires to walk with me and communicate with me.

1 John 3:1 (KJV)
1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

The world may not recognize that you are royalty but that does not make it any less true.  I saw a movie once where a Princess came to America and tried to live among common people for a little just to see what it was like.  All the time she was being searched for because it did not matter where she happened to be she was Royalty and could not change that.  In the end she took her authority. I believe I also saw a movie similar to that but the Royal one was a Prince.

This morning I ask you: Do you know who you are? Are you taking your rightful place as the sons and daughters of the Creator God?  Have you put on the Royal Robes or are you trying to integrate yourself into the world system and hide the fact that you are Royalty?

May I tell you that if you are hiding from the truth of your Royalty, the one who knows you best and Loves you most has His Holy Spirit nudging and drawing you back to all that you are and all that He has provided!

2 Thessalonians 1:2 (KJV)
2 Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Being Royalty not only gives you authority but gives you personal access to the throne room of God.

We know who President Trump is but we cannot walk into the white house and up to the living quarters and just walk in.  But Barron Trump, the President’s son, can walk right into the living quarters and right into the room where his father is with no worries about not being allowed or accepted there.

We may know who God is but when we receive the price Jesus Paid for us on the Cross we become Sons and Daughters of the Creator God.

That means we can walk into the throne room of God and just get a good hug and have conversation with our Daddy God and have our concerns listened to and our needs met.

WE MUST ADJUST OUR THINKING!!!! WE ARE ROYALTY!!! OUR FATHER IS THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE!!!

I can change the world around me and bestow Blessings on others and love them as Jesus Loved and pray for them and their needs.

A world full of needy people (No matter how successful…without Jesus we are needy) are waiting for you to step into your Royal Robes and take authority over the evil that abounds in this world. If we will walk in the light of who we are, we can dispel the darkness.

Glory to the Lord Jesus!  He paid the price on Calvary and that means that I am a Daughter of the most high God.  I am Royalty and I will walk as part of the Royal Family of God and spread Gods Love to stamp out the darkness.

YOU ARE ROYAL, ACT LIKE IT!!!

______________________________

Father,

I come to your throne room through the blood of Jesus Christ. I thank you that your Love and Grace and Peace are surrounding and filling me with all I need to fulfill my Royal position.  I take authority in the name of Jesus over all the lies of the enemy that we are not what we should be. Thank you that we are complete in you and we are the light of the world.  Bless each person who reads this with the realization that they are Royalty.   Amen

Sons and Daughters of the King: put on the Royal Robes and take authority!

IMAGINATION

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 325

April 11, 2017

Our brain is an amazing thing and out of it comes our imagination that can have us in incredible places doing incredible things or seeing our friends and family doing amazing and incredible things.

Children have wonderful imaginations that just make childhood fun and exciting.

Imagination comes from the brain and is thoughts we think and allow to grow in our minds.

Webster gives the definition of THINK as:

  • to devise by thinking
  • to have as an expectation
  • to center one’s thoughts on
  • to form a mental picture of

Webster gives the definition of IMAGINE as:

  • to form a mental image of (something not present)
  • to form a notion of without sufficient basis

The definition of think and imagine are very similar so in the following scripture think could also be rendered as imagine.

Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Ephesians 3:20 (AMP)
20 Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]—

Ephesians 3:20 (MSG)
20 God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us.

I ask you today: What can you think and formulate in your mind?

I don’t know who: but someone said:  “If you can think it, you can achieve it!”

I listed above three translation of the verse in Ephesians that talks about what we ask, think and imagine.

But did you notice that the key to the things you ask or imagine happening is the Spirit of the Living God working in you.  When you give your entire being to the Lord Jesus Christ He will work within you and your mind so that the imaginations and the dreams and the thoughts become realities.

The only restriction placed on having anything we can ask or imagine become a reality is ALLOWING THE SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD TO CONTROL our mind, will and emotions.

We do that when we first accept Jesus Christ as our Savior and then proceed to give every area of our lives to His Lordship.

Remember that it was beyond anyone’s rational thinking that Jesus could raise from the dead, but that became a reality.

What can you think or imagine: What is outside your realm of reality?  May I tell you today that when you release all you are to the control and guidance of the Lord Jesus they can all become realities!

Let the child of God within you loose and begin to think and imagine the amazing things that do not make common logical sense. May we delight in the Lord God Almighty and walk in the lightness of His Joy!

Let God Control and then you Imagine!!!!

_______________________________________________

Father God, I come to you in Jesus Name. From the innermost depths of my being I desire more of you. I desire to praise and please you.  I desire that you are in control of every area of my life and therefore I am free to imagine and dream and expect those dreams and desires to become a reality. I Trust you and ask you to have your way in my life. Amen

What are you imagining?

ARE YOU EMPTY?

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 324

April 4, 2017

If you went to the streets to feed the homeless but had no food to hand them you would accomplish nothing.

If you visited under the bridges to distribute coats but had no coats to give out you would accomplish nothing.

