I realize that this song is not referring to the Love of God but the Love of God shown through His sons and daughters are exactly what the world needs. With that in mind if want to share with you again a Me-Maw Thought sent out in 2016. Let the Holy Spirit touch you to be His hand extended.

Last night on the news I was watching a news reporter interviewing prisoners who were admittedly gang members. What tugged at my heart was that every one of them answered the question of why they joined a gang with the same type of answer,

>They were part of something

>Had someone who cared

>Felt welcome

>Felt part of something that mattered

Does this remind you of what we know? It should remind us of how our churches are: welcoming and caring……extending brotherhood and sisterhood to all who come in.

We know that Jesus Christ came to restore our fellowship with the creator God and give us something worth living for and making us part of something bigger than our self.

As a church body we are the representatives of the Lord Jesus Christ.

But I’m afraid many of the churches in our world are so far from accepting and showing people acceptance and receiving them as a part of something bigger than their self that Jesus must weep.

The news reporter then talked with an FBI agent who confirmed that gangs were growing at astronomical rates.

That tells me that the church is not getting its message to the hungry hearts who need a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Someway we must get the truth of God’s Love to a generation of youth who are looking, who are lost, who are finding the wrong thing.

Look at the following verses that John wrote.

1 John 4: 9-11 (KJV)
9 In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.

So how do we reach those who are hungry for something but they do not know what?

I know there are inner city ministries who are reaching out but what can we who are not in the inner city do. There are gangs all over and youth who are not in gangs that are looking. There are stressed Moms that are looking. There are dads and singles and younger children that are looking.

We can make sure that every person we meet and every person that steps into the church we are part of, feels welcome and knows that Jesus Loves them and we do to. We must love people in spite of their status in life.

We do not love peoples sin but we must reach out and love and understand that each of us were born with an emptiness that can only be filled with a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Love overcomes differences in culture and attitudes and age.
Let’s begin to love like Jesus!
That’s the only answer I know!

Father, my heart cries out for all those who are searching for love and acceptance and who do not know that you can give them the peace, joy and self-worth they are seeking. May I allow you to fill me so full of you that they will see your love through me and my attitudes and actions. May my church be a place of goodness and mercy. Touch me and use me. Do you ever hit the mute button on the remote control of your TV during a commercial or when you need to answer the phone, etc.? Do you ever turn off the sound on your computer or phone?

You can still see the screen and still see the movements but you cannot not hear what is being said.

In the same way, I believe we put our Spiritual ears on mute. We know God is in our lives. We can even see His hand sometimes but we have to hear what those around us or the world system or our own fleshly desires are telling us so we put Gods voice on mute.

For a moment consider this: The Creator God, the one who spoke everything into existence wants to speak to you deep in your innermost being by impressions that you know are from Him and we have our Spiritual ears on mute.

We cannot hear Him because the noise of those around us and all that our minds are being bombarded with each day have our attention.

If you have young children or teens, how many times have they not heard what you are saying because they had the music to loud or were playing with friends and only had ears for them?

How many times have you talked to someone and felt like they really had you on mute, lost in their own thoughts or concerns?

In those situations, have you ever thought “If they would just listen!”?

God created man in His image. He loves us and knows the way we should take and yet we tune Him out or put His voice on mute. What a slam to the one who breathed life into each of us and who has a wonderful story written for our good and yet we cannot take the time to commune with Him and let Him heal our hurts, calm our fears and give us divine guidance.

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

Do you have ears? Take Gods voice off mute!

If we just understood the magnitude of God’s love and care for us and His desire that we hear His direction and His love song to us, our lives would go to a whole new level of wonder and excitement.

Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.

Our powerful creator God knows each of us and desires a relationship with us more precious than we can imagine. He is with us and He is our strength and guide if we will take His voice off mute!

Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

I admonish you today: Dare to listen and hear what the Lord God Almighty is saying. Just get quite and tune out or turn off the other noises that are screaming in your ears and head and listen deep within! He will speak!!

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

2 Corinthians 1:20 (KJV)
For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

This week I found that my desktop computer is running such an old windows program that it will not allow the internet to work correctly. Now up until a few days ago I thought it was working great and then it seemed like it just decided to quit working right.

So, my computer needs updating with a different windows system. Even when I thought it was working correctly things were not right within the system. I was missing some of the benefits and things my computer should do for me.

Now if you look at the first scripture above we are told that the Lord God Almighty loads us daily with benefits and the second scripture tells us that His promises to us are YES and AMEN. Amen means let it be so!!

May I tell you that God will load you with all kinds of blessed benefits every day: favor, strength, friendships, open doors of ministry, jobs, food, clothing, and more importantly: peace, joy, love and direction.

WELL??????? Then why do we not have these benefits in our lives? Why do we daily struggle with situations and problems, defeat and lack of direction?

Just as my desktop computer, we are running on old programs. We are running on last month, year, or even yesterday’s blessings. We are being hinder by our flesh and fleshly desires because we are not daily allowing the Spirit of the Living God to load us with the benefits Jesus Paid for by coming to earth and paying the ultimate price.

Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV)
22 It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Even when we are on the latest programs on our computers there are constant updates to keep us running with all the good new stuff! May I tell you that God’s Mercy and Blessings are new every morning, His benefits are ours to enjoy but we must spend time in His presence letting our Spirit receive the updates for today.

Yesterday is gone, tomorrow may not come. We have today and today the God of the universe wants to load us with benefits. God desires to Bless us but we must come to Him.

What do you need? Father God has it!! He is the Great I am!! We cannot receive His Benefits without spending time in His presence through prayer, meditating on the word and praise.

As we do our part to come to Him, He then fulfills His promise to cleanse us and fill us full of all we need to be all we can be in a world that needs to see someone who really loves Jesus.

But sometimes we would rather complain about the problems and keep walking in the old ways and remembering back when, instead of coming to Jesus just as we are and letting Him update our Spirit and fill us full of hope, and everything else we need for a peace and joy filled journey on this road called life.

I don’t know about you but I want the full benefit package from our Father God. I want to daily have Him fill me with all I need and to be renewed all through the day because I allow updates to my Spirit.

How about you? Do you want to struggle along on your own or on yesterday’s blessings or do you want to be daily loaded with benefits? I think it is a no brainer! Lord load us up as we submit each, day, way, and situation to you!!

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I come to you. I release to you my day and all that will be part of my day. I release to your Lordship every situation and circumstance in my life. I ask you to fill me with your love and mercy and all that I will need for this journey. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight oh, God. I receive your benefit package and open my heart up for your abundant blessings. I ask this for all who read this and my we understand that your way is always loaded with benefits. Amen

Have you ever felt like no one really understood you?

How many times have each of us made the statement: “You just do not understand!” or “They do not understand!”

We all want people to get where we are coming from.  We all have had times when our words and intentions were one thing and the person hearing them took them entirely different.

May I tell you today that we have a Heavenly Father that totally understands each of our desires, dreams, frustrations, intent of the heart, etc.

The Creator God knows every part of us better than we know ourselves.

My heart is full of wonder that My God actually understands me. He knows the deepest places of my innermost being and He Loves me!!!

¹ But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.

Wow! How amazing that the God of the Universe: the God who Created everything, knows us as no one else knows us.  Not only does He know the depths of our feelings, emotions, and desires, He Loves us in spite of how many times we may reject that Love.

Many times we see a good person and can accept that God Loves that person, but the truth of the matter is that God Loves all people.  If you would categorize yourself and good, bad or in-between may I tell you that you are Loved and were created by the Heavenly Father and if you will receive it: redeemed through the blood of Jesus!

You see the Creator God sees you walking in the destiny He has for you.  He can reach way down deep and pull out the roots of hurt and bitterness that may be holding you back from His Best.

He can heal the scars from childhood abuse or hurts.  He can redirect that anger to the enemy of your soul who is all about destroying you.

God sees and understands every mean and demeaning word that has every been spoken to you and His Holy Spirit can dig deep and pull out of you things you had pushed down and forgotten but that are keeping you from His best.

I admonish you today to realize God knows you and Loves you and desires to set you free from all that life has thrown at you to keep you from your destiny and the Peace and Freedom Jesus Christ purchased for you on Calvary.

Come to Him: Let Him into the hurts and confusions and He will set you free!

As I said last week it is for freedom that Jesus Christ died and rose again.

Know that you are Loved and can walk in Faith and Victory!!

FREEDOM IS NOT FREE!!

Many fought and died for the freedom of The United States of America.

ONE Savior bled and died and rose again for the freedom of all mankind from the bondage of sin.