If you wrote a million dollar check to a worldwide missions organization but had zero in your bank account you would accomplish nothing. (other than maybe getting arrested)

If you went into the ghettos to distribute Bibles but was empty handed you would accomplish nothing.

THE POINT: In order to give out you must have something to give.

So I ask you today, why would we think the above situations are so ridiculous and yet we try to live a Christian life and tell others about a God who Loves them and we are dry and empty in our innermost being?

We know the right words to speak but they have no life in them because we have neglected to nurture the life of God in ourselves. We have on the religious garments if you will, but as Jesus said we are like dead people, when we have let the life in us become dim or go out.

Romans 15:13 (KJV)
13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

What do you have to give to those in this world who are begging for a reason to live? What do you have to give to someone who is struggling with a deadly disease?  What do you have to give to the discouraged, lonely, frustrated and exhausted people you see every day?

There is a line in a song that keeps running through my mind. I tried to find the song but not knowing the name of it and just searching with the one line did not work.  But the line is:

“How can I serve you when my soul is empty?”

Our soul is our mind, will and emotions.  If we spend time in fellowship and worship of the Lord God Almighty, the Spirit of the living God within us will fill our minds, our wills and our emotions with His wonderful warmth and care and power.

We can then give out Joy and Peace and Godly Wisdom to others. We can then be an example in word and in deed of a savior who loves and cares for us.

Just as we cannot really know a person without spending time with them, we cannot not really know our Savior and Lord without spending time in His presences!

When we have no Joy we cannot spread Joy. When we have no peace we cannot spread Peace.  When we do not Trust and walk in Fellowship with the Lord God Almighty, we cannot point others to that Trust and Fellowship.

YOU CANNOT GIVE OUT WHAT YOU DO NOT HAVE!

I challenge you to spend some time each day reading the Bible and then just sitting in the presence of the one who loves you most and allowing Him to fill you with His Love and care.  Then you can go forth into your particular duties, etc with something to share and let flow through you.

Ask!!!!! Ask God to fill you with His Spirit so that you can spread the light with your life and your words.

Psalm 16:11 (KJV)
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

________________________________

Father, thank you for your presence in our lives!  Thank you that we are not alone! Thank you that if we will just come to you and let you prepare us for our day and our way, we can walk in a way that will draw a lost and discouraged world to you.  Give each person who reads this a deep desire for you and your presence.  Thank you for your Love and Care! In Jesus name I pray! Amen

Don’t face you day and your life empty!

The Desert

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 323

March 28, 2017

Imagine yourself in a desert.  It is dusty and hot, the sun is beating down and the longer you are there the weaker you become as you drag yourself forward.  You are looking for water: water to quench your thirst and revive your body so that you can continue out of this hot dry desert.

Then you see it: a body of water straight ahead and you plunge forward only to find it is a mirage.  A mirage is something that appears real but according to the dictionary is ……….

an optical effect that is sometimes seen at sea, in the desert, or over a hot pavement, that may have the appearance of a pool of water or a mirror.

Imagine your feelings of disappointment as you realize that there is no water, no cool stream.

May I tell you this morning that trying to find true happiness and satisfaction in anything is this world other than a relationship to Jesus Christ is a mirage.

You may find great hope as you run toward that goal or that rung on the success ladder or that person or that job or that house or anything else you may desire. But when you get there you find it is a mirage.

There is no true joy or contentment apart from honoring God and walking in a real vital relationship with His Son Jesus Christ.

Let’s go back to our desert experience and imagine we see a body of water and when we reach it we find real refreshment as we drink deeply, pour some on our head and maybe sit down right it the middle of it and bask in the feel of it.

This is a picture of what accepting Jesus as Lord and building a relationship to Him is like.  It is a true refreshing, life giving, and Spirit Alive walk.

John 4:14 (KJV)
14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

John 7:38 (KJV)
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Your are created for fellowship with the creator God through what Jesus did on the Cross.  When we realize that true life is found only in Him and we decide that He is the way the truth and the life we can find the real water: the real stream of life and we can know true Joy and Peace.

Revelation 21:6 (KJV)
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.

Revelation 22:17 (KJV)
17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

The choice is ours.  We can keep reaching toward the mirages that the world places in front of us or we can decide to come to the real life giving water and live….truly live.  We are not created to exist. We are created to live and fulfill the amazing destiny God has for us.

Drink from the fountain of life!!!!

______________________________________

Father, in Jesus name I come and thank you for the life giving water that flows freely through those who will receive it and live. Bless each one who reads this with the desire for all you have for them.  Amen

Come to the life giving water and be refreshed.

FAITH CAUGHT!!

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 322

March 21, 2017

My Faith in Jesus Christ came early in life.  Raised in a Preachers home I truly gave my heart to Jesus at age nine. I felt lead this morning to share something that happened a couple of years before I truly received Jesus as my Savior. I pray that it encourages you to know that your faith lived out can effect even the youngest lives around you. The events of this story shaped my life as few things ever have.