³⁶ If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

Romans 8:2 (KJV)
² For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

When we receive Jesus as our Savior He sets us free from all satan’s plans no matter where we are on the earth.  But since today is the fourth of July, the day we celebrate our countries freedom I want to address the freedom we enjoy in the USA and what our responsibilities are to continue that freedom.

On July 4, 1776 thirteen colonies declared their independence from England by the signing of the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Our founding fathers wanted a nation where people were free from England’s unfair control. They wanted a place where they could worship Almighty God in any way they chose. If you examine the original constitution much of it is based right out of the word of God.

The United States of America has been so blessed because it has honored God.  Since we have strayed so from honoring God as a nation, a few years ago I typed out my prayer for America and shared it with our church.

In honor of all the men and women who died for the freedom we enjoy (don’t ever forget that there are people right now all over the world being tortured and killed for their faith in Jesus Christ) I am sharing this with you today.  May we all pray this prayer today and every day until revival comes to this great nation.

MY PRAYER FOR AMERICA

FATHER IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS, I COME TO YOU.

I ASK YOU TO CLEANSE ME AND GIVE ME A PURE HEART.

I DECREE AND DECLARE THAT THE LEADERS OF OUR COUNTY, STATE, AND COUNTRY WILL BEGIN TO SEE WITH SPIRITUAL EYES.  LET THEM SEE CLEARLY THAT WITHOUT TURNING BACK TO YOU WE CANNOT MAKE IT.

I PROCLAIM THE VICTORY OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS TO INVADE EVERY AREA OF THIS NATION: A NATION WHO HONORED THE TRUE AND LIVING GOD AT ONE TIME.

WE REPENT WITH A SINCERE HEART FROM THE IMMORALITY THAT IS NOW ACCEPTED AS THE NORM. WE REPENT, WITH SORROW OVER ALL THE UNBORN BABIES WE HAVE ALLOWED TO BE MURDERED IN THE NAME OF CONVENIENCE AND THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR.

WE REPENT OF VOTING FOR A POLITIAN NO MATTER WHAT THEY BELIEVE AS LONG AS THEY WILL VOTE FOR A FEW MORE DOLLARS IN OUR POCKET.

WE COME TO YOU WITH A HEAVY HEART FOR THE IDOLS THAT WE HAVE ALLOWED TO TAKE YOUR PLACE IN OUR LIVES, OUR HOMES, OUR CITIES, OUR STATES, AND OUR COUNTRY.

WE HAVE MADE IDOLS OUT OF JOBS, SUCCESS, PEOPLE, THINGS, POPULARITY, AND FAME.  WE HAVE REPLACED GOOD OLD FASHIONED LOVE FOR YOU WITH LOVE FOR OTHER THINGS.

HEAR US OH LORD!  FORGIVE OUR SINS AND HEAL OUR LAND!

IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME I PRAY!

Share this with others and let’s follow God’s instruction in the above scripture and be the answer to our great Nations problems.  God will heal our land if we will pray!!!

I have an interesting word on my mind this morning:

FAITHFUL

What does that word mean?

1. full of faith
2. steadfast in affection or allegiance
3. firm in adherence to promises or in observance of duty
4. true to the facts, to a standard, or to an original

What does Faith mean?

a:  allegiance to duty or a person  loyalty

b:  belief and trust in and loyalty to God

c: firm belief in something for which there is no proof

d: complete trust

As I had yet another heart procedure yesterday (they were checking my arteries) I was so grateful for the faithfulness of my husband and family.

As many people carried out their part of this whole morning, I was grateful for their knowledge and their faithfulness.

So today as I think of all the things that go on in my world, IN ADDITION TO MY WONDERFUL FAMILY, I am grateful for the faithfulness of:

• My Pastor who prays for and serves our congregation.
• My church Family and leaders.
• My accounting buddy who has carried on with all things during this heart experience.
• For the person who takes care of our yard.
• For our mail delivery and garbage pick-up people.
• and on…and on…and on!!

BUT I AM MOST GRATEFUL FOR THE FAITHFULNESS OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST!

So let’s look at what we are faithful to.  Do people look at us and see a person who is true to their word and faithful to follow the Lord Jesus Christ?

I know you have all heard the old question; which came first, the chicken or the egg?

Well I ask this morning which comes first; Faith or Faithfulness?