________________________________________________

My turning point in knowing Faith in a loving savior began at age seven.  I remember that morning just as if it were yesterday!  It was Brownie Scouts day and I had on my cute little uniform and was ready for the day.

I am the youngest of six girls and I had several nieces and nephews. This was many years ago so we had no telephone.  There was a knock at the front door and when my Mom came back from answering the door, she told me my nine month old niece, Connie, had died in her sleep (crib death).

My Mom was crying and although I did not quite understand what was happening, I understood that it was not a good thing. As my Mom began to put on her clothes and get dressed to go to my sister’s house, she began to whisper the name of Jesus.  All she said, over and over again, was Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.  To my seven year old mind and spirit that was showing me that it is through Faith in God and the price His Son Jesus paid on the Cross, that we can find strength in adversity.

I watched as the peace and strength of God came over my Mother and she was able to walk through this path of sorrow.  When I realized that I would never be able to play with Connie again in this life, I also realized that it was by Faith in a Loving Heavenly Father that I would walk on.

The name of Jesus and Faith: what a powerful combination!

________________________________________________

Philippians 2:10 (KJV)
10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

This true story is an example of faith caught by watching it in action.  The name of Jesus is Powerful and is able to bring comfort, move mountains and change lives.

I challenge you today to speak that name aloud and to understand that everything bows to that Mighty Name.

___________________________________________

Father thank you that in the name of Jesus all things are possible! This morning I ask you to touch all that read this with the Power of that wonderful name. May we use the name of Jesus effectively in our lives! I ask you to touch each of us with the reality of all that Jesus paid on the cross.  Amen

Several times a day speak that wonderful name!!

Weather!!!!

Me-Maw Thoughts

Number 321

March 14, 2017

Once again I stand amazed at how our weather can go from one extreme to the other in a matter of days.  This email is read in several parts of the country so some of you are experiencing unseasonable warmth, some a blizzard and here in Georgia we have gone from the Seventies to the thirties in a matter of days.

At the end of last week when the weather began to change to cold and rain at times I did not hide and give up life.  I put on warm clothes, a coat and used an umbrella if necessary. We use our air or heat depending on how the weather is and order our activities according to what the weather allows.

The point I am making is unlike the bear that hibernates for the cold season, we keep going and adjust to the weather.  Even if a blizzard keeps us snowed in we find indoor chores and activities to keep productive while the storm blows over.

May I share with you this morning that in our Christian walk we will encounter all types of weather.  We will have times of sunshine, rain, wind, snow, and even times when we feel that we are weathered in and cannot make any progress.

At those times we should adjust our covering of Faith and the Glory of almighty God accordingly.

When the sun is shining and your life is on track and favor is coming your way, you can bask in the sunlight of His Love and “Praise Him” because you are able to share the Love And Joy of knowing Jesus.

When the rain begins to fall and maybe your tears fall as well, you put on the rain coat of the “Praise of Knowing” that from the rain comes flowers and steady growth and that you are able to share the Love and Joy of knowing Jesus even when you are holding the umbrella of perseverance over yourself.

As the wind begins to blow we put on the scarves, hat and coat of “Praise for the Warmth of the Holy Spirit” as we allow the Love and Joy of Jesus to flow out of us to spread His warmth to others. We stand firm in His Love as the wind blows our way.

Then the snow hits and we must bundle up more, drive with wisdom and watch our steps as we navigate the snowy walks and roads with “Praise that our steps are ordered by the Lord”.  We walk and travel carefully as we listen to His instructions and share the Love and Joy of Jesus.

Sometimes in life we are hit with a blizzard that just stops us from reaching outside our selves and we feel stuck. At those times we need to just rest in the arms of a loving savior “Praising Him that He will never leave us”.  Even in the hardest and most difficult times we can show those around us the Love and Joy of a relationship with almighty God.

Just as the physical weather affects everyone, the ups and downs of our daily life affect everyone.  It is how you handle it that is different.

Matthew 5:45 (KJV)
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Who is your life founded on??

Matthew 7:25 (KJV)
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

We can grow in the rain!

Hebrews 6:7 (KJV)
7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

Are you moved by what is happening around you?

Acts 20:24 (KJV)
24 But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Did you notice in the examples I gave you two reoccurring statements.  Praise in whatever weather we are in and sharing the Love and Joy of Jesus.  Praise defeats satan and glorifies almighty God who then steps down into your situation and gives you Peace in the midst of whatever weather you are in and that allows others to see the Love and Joy Jesus gives.

Wherever you may be in your life today allow the presence of Jesus and the Praise of who He is to flow from you and all doubts and fears will flee.

Father, in Jesus name I come to you.  Thank you that when we walk in fellowship with you we can say with the apostle Paul: “none of these things move me”.  May each person understand that when the Lord Jesus is their Savior they can stand strong no matter what is going on!  Bless each one who reads this with a new determination to Praise you not matter what.  Amen

Have an awesome week Praising God no matter what!

Love, MeMaw