I think it is a circle! When you have Faith in God or Faith in the results of what you are doing, you become faithful to that person or task.

On the flip side of that if you are faithful to a task or a person even when there is no Faith….you will soon find yourself filled with Faith.

Being faithful produces faith and having faith produces faithfulness!!

So when you feel you spirit being drawn to something, be faithful and God will fill you with Faith.

If you have faith in the Lord Jesus or one of his mighty warriors let that faith show itself in your faithfulness.

BE FAITHFUL IN WORD AND DEED!

One night this past week we had a pan with stuck on food pieces.  It looked like it would never be clean and might have to be thrown away.

However I put a little dishwashing detergent on it and filled it with water and let it soak overnight.  Guess what!! The next morning the stuck on particles just washed right off.

I could have struggles and scrubbed and fumed and worked and I might have gotten some of it off but I chose to soak it over night in water and dishwashing liquid and it was easy to just rinse on off.

Why am I sharing a story about my pan with you? Because there is a very special spiritual truth in this story!

In our walk in this crazy world we live in we sometimes get particles of left over stuff stuck on us. We may have fretting, unforgiveness, impatience, irritations, prejudice, roots of rejection, etc just stuck and hanging on pulling us down in our minds, wills, and emotions and especially in our spirits.

These things tend to make us feel like we are never going to be clean and we just need to be discarded, thrown away, no longer useful.

But may I tell you today that if you will soak in the water of the word and just let the word fill you through and through and the Holy Spirit (which I equate with the dishwashing detergent) do a work in you then you can be clean and useful to live life as it is supposed to be lived and to point others to the giver of life!!

We can fret, fume, be depressed, blame everyone else and just give up or we can choose life by soaking in the word and letting the holy spirit cleanse us.

The Psalmist David said it so good:

² Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

¹¹ Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

⁵ The hills melted like wax at the presence of the LORD, at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

I say to you today that everything you need and everything you need to be free from is found as we sit in His presences and let His word fill us. There is wisdom, joy, peace and freedom found as we soak in His powerful presences and let His words of life give life to our spirit.

¹³ Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence.

Nahum 1:5 (KJV)
⁵ The mountains quake at him, and the hills melt, and the earth is burned at his presence, yea, the world, and all that dwell therein.

²³ And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Whatever is stuck, whatever is missing, whatever needs cleansing and filling is taken care of as we soak in HIS PRESENCE!

What do you need? Stop trying to scrub and fret and take care of it, just soak in the Love that the Father has already proved to us! Then the things we struggle with will just rinse right off!!

Father thank you that in your presence is fullness of joy!  Thank you that all we need is ours as we spend time just soaking in your word and in your presence.  May I never depend on myself for cleansing but always snuggle close to you. Bless all who read this with a desire for you and a desire for your presence.  Amen

Psalm 139:13-14 (KJV)
¹³ For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
¹⁴ I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

What a scripture to meditate on this morning.  We are uniquely made by the hands of the creator God.  What peace and security is in the knowledge that we are not just a product of someone’s act of love or passion but we were planned and formed by the creator of the universe.

Psalm 8:3-6 (KJV)
³ When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
⁴ What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
⁵ For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
⁶ Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

The most amazing thing to me is that God made us with love and care and put within us everything we need to fulfill his plan for us.  His plan is a good and fruitful plan and He is watching over us and longing to be able to fellowship with us and meet all our needs.

God sees me right now and knows the desires of my heart and the thoughts and meditations of my heart.  He knows the way that I take and He is there to lead and guide as I open our heart to Him.

God is love and He formed me with loving hands and His plans for me are amazing!

Did you notice that the above scripture tells us that he gives us dominion over everything He made? We can stomp on evil and declare victory!

Isaiah 30:21 (KJV)
²¹ And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.

Open your spiritual ears and you will hear the voice of the Lord God Almighty!

What do you see when you look in the mirror? Do you just see a person struggling to get from one day to the next? Do you just not see anything worthwhile? Or do you see yourself as a son and daughter of the most high God?

I challenge you to look at yourself and say: “You are a child of the most high God and you have authority over all the works of evil and you have dominion over everything you will face and you are an amazing and wonderful creation of the God of the universe!”

I appeal to you today to understand that in this whole vast expanse of universe, the creator of it all not only knows you but hears every thought, every cry, and every fear of your heart.

Psalm 91:1 (KJV)
¹ He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

What a warm and secure place to be under the shadow of the almighty.  To be under a shadow you have to be really close.  As we draw near to God and snuggle up next to Him we are under His shadow which is protection, love and peace.  He is fighting our battles for us and He wins every time!

OH HOW I LOVE JESUS AND HOW AMAZING THAT HE LOVES ME AND CREATED ME ON PURPOSE AND FOR A PURPOSE.

Rest in His love today and snuggle don’t struggle!

JUST BLAME IT ON AGE!!!! I TOTALLY FORGOT TO DO ME-MAWS THOUGHTS YESTERDAY!!! DID YOU MISS ME???

Last night when I remembered I had not done my normal Tuesday Me-Maws thoughts I felt totally blown out of the water.  I knew it was Tuesday all day but never thought of my normal sharing!

This morning I want to talk about preparation. Since my episode with my heart I have been thinking that unless Jesus comes back, one day (a long time from now) I will lay down this house of clay and see my savior face to face.

We have wills but they are very old so we are having them updated and will add a living will and power of attorney.  All of this to make things easier for those left behind.

As I thought about what preparations people make for living (jobs, vacations, visits with family) and for the end of life, it occurred to me that it is sad that people are not as concerned with what happens after their life here on earth, as they are with living and the process of dying.

⁸ We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

If Jesus Christ is your Savior: through Faith in Him you can be confident that as your eyes close here in death you will be in His presence.  It will be like it was when you were a child and went to sleep in the car or couch and woke up in your own bed.  You will just pass from the realm of the temporary to the realm of the permanent!!

It has been a long time since I have seen a sign that used to appear a lot on billboards, etc: the words were: “PREPARE TO MEET THY GOD!”

I ask you this morning: are you prepared for eternity?  Let me assure you that life is short and eternity is the ultimate destination for each human being.

¹⁴ Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.

There is another place that those who reject what Jesus did for us on the cross will go when they die. Not the presence of Jesus but to an eternal hell.  I know that people do not want to think about this but the truth is that you will spend forever in the presence of the creator God or in a place of eternal torture.  The choice is yours!

So if heaven is real and we can look forward to being with Jesus what should our attitude about this life be?

⁸ For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.

We are children of the Most High God and we should live act and walk like sons and daughters of the Creator God of the universe. As we allow the holy spirit to live through us we can show the world Gods great love and sacrifice by our lives.

We should not live to ourselves but live to represent Jesus in every way!

Life is short: eternity is long: Prepare to meet your creator God!!

I spent Saturday and Sunday night back in the hospital.  My Pacemaker seemed to be not doing right and my heart rate was up and down. But a check of it shows it seems to be functioning properly.

On one of the ceiling tiles above my head as I was laying in the hospital were words I want to discuss:

STOP

DON’T FALL

CALL

This was a reminder to call a nurse and not try to get up by myself.  As I kept noticing the sign I began to think how that applies to our Christian walk.

When we are up against a struggle or just living life 101 or pursuing a dream or desire we need never try it alone.

Trying life alone results in falling down.  I know that we can fall down and then get up again, but isn’t it much better if we don’t fall down at all.  Then we do not need to heal and be repaired.

The secret to that is to STOP and CALL on Father God for help with each thing we do!  Then we DON’T FALL because the Creator God is helping us in our weaknesses.

¹⁶ Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

The admonition to come boldly reminds me of how foolish I felt calling the nurse each time I had to go to the bathroom because I was quite capable of walking the few feet to get there.  However I boldly pushed the call button because that is what I was told to do.

No matter how much we feel like we can run our life ourselves, we must come boldly and request help from the one who is ready, willing and able.

This is an amazing promise.  Our Father God will not only help us but He will reveal to us His power in showing forth great and mighty things.

He is listening!! Call!!

We then declare His name by our example!

² Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

³ I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.

Doing life without letting God through the Holy Spirit guide and help us is breaking the STOP, DON’T FALL, CALL rule.  You may make it sometimes but when you CALL on the one who is always there to help you: you will never fall.

Don’t be stubborn!!!!! CALL!!!!!

Father thank you that you are my constant companion and guide! Thank you that I do not have to take one step without you holding my hand.  When I am weak you are strong and hold me up always.  Thank you for your Love and Care! Invade each person who reads this with the knowledge that you are on their side and stand ready to help when they call on you! I pray this all in the name of your precious son Jesus Christ! Amen
